He was now deeply skeptical about how the other party had been defeated.
Tsunade appeared beside the two of them, looking at the brothers with disappointment.
"Fighting among yourselves during a mission? You two are completely unqualified."
Hizashi Hyuga protested, "It was Hyuga Akira..."
"Enough. I don't want to hear your excuses," Tsunade interrupted coldly.
She had no desire to get involved in the Hyuga Clan's mess, either. Hyuga Hiashi's haughty tone had already started to annoy her.
She had no idea what the Hyuga Clan had been thinking, putting these three together.
The Hyuga Clan had arranged this trio entirely on its own.
But the conflict between them was far too intense.
Hyuga Akira didn't care what the others did. It would be even better if they didn't follow him.
That would save him from having to compete with them for mobs.
Bandits had already appeared ahead, and there were even more of them than at the foot of the mountain.
"Who goes there?!"
"How did you get up here?!"
"This brat's a ninja!"
They watched Hyuga Akira lean forward, his arms stretched behind him, as he closed in on them at incredible speed.
But before he reached them, he suddenly stopped. His hands began swinging forward, flinging shuriken one after another.
The group at the front toppled forward with shuriken embedded in their necks.
"Enemy attack!" A piercing cry echoed across the mountains.
But what these men faced was an endless barrage of shuriken.
A visible wall of shuriken kept hurtling toward them.
Not just their necks, but their shoulders, chests, and arms kept blossoming with blood.
Hyuga Akira was like a shuriken-throwing machine.
He stood in place, doing nothing but throwing shuriken.
He had stockpiled more than ten stacks of 99 shuriken in his inventory.
His smile grew even brighter as he watched the notifications constantly scrolling before his eyes.
His eyes suddenly turned toward a ledge more than three meters high beside him. Someone leaped down from it, gripping a sword.
"I've been waiting for you."
Before the man who jumped down could react, countless shuriken struck him dead.
This wasn't some fighting game.
This was a shooting game!!!
Chapter 5: The Boss Showed Up Before I Finished Farming the Mobs
The Hyuga-Brand Shuriken Launcher stopped. His aching arms were one reason.
The main reason was that everyone standing in front of him was already thoroughly dead.
Only a group who had been alert enough to hide behind trees and rocks remained.
"What a shame. I'm not strong enough," Hyuga Akira sighed regretfully.
Even with chakra strengthening his arms, he couldn't throw shuriken through trees and rocks.
But they didn't dare come out now, either. With that terrifying number of shuriken, anyone who showed their head would die instantly. Who would dare emerge?
[Experience: 328]
He had killed more than thirty people in one go. These bandits really weren't worth much.
He checked the dropped items. Only he could see them, and each had a distinct physical form, with little flecks of light shimmering around it.
He stepped forward and quickly collected the drops. Most were silver.
Even a mosquito had some meat on it. He had spent a lot of money on shuriken and had nearly exhausted what little wealth his family had.
If graduating hadn't allowed him to become a genin and earn money, he would soon have had nothing to eat.
This money had come at just the right time.
[Money: 96 ryo]
"Finally getting some money back." Hyuga Akira breathed a sigh of relief. With this money, he wouldn't have to tighten his belt to get by.
Besides the money that dropped,
quite a few items had dropped as well.
[Iron ore] ×3 [Yarn] ×2
These things were of little use to him. They were all materials for crafting professions, so he tossed them straight into his inventory.
The best drops were two pieces of equipment.
[Bandit's left greave: movement speed +5] [Bandit's right bracer: strength +3]
"The Bandit Set, the best starter equipment set." Hyuga Akira's eyes lit up.
He remembered that completing this set granted a skill, [Cheap Shot], which could forcibly silence an opponent for three seconds.
Although it only worked on targets below level thirty, it was still an incredible skill in the early stages.
He equipped both pieces immediately, clenched his fists, and felt himself brimming with strength before continuing to run forward.
Just as he passed a tree stump,
Hyuga Akira suddenly stepped back. A bandit sprang out from behind a tree ahead, his sword slashing through empty air.
He turned his head stiffly and gave Hyuga Akira an awkward look.
Hyuga Akira returned an awkward but polite smile.
Then he drew his kunai across the man's throat.
[Experience: 12] [Money: 3 ryo]
Hyuga Akira pushed off the ground, moving a little faster than before as he rose and fell like a phantom.
Bandits kept emerging, only to have a kunai drawn across their throats or driven through their chests.
As screams rang out one after another, the bandits in hiding no longer dared emerge. They didn't even dare make a sound.
One bandit huddled up and prayed.
"Don't find me. Don't come looking for me."
It suddenly fell silent outside. He cautiously raised his head, and a head poked around the rock in front of him.
"Found you."
"Ah!"
Hyuga Akira flicked the blood off his kunai and scanned his surroundings with the Byakugan. Not a single living person remained.
With the Byakugan's penetrating vision, they couldn't hide at all. Most of the remaining bandits had fled.
"Sooner or later, I need to farm a barrier ninjutsu drop."
In the game world, mobs wouldn't move from their spots until they were all killed, and they could even respawn.
But things were completely different here. The mobs here could run away.
Two kunai flew toward him from behind. Hyuga Akira shifted his head twice to dodge them, and the kunai sank deep into a rock.
In the sunlight, he saw two wires attached to the kunai.
"Fire Release! Twin Dragon Fire!"
In the distance, a man whose bandaged face left only one eye exposed held the other ends of the wires between his teeth. Flames poured from his mouth, racing along the wires toward Hyuga Akira.
At the same time, a short man wearing steel claws on both hands leaped down from above.
Bosses could come to him on their own, too.
Hyuga Akira's left, right, and overhead were all blocked off, and he couldn't escape forward or backward, either. He was in serious danger.
Bang!
Smoke puffed up, and a curved shield blocked the space in front of Hyuga Akira, with a rock sheltering him from behind.
The flames only heated the shield red when they struck it, while the descending man's metal claws sent sparks flying against its surface.
"Where did that shield come from?!"
What kind of ninja went out carrying a shield?!
"Substitution Technique!" Hyuga Akira added belatedly from beneath the shield.
"That's a fucking Substitution Technique?! Who uses a shield for a Substitution Technique?!" the man with steel claws snapped furiously.
"I used a spiked club earlier, too," Hyuga Akira muttered.
The short man couldn't take it anymore and charged straight at the shield.
Hyuga Akira kicked the shield, sending it hurtling toward the short man.
The shield sent the short man flying backward along with it.
Whoosh!
The short man was slammed down beside the man casting ninjutsu, and the smell of roasting meat wafted up.
"Ah!"
The short man immediately shoved the shield away. The front of his clothes had been charred black, and the flesh beneath had blistered from the heat.
"You damned brat!"
He glared furiously at Hyuga Akira.
Even angrier than he was, Hyuga Akira roared, "Couldn't you just stay put at the mountaintop?!"
He had still been planning to finish farming the other bandits.
At the very least, he wanted the other pieces of the Bandit Set to drop. So far, he had gotten four pieces.
Besides the first two,
there were also:
[Bandit's right greave: movement speed +5] [Bandit's right bracer: strength +5.]
He had gotten a second right bracer, but he didn't have two right hands.
He still needed a left bracer, a necklace, and a ring.
Bandit bosses generally dropped armor and battle sabers.
If he killed these two early and the other bandits ran away, whose fault would that be?!
It certainly wouldn't be his.
The two men were bewildered. Were they not allowed to come down the mountain?
He was clearly the one attacking them, so why did he seem even angrier than they were?
Before the two could react.
Before you continue
