Outside, the clamor was completely shut out by the heavy hall doors, leaving only a bright moon hanging silently in Spirit City's night sky, bearing witness to the tenderness and lingering passion within.
The night passed without further words, until the first ray of morning sunlight pierced the clouds and spilled gently over Pope Hall's glazed tiles, refracting brilliant golden light.
Su Yu rose from the bed, refreshed and invigorated.
He lowered his eyes and looked at Bibi Dong, who was still sleeping soundly beside him.
Her exquisite face, usually cold and imposing, had shed all its defenses, revealing a languid, endearing innocence.
Su Yu's gaze softened further. He bent down and gently tucked the slipped brocade quilt around her.
Then he turned and changed into a fitted black outfit.
The deep-colored fabric made his figure look even taller and more slender, lending him a sharper, more lethal air.
Su Yu returned to the bedside and looked at the still-sleeping Bibi Dong. Lowering his head gently, he placed a soft kiss on her warm, tender lips.
"Dong'er, wait for me to come back."
"Mmm..."
Bibi Dong murmured in her sleep, as though she had sensed something. Her delicate brows knit slightly, and she burrowed deeper into the quilt.
At the sight, a gentle smile appeared on Su Yu's face.
He straightened, tucked the quilt around her, then turned and strode out of the room.
As the hall doors slowly closed behind him, the gentleness on Su Yu's face vanished, replaced by cold severity and indifference.
"Your Highness!"
Su Yu had just descended Pope Hall's steps when two familiar voices came from behind him.
"Uncle Ju! Uncle Gui!"
Su Yu stopped and looked back to see Chrysanthemum Douluo Yue Guan and Ghost Douluo Gui Mei approaching at a brisk pace.
