"Old Zhao! Drive!"

Yang Yong suddenly roared, "Head for the Blood Moon! Floor it! Forget the fuel!"

At his words, Old Zhao instinctively looked down at the fuel gauge.

The next second, he froze.

The needle on the fuel gauge pointed squarely at full!

How was that possible?

There had clearly been less than half a tank before they set off. Who... had refueled the bus?

"What are you waiting for? Drive!"

Yang Yong's roar rang out again.

Old Zhao jolted and slammed down on the accelerator!

Vrooom!

The bus let out a strained roar.

Its tires scraped against the ground, sending up billows of black smoke.

He actually forced the bus into something like a launch-control start, sending it hurtling madly toward the Blood Moon!

Meanwhile, inside the Coffin Temple behind them.

A woman's piercing shriek suddenly erupted, followed immediately by an earth-shattering boom!

Yang Yong drove the One-Yang God-Sealing Banner hard into the bus's frame, adding another surge of brute force to the speeding vehicle, then whipped his head around.

One look was all it took for him to swear, "Holy shit!"

The sight was simply too staggering!

The entire Coffin Temple had risen off the ground.

Five black chains as thick as enormous pillars were wound tightly around the temple, pulled ever higher by a tremendous force. The ground below split and heaved like flimsy paper, sending rubble and dust flying everywhere.

Yang Yong followed one of the chains with his eyes. Its other end led straight into the depths of the sea of trees!

What was hiding there?

The question had barely surfaced.

An even more horrifying sight met his eyes.

An enormous tree giant that blotted out the sky was being forcibly hauled out of the ground by the black chains!

And atop the tree giant's head was precisely where that sea of trees had been.

Those towering trees had actually been the tree giant's hair!

This world was too fucking fantastical!

It was not just Yang Yong. Even Cao Xianming and his group, who had been lurking in a corner waiting to ambush someone, felt their scalps prickle at the sight, forgetting even the exhaustion of their journey.

Cao Xianming's face was ashen, and he said nothing;

Wang Ying gripped her saber's hilt, her knuckles white, gathering all her strength while keeping the aura around her tightly contained;

Only Zheng Xiaofeng stared slack-jawed, his voice trembling with terror. "It's huge... and this is only one of them!"

That was right. This was only the beginning.

Besides the giant tree creature.

There were more.

A colossal sea monster with a human torso and a fish's tail, an iron giant gleaming with a cold metallic sheen, an enormous flaming bird whose wings blotted out the sky, and a giant pangolin with tough armor covering its back were being dragged out of their respective habitats by the black chains, one after another.

All five behemoths were bound by black chains, pulled bit by bit into the air by the Coffin Temple!

Every hair on Yang Yong's body stood on end, his scalp tingling as though an electric current had passed through it.

Any one of these enormous creatures could crush him to pulp with a single breath!

This was no struggle to survive the apocalypse. This was a complete newbie stumbling into a top-tier match!

Holy fucking shit!

"Old Zhao, faster! Hurry!" Yang Yong roared.

Driver Old Zhao said nothing. His right foot hammered the accelerator down, almost driving the pedal into the fuel tank.

The bus hurtled wildly along the bumpy road toward the Blood Moon hanging high in the sky. There stood a transparent wall gleaming with a cold light.

The closer they got to the wall, the more conflicted Yang Yong felt.

The sounds of the fierce battle behind them were deafening.

Like a real coffin, the Coffin Temple had been lifted open a crack, and a slender, snow-white arm reached out from within.

The arm looked no more than as slender and soft as a young girl's, yet every sweep sent the five behemoths reeling back!

Ahead was a transparent wall of death; behind was a meat-grinder battlefield.

Yang Yong's thoughts churned. Did I really have to pin all my hopes on Cao Xianming's instruction to "follow the Blood Moon"?

Before he had much time to wrestle with it, he caught sight of three black dots racing toward them in the distance.

Were those...?

Three off-road vehicles were lined up, charging desperately this way. It was Cao Xianming and the others!

On the last off-road vehicle, the short-haired Wang Ying had a hand pressed to her saber's hilt. Her killing intent was concentrated to its limit, and she was clearly already poised to strike.

Yang Yong hesitated no longer. He channeled all the energy in the One-Yang God-Sealing Banner into the bus, boosting its speed by another thirty percent!

But just then, a bone-chillingly shrill voice suddenly rang across the entire battlefield. "You aren't getting away!"

Yang Yong was shaken to his core!

It was the Eerie Bride's voice!

She was still alive!

A red, ghostly figure burst through the smoke and dust, hurtling toward the bus like an arrow loosed from a bow, astonishingly fast.

The Eerie Bride had now lost a hand and a foot, yet those injuries had not slowed her in the slightest!

What kind of bullshit rules were these?!

Yang Yong had no energy to complain. Seeing the ghostly figure arrive in an instant, her sharp nails stabbing straight toward his heart, he immediately activated the One-Yang God-Sealing Banner. "Red-Clothed Female Ghost, go!"

The Red-Clothed Female Ghost rolled her eyes at Yang Yong, but she could not resist. She turned into a streak of red smoke and rushed forward to try to stop her.

But with just one palm strike.

The Red-Clothed Female Ghost was scattered into a skyful of red mist and fled wretchedly back into the banner, unable to put up even the slightest resistance!

"Little Golden Flood Dragon Scissors, go!" Yang Yong tried to activate another magical artifact.

But he instantly remembered.

The One-Yang God-Sealing Banner was driving the bus at full power. With his current Qi Induction cultivation, he had no energy left to activate the Little Golden Flood Dragon Scissors!

Cold sweat instantly slid down his temples and soaked his back.

As the Eerie Bride's nails were about to pierce his chest, only one thought remained in Yang Yong's mind: I'm done for!

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Wang Ying on the distant off-road vehicle seemingly about to strike. Yet she appeared to hear some order and resumed her poised stance, remaining completely still.

Cao Xianming must have stopped her from acting!

Yang Yong cursed inwardly. Fuck! Old Cao, you screwed me over!

But before his cursing ended, a lingering sigh suddenly sounded beside his ear. "Ah, forget it. I owe you."

The next second, space split open.

The small, snow-white hand that had reached out of the Coffin Temple suddenly appeared. It seized the charging Eerie Bride as though picking up a chick, then swept back and locked her away!

Yang Yong instantly let out a breath of relief and slumped into the seat as though all his strength had drained away.

He was saved!

Had the Ghost Bride inside the Coffin Temple stepped in to help him?

He looked back.

Sure enough, because of that delay, the five behemoths had seized their chance and were relentlessly battering the small, snow-white hand.

It was driven back again and again, barely holding them off.

And between that hand's fingertips was the immobilized Eerie Bride.

Yang Yong understood at once.

That hand had lost its overwhelming advantage to save him!

So that was what "I owe you" meant!

With the Eerie Bride taken away, he was just about to breathe a sigh of relief when the giant tree creature abruptly turned and charged toward the bus in great strides!

Every step the tree giant took shook the earth and sent rubble flying. Its enormous feet could practically flatten an entire stretch of road.

"Fuck! How can something that big still be so agile?"

Without another thought, Yang Yong lowered his head and kept channeling power into the God-Sealing Banner, forcing the bus to flee desperately toward the Blood Moon.

By now, that transparent wall was only a hair's breadth away.
