Shimura Danzō appeared elsewhere and looked at the footprints covering his body. He was a sorry sight, yet he still could not sense where the three of them really were.
He grew a little anxious.
He quickly formed a hand seal. "Wind Release: Wind Swirl Turbulent Wave!" A wide-ranging gust swept toward them.
At that moment, Shimura Danzō, Hiruzen Sarutobi, and Tobirama Senju all noticed a change in the thirty shadow clones.
"So that's it! Haha, I understand now," Tobirama Senju said with a laugh.
A moment later, Hiruzen Sarutobi also smiled and nodded.
Shimura Danzō understood as well.
He increased his chakra output. Before long, the enormous tornado blew away those twenty-seven shadow clones.
Three bedraggled children lay motionless on the ground.
"Danzo, that was too much. They're still children. You hit them too hard," Hiruzen Sarutobi said.
"Spare me your smart remarks. You weren't the one getting kicked by a whole crowd," Shimura Danzō grumbled.
Hiruzen Sarutobi suppressed a laugh and said nothing more.
Tobirama Senju said, "All right, that's enough testing for today. Their strength is beyond question. They're geniuses among geniuses. When the Chunin Ninja Exams come around in a year, they can definitely take first place."
Hiruzen Sarutobi and Shimura Danzō both nodded in agreement.
Tobirama Senju continued, "Danzo, make sure you guide them well on missions."
"Yes, teacher," Shimura Danzō answered respectfully.
Tobirama Senju said, "Mm. We'll be going now."
Once Tobirama Senju and Hiruzen Sarutobi had gone far away, Shimura Danzō sat down where the three lay unconscious. He did not intend to wake them so soon.
He needed to think about how to get along with them from now on. *That junior fellow disciple of mine, honestly. He's taught such monstrous students. I heard they were just the bottom of their class.
