Ch. 26Another Goofball!

Kakarot and the others traveled south across the enormous island to find Little Croc, collecting unfamiliar plants along the way. At the swamp, the fearsome 800-meter Emperor Crocodile surfaced, only to greet Jörmungandr like an affectionate pet.

  • Lina formed a cloud for the group to ride and another overhead to cool them as they headed south toward the swamp.
  • Lilith excitedly examined unfamiliar plants, while Yueli gathered medicinal herbs she recognized.

  • An enormous Emperor Crocodile charged out of the water and crawled toward them, while Lina blocked the mud he splashed up.
  • Little Croc rubbed his snout against Jörmungandr like a puppy, and Jörmungandr affectionately stroked his jaw.

Ch. 27Guardian of the Forbidden Tree! (Destroyer)

Ch. 28Seven days later?

Kakarot and his companions spent the next several days training on the mysterious island, sharpening their abilities through battles and sparring. Though Kakarot had planned to leave after seven days to find Ace's mother, he stayed because the others wanted to continue training and there was no urgent news from the Revolutionary Army.

  • Slade, Bailing, Baixue, and the other Beast Kings fought the island's fierce beasts, while Hades trained Little Croc in Armament Haki and Observation Haki.
  • Athena, Yingyue, and Vian sparred with their swords as Mihawk and Shanks watched, learned from them, and competed against each other.
  • After Mihawk and Shanks asked Kakarot why their training had become so effective, he shared his theories about mysterious substances in places like the Calm Belt, and the two returned to training with renewed drive.
  • Lilith, Lina, and sometimes Bailing fought Jörmungandr, while Kakarot advised her on developing her darkness abilities; her progress accelerated through the battles.
  • Kakarot passed his days flying over the island and spending relaxing nights with his companions, but stayed after they asked to keep training rather than leave for the South Blue to find Ace's mother.
