Xu Wang looked in the direction the children were running. A cluster of balloons floated in the air, their strings held tightly in someone's hand.

The enormous bunch of balloons blocked the mascot's face.

Xu Wang headed toward the balloons. Only when he drew closer did he realize the person holding them was in a puppy costume.

The puppy mascot wore blue cartoon overalls and bent down, handing balloons to the children in front of him one by one at an unhurried pace.

Xu Wang crouched off to the side. Suddenly, the mascot nearby caught his eye.

It was a handsome fox mascot.

He was different from the other mascots. The others held all sorts of toys and were surrounded by children, but he alone stood blankly in place with empty hands.

A little girl received a pink balloon from the puppy mascot. When she spotted the fox mascot, she excitedly trotted over.

Xu Wang watched the scene with interest.

Inside the fox costume, Pei Yanchuan had of course seen Xu Wang too. He was slowly approaching Xu Wang at a rate of one meter every few minutes. Just as he was finally about to get close, a little girl suddenly stopped in front of him.

With a stiff expression inside the costume, Pei Yanchuan held the girl and swooped her up and down twice, then slowly set her back on the ground.

There wasn't a trace of fear on the little girl's face; instead, she looked as though she hadn't had enough. But she didn't make a fuss about doing it again. Smiling broadly, she waved at Pei Yanchuan instead. "Thank you, handsome fox uncle! Bye, uncle!"

Like a robot, Pei Yanchuan raised his right hand and waved it from side to side.

After receiving his response, the girl happily threw herself toward her parents.

Watching the fox mascot's stiff movements beside him, Xu Wang laughed even more freely.

Just as Xu Wang was laughing so hard he couldn't stop, a huge shadow suddenly appeared in front of him.

Xu Wang raised his head in confusion.

The moment he looked up, he saw that the fox mascot beside him had somehow already walked in front of him and opened his arms toward him.
