Mu Bai survived the Chen Household’s conflict, rose to Pill Hall Master, and led an expedition through the Fallen Spirits Ruins while uncovering his connection to the ancient Immortal-Origin War. He left the arc in the Silver Frost Forest with a completed third Soul Mark and a new resolve to uncover the Immortal Realm’s crimes.

• Mu Bai and Chen Qi escaped their pursuers through the Extreme Cold Forbidden Land, where Mu Bai froze Xue Dongming and the Songzhen Ridge Master before defeating them and reuniting with Chen Jianduan and Chen Jianli.
• Chen Shichong and Ji Ruxia pledged to marry, and Chen Jianduan led the Chen Household’s retaliation against Beishan Lie and Beishan Fengyun before Mu Bai departed for the Spirit Taming Sect.
• Mu Bai returned to the sect, won the elite disciple challenges by killing Han Zongtang and defeating Zeng Yuan in an alchemy contest, and became Pill Hall Master.
• Mu Bai joined the expedition to the Fallen Spirits Ruins, learned the Green Duckweed Sword Art, met Ancestor Hai Ze, and received the Human-Beast Supreme Token before returning to the ruins.

Mu Bai left the Silver Frost Forest and entered the White Wolf Tribe under the name Yu Yi, where his ties with Wu Meng and Wu Daoyi led to a violent confrontation. After Wu Daoyi escaped with Wu Tai, Mu Bai joined the tribes’ expedition across the Dao Sea and began refining pills from a sea dragon’s core.

• Mu Bai tempered his meridians in the Crow Cauldron, strengthened his body, and later helped the Blood Phoenix fight the Day Owl before receiving a Ten Thousand Beasts Seal and leaving the Silver Frost Forest.
• Mu Bai returned to the ruined Haibei Tribe, sought Mi Yan, and drew White Wolf City’s attention by refining pills before Wu Yuan invited him to the White Wolf Tribe.
• Mu Bai befriended Wu Meng, gathered Wood-Attribute Crystals with her, and challenged Wu Daoyi after escaping a tiger attack with her.
• Mu Bai visited the Taoyuan Tribe, shared pill formulas and sword techniques, and faced Wu Daoyi and Zhan Hong when they disrupted the Peach Blossom Banquet.

Mu Bai claimed the World Tree and Moon Sea Pearl, escaped Madam Seven Emotions’ Painted Realm, and avenged the Haibei Tribe by destroying the Qinghe Tribe. After evading Du Xiang and reaching the Hundred Refinement Sect, he reunited with Hai Zhan, Hai Qing, and Hai Dong, while learning Hai Chen was still alive.

• Mu Bai led his companions through the ancient cave abode’s trial, then fought Wu Daoyi and the other young cultivators before killing Wu Daoyi and the Eastern Nether youths.
• Mu Bai freed the Three-Legged Golden Crow, claimed the World Tree, and fled toward Eastern Ridge as the Artifact Spirit Ancestor explained the tree’s power and the realms beyond Dao Zun.
• Mu Bai searched the Moon Sea for the Moon Sea Pearl, became trapped in Madam Seven Emotions’ illusion of a past life with Ruohua, and then lived in her village with Ye Wan.
• Mu Bai joined Chen Laosan in battles beneath the sea, obtained Sea Ridge Soul Milk from the Sea King, and experienced a vision of leading the sea races in war against the continent and fighting his fated opponent.
• Ye Wan revealed her moon-pearl form and helped Mu Bai leave the Painted Realm, after which he traveled to the Qinghe Tribe and slaughtered its cultivators in vengeance for the Haibei Tribe.
• Mu Bai killed Qing Mang, learned Qing Cang had exposed the Haibei Tribe, spared the kneeling Qinghe people, and hung the two leaders’ heads at the Haibei Tribe’s gate before Du Xiang attacked him.
• Madam Seven Emotions drove Du Xiang away while Mu Bai escaped, then Mu Bai reached the Hundred Refinement Sect and reunited with Hai Zhan, Hai Qing, and Hai Dong, giving them weapons and learning Hai Chen was alive.

Mu Bai strengthened his allies, settled old scores, and pursued Ling'er while expanding Mu Lan Pavilion into Ximu City. As he began opening a passage through the Shuhuan Mountain Range, Taiyuan Qing's construction project became the target of a deadly plot by the Dharma Lotus Trading Company.

• Mu Bai helped Hai Zhan advance, arranged protection and sect status for Hai Qing and Hai Dong, and joined Bailianzi's expedition for Breath Soil, where the group fought an Origin Dragon.
• Mu Bai killed Zhan Hong, reached Treasure-Gathering City, and defeated the men sent by the Star Great Tribe before returning to Mu Lan Pavilion and reuniting with his companions.
• Mu Bai helped Zeng Yuan win Zhou Dechen's permission to marry Mu Lan, then confronted Zhou Dechen at the wedding after he attacked Zeng Yuan and injured guests.
• Mu Bai and Chen Qi took little Mu Fei in, then helped feed famine-stricken villagers, and later, Mu Bai discovered that Qing Mao's descendants were gambling and using Opium Paste supplied by Laughing Gold Pavilion.
• Mu Bai entered Laughing Gold Pavilion in disguise, defeated Shen Xiao, and destroyed the gambling den and Soul-Devouring Grounds, drawing Zhou Dechen's vow of revenge.
• Mu Bai joined Zhou Dechen's expedition into the Ancestral Dragon Forbidden Land, where he fought Jiang Shan and received the Ancestral Dragon Inner Core from Hai Chen, which entered his Dantian.
• Mu Bai left for Ximu City to search for Ling'er, established himself through trade and property purchases, and discovered a rich Soul Crystal vein in the Shuhuan Mountain Range.
• Madam Seven Emotions brought Ye Wan to stay with Chen Qi and Mu Fei, while Mu Bai secured an agreement with the Xishui and Zhimu tribes to excavate a passage through the mountains.
