Ch. 1Something was off about this Hogwarts world

Harry woke up in the body of his first-year self while being fitted for Hogwarts robes and realized he had been transported into the wizarding world with a mysterious [Spellbook] in his mind. He met a female Draco Malfoy, agreed with her opinions, and left without exchanging names, still trying to understand how strange this version of Hogwarts was.

  • Harry opened his eyes in Madam Malkin’s shop and recognized his scarred reflection as his first-year self.
  • Harry noticed Hagrid waiting at the shop entrance and resolved to follow him through the day’s errands.
  • A girl with platinum-blond hair introduced herself through her talk about Hogwarts, and Harry realized she was Miss Malfoy.
  • Miss Malfoy praised Slytherin and criticized Hufflepuff while Harry nodded along and decided not to make an enemy of her.
  • Miss Malfoy asked Harry’s surname, but Madam Malkin called him away before he could answer, and they parted without learning each other’s names.

Ch. 2[Spellbook]

After buying his wand and textbooks, Harry returned to Privet Drive and explored the mysterious [Spellbook] in his mind. He discovered its [Energy bar] was empty and opened the book, which contained only the equation “()+()=().”

  • Harry resolved to focus on studying magic, then noticed a counter on the [Spellbook] in his mind.
  • Harry obtained a holly-and-phoenix-feather wand from Ollivander's and bought his textbooks at Flourish and Blotts.
  • Hagrid brought Harry back to Privet Drive, where Harry ignored the Dursleys and went to his cupboard.
  • Harry examined the [Spellbook], found its [Energy bar] showed [0], and considered whether magic or learning spells could fill it.
  • Harry opened the [Spellbook] and found only the characters “()+()=().”

Ch. 3Addition? Addition was great!

Harry discovered that the [Spellbook] could combine spells into new ones, though he lacked the spells and [energy bars] needed to use his creations. He began experimenting with ways to obtain energy and resolved to prepare to face Quirrell, but his first attempt at controlling magic sent him to the toilet.

  • Harry wrote [Avada Kedavra] and [Whirlwind Sweep] into the [Spellbook], which synthesized them into [Killing Tornado] for 150 [energy bars].
  • Harry tried more combinations, including [Separation Charm] and [Summoning Charm], and found that they produced new spells with different energy costs.
  • Harry discovered that Hedwig could occupy a [Spellbook] synthesis slot, but he had no second item to combine with her.
  • Harry decided to use the [Spellbook] to build strength before facing Quirrell and wondered how to obtain [energy bars].
  • Harry tried to control his magic, strained, and left the storage cupboard to use the toilet.

Ch. 4Magic infusion and [Energy Bars]

Harry learned that directing his magic into the [Spellbook] generated [Energy Bars], then spent the remaining summer quietly studying and replenishing them at Privet Drive. On September first, he arrived at King's Cross Station with the Dursleys, ready to begin his journey to Hogwarts.

  • Harry sensed his magic and poured it into the [Spellbook], filling its energy bar without triggering the Trace on his wand.
  • Harry discovered that two-thirds of his magic had produced six [Energy Bars], and stopped replenishing the spellbook after reaching nine.
  • Harry decided against practicing wandless spells at home, then estimated that his magic would recover enough to produce nine [Energy Bars] each day.
  • Harry spent the rest of the summer quietly studying Hogwarts textbooks and adding nine [Energy Bars] to the [Spellbook] each afternoon.
  • Harry arrived at King's Cross Station with the Dursleys on the morning of September first.

Ch. 5Wanted to hold a grudge, but couldn't remember...

Harry entered Platform Nine and Three-Quarters without seeking help from the Weasleys, while Ron’s family boarded the Hogwarts Express. Ron eventually found Harry’s compartment and introduced herself, leaving Harry stunned by the unexpected change.

  • Harry decided he did not need to seek the Weasley family’s friendship and entered Platform Nine and Three-Quarters on his own.
  • Fred and George noticed Harry, while Molly prepared the Weasleys for their journey and took Dungbombs from the twins.
  • Ron followed Fred and George onto the train, forgot their pranks, and was left alone when they went to another compartment.
  • Ron searched through the train for an empty seat and reached Harry’s compartment.
  • Harry answered a girl’s request to enter and was shocked when she introduced herself as Ron Weasley.

Ch. 6The greedy Ron

Harry met Ron on the Hogwarts Express, where Ron excitedly recognized him and shared wizarding treats while becoming increasingly comfortable beside him. Hermione and Neville later arrived at the compartment, astonished to find Harry there.

  • Hermione and Neville were surprised that Harry and Ron acted like close friends despite having just met.
  • Harry studied Petrificus Totalus while Ron read a wizarding comic in their compartment.
  • Draco Malfoy entered Harry's compartment with Crabbe and Goyle and asked for the famous Potter.
  • Harry confirmed his identity by showing Draco his scar, and Draco recognized him from Madam Malkin's shop.
  • Draco introduced herself and began telling Harry that they were not the same sort of people as many other wizards.

Ch. 8That Damned Redheaded Weasel!

Harry tried to avoid being caught between Miss Malfoy and Ron, but Ron’s laughter drew Malfoy’s attention and sparked a confrontation. Harry separated them before they could fight, and Malfoy then urged him to reject Ron and other students she considered beneath her.

  • Ron laughed at Malfoy, prompting Malfoy to turn on her and mock her family and secondhand clothes.
  • Malfoy touched Ron’s hair and taunted her until Ron stood up, ready to fight.
  • Harry took hold of Ron and Malfoy’s shoulders and moved them apart as Crabbe and Goyle started forward.
  • Malfoy stopped Crabbe and Goyle, then told Harry that his father had warned him to avoid befriending idiots, Mudbloods, and the dregs of wizarding society.

Ch. 9Malfoy's Grievance

Harry tried to persuade Malfoy to accept friendships across Hogwarts houses, but she left after taking his words as an insult. He stayed with Ron, Hermione, and Neville and planned to continue studying Potions.

  • Harry shook Malfoy's hand and argued that students from every Hogwarts house could possess admirable qualities.
  • Harry told Malfoy that his mother was Muggle-born and that he did not discriminate against any wizard.
  • Malfoy rejected Harry's offer, pulled her hand away, and left the compartment with Crabbe and Goyle.
  • Ron criticized Malfoy and her family, but Harry asked him to stop and changed the subject.
  • Harry planned to resume reading his Potions textbook to prepare for Snape's lessons.

Ch. 10In such a bad mood

Draco overheard Harry criticize Snape and became upset, blaming Ron for poisoning Harry’s opinion of her and vowing to get back at him once school began. When the Hogwarts Express reached Hogwarts in the rain, Harry shielded Ron’s head with his sleeve as they crossed the Black Lake by boat.

  • Draco listened to Harry discuss Snape and felt insulted, though she took some comfort in Harry not simply joining Ron in condemning her.
  • Draco returned to her compartment, vowed to pester Harry at school, and decided she would rescue him from Ron despite her anger.
  • Harry and Ron arrived at Hogwarts in heavy rain and boarded a boat with the other students.
  • Harry covered Ron’s head with his sleeve to protect him from the rain as their boat crossed the Black Lake.

Ch. 11Across the Black Lake

Draco Malfoy struggled to board a boat in the rain, then ended up beside Harry Potter and Ron, who both crowded under Harry’s cloak as he shielded them. Malfoy caught Harry’s glasses when they slipped into the boat and kept them safe, while her resentment toward him and Ron resurfaced.

  • Draco Malfoy found Crabbe and Goyle’s boat full and hurried to claim an open seat in another boat.
  • Harry Potter held his robe over Malfoy and Ron to shield them from the rain and wind as the boat crossed the Black Lake.
  • Malfoy and Ron edged closer to Harry for warmth, leaving Harry unable to lower his aching arms.
  • Malfoy caught Harry’s taped glasses as they drifted toward her and hooked them onto her vest to keep them safe.
  • Malfoy remembered her earlier hurt and grievances, but the sight of Harry shielding her interrupted those thoughts.

Ch. 12Miss Malfoy couldn't possibly be wrong!

Malfoy regretted how she had treated Harry and planned to use gifts from her family to keep him close. After the boat reached shore, Harry discovered his glasses were missing, but Malfoy gave him the pair she had rescued.

  • Malfoy reflected on Harry's kindness and decided to ask her father to send him glasses and, eventually, replace his robes with Malfoy family clothes.
  • Harry reached shore stiff and cold after shielding Malfoy from the rain for more than half an hour, while Ron helped pull him from the boat.
  • Malfoy realized Harry had been supporting them throughout the voyage and hurried to help him, though she could not bring herself to apologize.
  • Harry noticed that his glasses had sunk with the boat, and Malfoy handed him the pair she had saved.
  • Harry put on Malfoy's glasses and found that the world looked unusually clear.

Ch. 13I do not!

Harry asked Malfoy if she liked him after she offered to replace his glasses, and she blushed, denied it, and fled to Crabbe and Goyle. Malfoy privately wondered whether she really liked Harry, while Ron teased them both.

  • Malfoy offered to buy Harry new glasses, and Harry asked if she liked him.
  • Malfoy blushed, insisted she was only thanking Harry, and hurried back to Crabbe and Goyle.
  • Malfoy stopped Crabbe and Goyle from confronting Harry and Ron, then struggled to understand her feelings for Harry.
  • Malfoy decided not to tell her father and secretly resolved to seek Harry out again.
  • Ron told Harry that Malfoy liked him and continued enjoying the drama.

Ch. 14Sorting Ceremony

Harry and Ron entered Hogwarts for the Sorting Ceremony, with Ron deliberately acting close to Harry to make Draco jealous. Draco followed them into the Great Hall, determined to win Harry over, as Professor McGonagall prepared to begin the ceremony.

  • Ron looped her arm through Harry's and teased Draco by clinging to him as they entered Hogwarts.
  • Draco grew angry and jealous, then imagined using her family's wealth and status to earn Harry's friendship.

  • Professor McGonagall placed the Sorting Hat on a stool as an old wizard welcomed the new school year.

Ch. 15Hopefully nothing goes wrong

Harry watched the Sorting Ceremony and took comfort as familiar Hogwarts students were placed in their expected houses. Draco Malfoy joined Slytherin after giving Harry a strangely clear, lingering look that left him uneasy.

  • Harry noticed that the Sorting Hat's singing sounded bizarre and saw that Draco Malfoy also seemed to disdain it.
  • Professor McGonagall began the Sorting Ceremony, and Hannah Abbott was sorted into Hufflepuff.

  • Crabbe and Goyle were sorted into Slytherin.
  • Draco Malfoy gave Harry a lingering look, then joined the Slytherin table, where older students welcomed her.

Ch. 16Just You Wait, Potter!

At the Sorting Ceremony, Slytherin Prefect Ailifen Mokes tried to welcome Malfoy, but she rebuffed him and left him embarrassed. Malfoy watched the remaining students with mixed hopes that Harry would join her, while the older Slytherins wrongly concluded that someone in the line had angered her and vowed to act on her behalf.

  • Ailifen Mokes approached Malfoy and offered to shake her hand, hoping to build a good relationship with her.
  • Malfoy ignored Ailifen, and Crabbe and Goyle stepped between them to keep him away from her.
  • Malfoy thought about Harry and hoped he would come over, then blamed Ailifen for distracting her with such thoughts.
  • Harry felt unexpectedly uncomfortable seeing Ailifen approach Malfoy, while Ailifen awkwardly withdrew his hand and returned to the Slytherin group.
  • The older Slytherins assumed someone among the students being sorted had angered Malfoy and decided to make that person pay.

Ch. 17A whole family of Gryffindors

  • Fred, George, and Percy noticed Ron's closeness with Harry and speculated about their relationship.
  • With Ron sorted, the ceremony moved on to Harry Potter.

Ch. 18An unexpected Sorting outcome

Harry Potter’s Sorting Hat deliberated over his many qualities before placing him in Ravenclaw, surprising the students and staff. Draco Malfoy was left disappointed that Harry had not joined Slytherin.

  • Professor McGonagall called Harry Potter to be sorted, and the Great Hall fell silent as everyone watched.
  • Draco Malfoy anxiously hoped Harry would join Slytherin and insisted he must not be sorted into Gryffindor.
  • The Sorting Hat considered Harry’s courage, ambition, kindness, loyalty, and extensive magical studies while Harry left the decision to it.
  • After deliberating for more than ten minutes and pausing dramatically, the Sorting Hat announced that Harry belonged in Ravenclaw.
  • The students and staff reacted with disbelief at Harry’s unexpected Sorting result.

Ch. 19S... Snape, A... Aunt?!

Harry was sorted into Ravenclaw, surprising Ron, Malfoy, Dumbledore, and Professor Snape. He was even more unsettled to discover Snape was a woman, while Snape softened toward him before sensing danger from the staff table.

  • Malfoy accepted Harry's Ravenclaw placement but worried she would have fewer chances to seek him out, while Ron remained unconcerned about their friendship.
  • Dumbledore wondered why Harry had not joined Gryffindor, and Professor Flitwick welcomed him to Ravenclaw.
  • Harry recognized the Hogwarts professors and was shocked to find that Professor Snape was a woman.
  • Harry smiled shyly at Snape, and she found him adorable because he resembled Lily.
  • Snape noticed that Harry's scar seemed to be hurting and fixed a dangerous gaze on someone at the staff table.

Ch. 20Professor Quirrell

Professor Snape suspected Professor Quirrell was connected to Voldemort after Harry’s scar hurt when Quirrell looked at him, and she resolved to watch him closely. At the feast, Harry drew the Ravenclaws’ attention while Draco Malfoy grew jealous and decided to seek her father’s help.

  • Professor Snape ruled out the Heads of House and Dumbledore as possible hosts for Voldemort, then focused her suspicions on Professor Quirrell.
  • Professor Snape told Dumbledore that Harry’s scar had hurt abnormally, and she decided to keep Quirrell under surveillance without confronting him.
  • Dumbledore began the feast with his familiar riddle, and Ron eagerly devoured the food.
  • Draco Malfoy watched Harry from the Slytherin table but grew annoyed when he chatted with the Ravenclaws instead of looking at her.
  • Draco Malfoy noticed Padma Patil speaking with Harry and decided to tell her father so she could keep other students away from him.
