"Lord Gojo, what kind of person exactly are we looking for?"

"Someone who calls himself a god."

"A self-proclaimed god? What a joke!" Sasuke scoffed.

Esdeath said, "He really doesn't know his place! What's his name?"

"Enel. That's his name."

"I'd love to see what this so-called god looks like when he's defeated!"

On God's Island, inside a palace built atop a giant vine

Enel, who was sitting cross-legged on a chair with his eyes closed, seemed to hear Satoru Gojo and the others talking. His eyes suddenly opened.

"You dare belittle the power of a god! Now face God's Judgment!"

Enel raised his right hand, and a thick pillar of lightning immediately formed above the temple.

With a wave of his hand, the lightning pillar shot straight toward Satoru Gojo's pirate ship.

"Hmm?"

Looking up at the lightning pillar hurtling toward them, Sasuke drew his Kusanagi Sword without a word and slashed at it.

A chakra-infused slash cleaved the lightning pillar in two.

The two halves of the lightning pillar landed on either side of the pirate ship, exploding the moment they touched the White Sea.

The powerful shock waves swept through everything nearby, rocking the pirate ship back and forth.

Sasuke stylishly sheathed his Kusanagi Sword and said disdainfully, "So that's a so-called god's attack? Nothing special!"

"They didn't die?"

Enel was somewhat surprised to sense his lightning pillar being split in two. This was the first time his lightning pillar had failed.

"But no matter. This god will come deliver judgment upon you in person!"

With that, he turned into a bolt of lightning and disappeared.

"Lowly mortals, are you the ones defying this god's authority?"

Enel emerged from the lightning and sat cross-legged in midair, his right hand propping up his right cheek, looking down at them as he asked with overbearing arrogance.

"Captain, is he the one you meant?" Sasuke asked, resting his hand on his sword sheath.

"Yes, that's him!"

Esdeath asked, "Can we kill him?"

"Capture him alive first. Kill him if he won't obey!"

"All right!"

"Accursed mortals! You dare ignore this god's presence! I'll make you all kneel and beg for mercy!"

No one paid any attention to his words, chatting among themselves instead. Feeling belittled once again, Enel roared in fury.

"Heh, he thinks he's something!" Sasuke scoffed.

"Yes, just like you!"

Sasuke: "..."

"Die, lowly mortals! El Thor!"

The instant his words fell, lightning flashed overhead amid peals of thunder, and a pillar of lightning far thicker than the last descended straight from the sky.

Sasuke drew his Kusanagi Sword and slashed upward. The powerful chakra sword wave split the lightning pillar in two once again.

"So you're the one who countered my El Thor earlier?"

Seeing his move stopped, Enel pointed at Sasuke and asked.

"I hate looking up at people, and I hate having fingers pointed at my head even more!"

"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!"

Sasuke completed his hand signs in an instant and spat a searing fireball at Enel.

"Heh!"

Enel sneered. Without dodging, he took the fireball's attack head-on.

The fireball exploded in front of Enel, its scorching flames instantly filling the air with heat.

A moment later, the flames dispersed, and Enel emerged completely unharmed, laughing wildly.

"Hahaha! Lowly mortals could never hurt this god!"

"Ordinary attacks can't hurt someone who can turn into an element. Use the Armament Haki I taught you!"

Satoru Gojo offered a reminder.

After mastering all Three Types of Haki, Satoru Gojo had taught Armament Haki and Observation Haki to Sasuke and Esdeath.

As for Conqueror's Haki, it wasn't that he wouldn't teach them, but that they had to awaken it themselves.

"Understood!"

"Summoning Jutsu: Ninja Hawk!"

Sasuke jumped onto the Ninja Hawk's back and flew up to face Enel.

Sasuke unleashed an Armament Haki-infused slash.

Across from him, Enel's expression was no longer calm.

Although he didn't know what this so-called Armament Haki was, he inexplicably sensed a threat from the slash. It seemed capable of killing him.

Enel immediately raised his Golden Staff and struck the drums on his back hard.

With Enel's shout, a giant bird formed entirely of lightning charged at Sasuke.

Sasuke's slash collided with the enormous Thunder Bird.

An explosion erupted in an instant, terrifying shock waves spreading from its center.

Using the Rumble-Rumble Fruit's incredible movement speed, Enel appeared behind Sasuke the moment the explosion occurred and taunted him.

"Lowly mortal, can you keep up with this god's speed?"

"Discharge: Max Two Hundred Million Volts!"

Enel shouted, and lightning powerful enough to destroy everything burst forth in an instant, blasting straight toward Sasuke's back.

"Susanoo!"

A skeleton surrounded Sasuke and the Ninja Hawk, keeping them unharmed despite the lightning bombarding them.

"Before these eyes of mine, no speed is fast enough to escape detection!"

Sasuke turned back, revealing his Rinnegan and Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan to Enel.

"How is that possible?" Enel couldn't believe it.

"Ice Pillar!"

Esdeath jumped from the pirate ship onto the White Sea. With a low cry, she summoned an ice pillar that carried her straight up behind Enel.

Her long leg, coated in Armament Haki, lashed toward Enel's head.

"Don't leave your back exposed to an enemy in battle, foolish god!"

Bam!

The Armament Haki rendered Enel's elemental transformation ineffective, and he was sent flying by the kick.

"Esdeath, he's my prey! Stay out of this!"

Sasuke was somewhat displeased to see Esdeath kick his prey away.

"Hunting isn't first come, first served!"

"You..."

"Damn you! You dare injure a god!"

After being kicked away, Enel steadied himself in midair and roared furiously.

"I'll kill you all!"

"Two Hundred Million Volts: Amaru!"

Enel repeatedly struck the drums on his body with his Golden Staff, stimulating the release of the lightning within him.

The released lightning coiled around Enel. Once it reached a certain quantity, he transformed into a gigantic thunder god, swinging down an enormous hand that blotted out the sky.

This was Enel's strongest move.

He would wipe out every mortal who challenged a god's majesty!

"Ice Pillar!"

Esdeath stamped her long leg down, and another ice pillar shot out of the original one to meet Enel in his thunder god form.

"Amaterasu!"

"Blaze Release: Kagutsuchi!"

Not to be outdone, Sasuke shaped the Amaterasu flames into an arrow and fired it.

In the blink of an eye, the three attacks collided.

The next moment, a dazzling burst of light made the already clear sky shine even brighter.

Then a deafening boom rang out, reverberating through heaven and earth.

As the light faded, Enel reverted from his thunder god form.

But now he didn't dare move recklessly.

His feet had been frozen solid, and a Kusanagi Sword coated in Armament Haki was pressed against his neck.

Seeing that Enel had been subdued, Satoru Gojo teleported in front of him.

"Enel, join my pirate crew!"

"You want this god to join you? Absolutely not!"

"Ah, you won't join? Kill him, then!"

Sasuke said, "Just what I wanted!"

Esdeath said, "Before we kill him, let me give him a thorough training!"

"Wait! Wait! I'll join! I'll join! Whatever you need from now on, just give the word. This god will do it!"

The moment Enel heard they were going to kill him, he immediately backed down.

What did a god's majesty matter in the face of death?

"Good. From now on, you're a member of the Jujutsu Pirates."

"But if you betray us, you should know the consequences!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Satoru Gojo unleashed his top-level Conqueror's Haki, striking fear into Enel's heart.

It felt as though a mountain were pressing down on his back, leaving Enel unable to breathe.
