"Enel, where's your Ark Maxim?"
Satoru Gojo asked.
"The Ark Maxim! How do you know about it?"
They had clearly only just arrived on Sky Island, yet they knew about the Ark Maxim's existence. Enel was astonished.
"I have my ways of knowing. Since you've joined the Jujutsu Pirates, your Ark Maxim is now our pirate ship!"
"Huh? That's this god's Ark Maxim! What gives you the right..."
"What? Do you have a problem with that?"
Before Enel could finish, Esdeath shot him a piercing look, and her rapier, coated in Armament Haki, was already resting against his neck.
"Why would this god have a problem with it? This god is a member of the Jujutsu Pirates too! What belongs to this god belongs to everyone! Take it! Take it!"
Feeling the biting chill radiating from the rapier, Enel had no desire to test how sharp it was and immediately backed down.
"Then take us to this Ark Maxim or whatever! Stop dragging your feet!"
Sasuke said impatiently.
A short while later.
"So this is the Ark Maxim? It's magnificent!"
Inside the valley, Koratt looked up at the enormous golden ship and couldn't help exclaiming in wonder.
"Hahaha! This is this god's Ark Maxim! Now you understand this god's greatness, you lowly mortal!"
Hearing Koratt's exclamation, Enel was very pleased. This was how a mortal ought to react upon witnessing a miracle!
Before them stood an enormous ship, even larger than their current pirate ship.
Unlike most pirate ships, however, it had over a dozen oars extending from its interior on either side, presumably for rowing.
There were also several propellers on each side of the hull. The horizontally mounted propellers resembled the helicopters Satoru Gojo had seen in his previous life and could lift this enormous ship into the air.
The ability to fly was the Ark Maxim's greatest advantage.
As far as Satoru Gojo knew, only a handful of things in this world could fly, the most famous among them being Golden Lion Shiki's Flying Pirates.
Taking the Ark Maxim to the Grand Line would give them an enormous advantage against both pirates and the navy.
Of course, this wasn't what Satoru Gojo valued most. He could take or leave that advantage.
The main reason he wanted the Ark Maxim as the Jujutsu Pirates' flagship was that becoming an Emperor of the Sea required a decent ship, and the Ark Maxim was quite suitable.
With a stamp of his foot, Satoru Gojo activated Teleportation and appeared directly on the Ark Maxim's deck.
Esdeath, Sasuke, and Enel followed closely behind him.
Once there, Satoru Gojo marveled at Enel's extravagance.
At a glance, the entire Ark Maxim appeared to have been built from pure gold, glittering in the light.
"From now on, this ship belongs to the Jujutsu Pirates. No objections, right, Enel?"
Satoru Gojo asked Enel again.
"Hmph. If the pirate crew this god joins doesn't have an imposing ship, it would be far too embarrassing for this god. You can have the Ark Maxim."
Although he was very reluctant, Enel remembered the beating he had just taken and agreed anyway.
"Good. You won't regret today's decision!"
Satoru Gojo continued, "Oh, right. There's one more thing I wanted to ask you."
Satoru Gojo hadn't forgotten his purpose in coming to Sky Island. Aside from recruiting Enel and taking the Ark Maxim, the gold hidden on Sky Island was his primary objective.
The gold Enel had used to build the Ark Maxim was only a portion of it. There should still be plenty buried on this island, and since he was here, of course he would take it.
"What is it?"
"There should still be plenty of gold on this island, right? Aside from what you used to build the Ark Maxim, there should be a lot more."
Satoru Gojo asked.
"That's right. Apart from what was used to build the Ark Maxim, this god gathered most of the rest in the temple."
Enel replied.
"Then let's take a look at your temple."
Satoru Gojo turned toward Koratt and the others, who were still below the Ark Maxim, and said, "Koratt, bring your men aboard."
"Yes, Lord Gojo!"
A little while later, everyone had boarded the Ark Maxim.
At this point, Koratt's men were running around the Ark Maxim in excitement as though they had gone mad.
What was the Ark Maxim made of? Gold! A universally recognized currency in this world.
As pirates, Koratt's men had never seen so much gold, let alone an enormous ship built from it!
Everyone was beside themselves with excitement, feeling as though they were dreaming. Some even bit it to check whether it was real gold.
"Lord Gojo, is this going to be the Jujutsu Pirates' ship from now on?"
Koratt swallowed and asked Satoru Gojo.
"Of course. Besides, there's more gold for us to collect."
"There's more!?"
With all the gold in the Ark Maxim, there was even more than this?
Koratt felt dizzy. In all his years as a pirate, he had never seen so much gold!
Thank goodness he had come up to Sky Island with Lord Gojo back then!
"Enel, let's go. Take us to your temple!"
Perhaps it was the butterfly effect, but unlike in the original story, where the Ark Maxim still needed a long time to be completed, it was already operational.
"All right."
Enel sat down at the controls. Lightning flashed, spreading from his palm into the starting mechanism.
Before long, the machinery began to roar, and the propellers above the Ark Maxim began to turn.
Once the Ark Maxim had slowly risen to altitude, Enel steered it toward the temple.
A little while later, the ark arrived at the temple.
"That is this god's temple. The gold is inside."
Enel pointed at the temple and spoke with some pride.
"Koratt, take your men and move all the gold onto the Ark Maxim!"
"Yes, Lord Gojo!"
After answering, Koratt eagerly led his men into the temple and began looting it.
At first, the Four Priests guarding the temple came to stop them.
Satoru Gojo had Enel step in and make them join the group carrying the gold.
Watching the gold being carried endlessly from the temple to the ark, Enel felt a pang of heartache. That's all this god's gold!
After several hours of hauling, all the gold in the temple had finally been moved onto the ark.
Looking at the hold packed full of gold, Satoru Gojo quietly opened the system and spent one thousand Beli to have it appraised.
According to the system's appraisal, the gold was worth over five billion Beli. Combined with the several hundred million Beli he had previously plundered from pirates at sea, it was enough for Satoru Gojo to greatly expand his forces.
"Enel, from now on, Sky Island is Jujutsu Pirates territory. Once you leave with us, have your priests manage it in your place!"
Satoru Gojo said to the still-dejected Enel.
"And fly the Jujutsu Pirates' flag over Sky Island!"
"Understood. This god will make the arrangements!"
Enel answered listlessly.
Enel was very efficient. Before long, everyone on Sky Island knew that God Enel had been defeated.
Sky Island now belonged to the Jujutsu Pirates.
Furthermore, Sky Island would no longer be subjected to tyranny and would receive the Jujutsu Pirates' protection.
"This is wonderful! God has been defeated!"
"No more tyranny at last!"
"But what are the Jujutsu Pirates?"
"No idea. Anyway, they're really powerful!"
When the people of Sky Island heard the announcement from the priests, a flurry of discussion broke out.
