"Captain, is the Power Room all right?" Ryan asked.
"It's fine. Kuina and Carrot have already taken care of it," Lorne said calmly.
Ryan took the black document envelope from inside his clothes and handed it to Lorne. "Captain, we found this in a hidden compartment in the underground archive. These are records of transactions between the World Government, the Underworld, and Tesoro of Gold City."
Lorne took the documents and quickly scanned them. His brow gradually furrowed, and a trace of icy killing intent flashed in his eyes.
"Gild Tesoro... the Golden Emperor?" Lorne closed the documents with a cold laugh. "Half the funding for the World Government's Seraphim experiments on Titan Island came from Tesoro through Gold City. And Tesoro sent those assassins too, hoping to destroy Titan Island completely and erase all the evidence before the World Government could react."
"This Tesoro has some nerve," Ryan said gravely. "He controls twenty percent of the world's Beli. Even the World Government has to show him some respect. If we move against him, I'm afraid the entire Underworld will retaliate."
"The Underworld will retaliate?" Lorne raised an eyebrow, his voice brimming with arrogance and confidence. "What does the Underworld amount to against my fists? Since he dared reach into my Fearless Fortress, he'd better be ready for me to smash that hand."
"Captain, what are you planning to do?" Kuina stepped forward, tightening her grip on her sword's hilt. "Do you need us to come with you?"
"No. Stay at the fortress." Lorne shook his head, looking at Kuina and Ryan. "The fortress was only just established, and its defenses aren't complete yet. Ryan, keep repairing the defensive installations and smelt all the Seastone Alloy into the breakwater. Kuina, lead the patrols and make sure no more rats sneak
