Chapters 101–112 Vol. 2 Read

Ch. 101Twin Stars

Sukuna expanded Malevolent Shrine to shred Madara Uchiha’s first meteor, but Madara summoned a larger second meteor while protecting himself from the domain with a Wood Clone’s Simple Domain. As the slashes clashed with both meteors, Madara powered up Susanoo to its complete form, preparing to end the fight.

  • Sukuna expanded Malevolent Shrine and used its boosted slashes to break apart the first meteor.
  • Madara revealed a second, larger meteor descending from above the clouds.
  • Sukuna increased Malevolent Shrine’s range and power to attack both meteors and tried to draw Madara into the domain.
  • Madara’s Wood Clone cast Simple Domain around Madara, shielding him from Malevolent Shrine’s sure-hit slashes.
  • Madara unleashed far more cursed energy into Susanoo and transformed it into its complete form.

Ch. 102The power of a god

Madara formed his Perfect Susanoo and prepared a decisive strike against Sukuna, whose domain and efforts to stop the meteor had begun to weaken him. Faced with the looming attack, Sukuna revealed his original form, and the final showdown was about to begin.

  • Madara's Susanoo transformed into a towering, fully armored Perfect Susanoo, stunning the sorcerers watching from the safe zone.
  • Madara's clone dispersed, while the Perfect Susanoo's armor deflected the slashes from Sukuna's Malevolent Shrine.
  • Madara saw Sukuna weakening as he used his domain and slashes to fight the second meteor, then raised the Susanoo's enormous katana for a decisive strike.
  • Sukuna sensed the lethal attack, roared Madara's name, and transformed Yuji Itadori's body to reveal his original four-eyed, four-armed form.
  • Madara's Perfect Susanoo held its blade poised above Sukuna as the final showdown began.

Ch. 103Come on

Madara’s world-cleaving Susanoo slash drove Sukuna to unleash Malevolent Shrine and Reverse Cursed Technique in a desperate effort to survive. Their attacks collided with the falling meteor, destroying the battlefield barrier and leaving the outcome unknown.

  • Madara regarded his descending slash as both a killing blow and a trial meant to push Sukuna beyond his limits.
  • Sukuna recognized Madara as a monster beyond the strongest sorcerers of the era and resolved to fight with everything he had.
  • Sukuna expanded Malevolent Shrine’s slashes into a storm to resist Madara’s slash and meteor while forming rotating barriers around himself.
  • Sukuna used Reverse Cursed Technique to repair his battered body and maintain his combat ability under pressure.
  • Madara’s slash and the meteor collided with Sukuna’s defenses, unleashing a blast that shattered the battlefield barrier and shook the surrounding mountains.

Ch. 104Worth it

Madara Uchiha defeated Sukuna’s domain and left him gravely wounded with his Cursed Technique burned out. Madara dismissed his Susanoo and challenged Sukuna to a final hand-to-hand fight, seeking a breakthrough at the edge of life and death.

  • Sukuna stood amid the ruined battlefield, mortally wounded, nearly out of Cursed Energy, and unable to use his core Cursed Techniques.
  • Madara emerged from his dissipating Perfect Susanoo unharmed and approached Sukuna.
  • Madara dismissed the Susanoo, assumed a Taijutsu stance, and invited Sukuna to fight with their bare hands.
  • Sukuna suspected Madara was insulting him, but recognized no contempt in Madara’s gaze and accepted the challenge.
  • Madara pursued the close-range duel as a chance to reach a higher level of strength through a life-and-death battle.

Ch. 105Black Flash

As Madara overwhelmed Sukuna in hand-to-hand combat, Sukuna found the fighting spirit to break through and land a Black Flash. Madara welcomed Sukuna’s growing strength and prepared to continue the fight.

  • Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and the others wondered why Madara had abandoned his advantages, and Yuta Okkotsu guessed he was protecting Itadori’s soul.
  • Madara’s relentless taijutsu left Sukuna badly wounded and struggling to keep pace.
  • Sukuna realized that facing a powerful opponent had awakened a passion for combat he had never felt before.
  • Sukuna entered a state of intense focus and landed a Black Flash that tore into Madara’s arm.
  • As Madara’s wound healed, Sukuna felt his cursed energy and strength rise, and Madara told him to get stronger.

Ch. 106Domain of Gods and Demons

Madara’s controlled Black Flash nearly kills Sukuna, but Sukuna keeps fighting and uses their brutal exchange to overcome his cursed technique burnout. Sukuna and Madara then unleash their domains against each other, leaving their ultimate clash about to begin.

  • Madara struck Sukuna with a controlled Black Flash that destroyed much of his right side and left him near death.
  • Sukuna healed with Reverse Cursed Technique, rose again, and challenged Madara to continue fighting.
  • Madara and Sukuna exchanged nearly a hundred Black Flash attacks, devastating the ruins as Sukuna’s strength and cursed energy control improved.
  • Sukuna ended his cursed technique burnout early and expanded his strengthened Malevolent Shrine.
  • Madara answered with Domain Expansion: Heavenly Imperial Pillars, and the two domains collided.

Ch. 107A true domain

Sukuna tried to understand Madara Uchiha’s domain and suffered severe backlash when his attempt to reconstruct Malevolent Shrine failed. After Madara explained how to end Cursed Technique Burnout, Sukuna recovered and opened an evolved domain, beginning their true battle.

  • Sukuna used Hollow Wicker Basket to hold back Madara’s domain while attempting to rebuild Malevolent Shrine according to Madara’s method.
  • Sukuna forced Malevolent Shrine open, but it cracked apart and left him badly wounded when Madara declared the attempt wrong.
  • Madara spared Sukuna and suggested destroying his overloaded brain and using Reverse Cursed Technique to make a new one.
  • Sukuna followed Madara’s advice to end Cursed Technique Burnout and expanded Malevolent Shrine again, creating a balance between dark red and pure white at the domain’s boundary.

Ch. 108The Inevitable End

Madara Uchiha overwhelmed Sukuna in their clash of domains, erasing Malevolent Shrine and suppressing Sukuna’s power within Heavenly Imperial Pillars. With Sukuna no longer resisting, Madara walked toward him to deliver the final judgment.

  • Sukuna’s slashes ravaged Heavenly Imperial Pillars but could not overcome Madara Uchiha’s world, and the damage to its pillars quickly healed.
  • Sukuna realized that his domain was only a small foothold in Madara’s world and accepted that he had lost.
  • Madara pointed toward Malevolent Shrine, and the shrine rapidly receded and vanished beneath the pure-white light.
  • Sukuna found his body cracked and his Cursed Energy and Cursed Technique suppressed within the white world.
  • Sukuna closed his eyes and gave up resisting as Madara walked toward him.

Ch. 109A shocking turn

Madara defeated Sukuna and summoned Angel to purify him, but Sukuna used his final moments to establish a binding vow and unleash one last attack. As the safe zone watched, Madara was suddenly sliced in half, leaving everyone stunned and uncertain who had won.

  • Madara told the defeated Sukuna he was disappointed, then summoned Angel with Impure World Reincarnation and ordered her to purify him carefully.
  • Angel used Jacob's Ladder on Sukuna, whose body and cursed energy began to disintegrate as he silently endured the purification.
  • Sukuna formed a binding vow that restricted his future use of Dismantle and Cleave in exchange for one strike at 120 percent output, then launched Maximum Technique: Hollow Sky at Madara.
  • The sorcerers in the safe zone believed Madara had won, but Maki and Panda sensed something unsettling about his calm expression.
  • As Angel continued purifying Sukuna, Madara was suddenly cut cleanly in half, leaving the safe zone in shock.

Ch. 110The eternal curse

Madara confronted Deity in the White Between and condemned him for treating mortal lives as entertainment. Deity responded by deciding to make Madara experience eternity.

  • Madara encountered Deity, who admitted that he watched countless lives for amusement and found Madara's story mostly boring.
  • Madara's killing intent rose, but Deity claimed Madara had lost his power and could not harm him, even as he noticed Madara's left eye had gone blind at the boundary between life and death.
  • Madara asked why Deity toyed with lives, and Deity explained that his infinite existence left him bored and that mortal suffering was merely entertainment to him.
  • Madara denounced Deity as a coward who wasted infinity by watching life instead of experiencing it.
  • Deity calmly told Madara that he would now experience what it meant to feel eternity.

Ch. 111Godslaying

Madara killed Deity in the White Between, but Deity marked him with a curse promising they would meet again in ten thousand years. Madara returned to the battlefield through Izanagi and watched Sukuna disappear, leaving him to mourn the defeated King of Curses.

  • Madara struck Deity with gray-white light, erasing him from the White Between.
  • As Deity vanished, he touched Madara's chest and spoke of meeting again in ten thousand years, leaving him with an eternal mark or curse.
  • Madara returned to the battlefield after using Izanagi to rewrite his death, permanently losing sight in his left eye.
  • Madara saw Sukuna's body vanish as the effects of the backlash brought the King of Curses to his end.
  • Madara quietly bid farewell to Sukuna and said he would never forget him.

Ch. 112The end

After Sukuna was purified, Madara treated the exhausted Itadori and reunited with Gojo and the other sorcerers, who learned Madara had lost his left eye. Asked how he felt after the battle, Madara admitted he was tired, while Gojo promised to handle what came next.

  • Angel thanked Madara for helping purify the Fallen, then returned to her coffin and disappeared underground.
  • Madara used Reverse Cursed Technique to stabilize Itadori, who had survived Sukuna's purification but was unconscious.
  • Gojo and the other sorcerers arrived, relieved to find Madara unharmed and Itadori breathing steadily.
  • Madara told Megumi that Sukuna had been completely exorcised and confirmed to Nobara that his left eye was blind.
  • Yuta thanked Madara, and Todo called for a celebration as the group celebrated their survival.
  • Gojo asked Madara how he was feeling, and Madara said he was tired before Gojo offered to take care of what came next.
