Clark sat on the life-support apparatus in the center of the console, looking around at the freshly restored surroundings, and could not help breathing a sigh of relief.
"Whew... you really cleaned this place up." He spoke to the Kryptonian robot butler beside him, who was performing the final checks on his arm.
"I thought it would take months to fix."
Robot Butler Four stopped what it was doing and looked at Clark.
"You've patched yourself up nicely, too." Clark looked at the repairs on the robot's body: several metal patches of slightly different colors and a few scratches that had not yet been completely polished away.
He smiled. "Looks... pretty distinctive."
Four's single eye seemed to widen a little.
"Really, sir?"
Clark smiled and nodded. "Really."
Four raised its mechanical arm and somewhat clumsily touched the marks the repairs had left on its casing.
As if suddenly remembering something, Four lowered its arm and turned its single eye toward Clark.
"Sir, could you give me a name?"
At this, Clark's brows furrowed slightly, and he looked a little embarrassed.
A name? That's what I'm worst at.
