Liumu exposed Danzo’s crimes, took command of Root, and prepared Konoha for an impending disaster. When the Masked Man attacked and the Nine-Tails rampaged, Liumu saved the village, while Minato and Naruto became its two Jinchūriki.

• Liumu confronted Orochimaru and Danzo, helped Fugaku defeat Danzo, and later revealed Danzo’s stolen Sharingan and Hashirama cells to Minato.
• Liumu found Anko imprisoned at Otogakure, removed her cursed seal, and escaped with her after freeing the children who chose to remain with Orochimaru.
• Liumu took command of Root and reorganized it, while Minato prepared for Kushina’s imminent childbirth and Jiraiya reported on the Land of Crafts’ chakra-absorbing tools.
• Liumu recognized a Root report as a warning of danger and attacked the Three-Tails Jinchūriki, only to discover that the beast was bait for an assault on Konoha.
• The Masked Man extracted the Nine-Tails from Kushina, and Han rescued Kushina and newborn Naruto as Minato and Konoha’s fighters faced the rampaging beast.
• Liumu canceled Minato’s Reaper Death Seal, knocked the Nine-Tails unconscious, and fought the Masked Man, who escaped through a space-time distortion.
• Kushina and Minato divided the Nine-Tails’ chakra between Minato and Naruto, and Liumu returned to directing Root and the ANBU as Kakashi delivered intelligence from the Land of Rain.

Liumu married Han, confronted threats to Konoha, and raised their daughter Muhan while monitoring Akatsuki and the village’s young ninjas. After gaining the Poseidon template and taming Huodou, he agreed to guard Minato as he reinforced the Three-Tails’ seal.

• Liumu arranged Itachi’s early graduation, tested him, and warned him and Fugaku about the Uchiha’s isolation and reliance on their eyes.
• Liumu took Han on a journey, proposed to her in the Land of Water, and returned to Konoha three years later with Han pregnant.
• After learning the Uchiha were considering rebellion, Liumu showed Fugaku’s clan the consequences through genjutsu and warned them that the stone tablet had been altered.
• Liumu stopped Kumogakure ninja from abducting Hinata and threatened their delegation at the peace talks.
• Han gave birth to Muhan, whose Ice Release and unusual powers Liumu and Han kept secret, while Liumu confronted Nagato over Akatsuki’s plans to target jinchūriki.
• Liumu monitored Naruto’s weakening seal, supported Muhan’s schooling, and helped the Uchiha consider using genjutsu to awaken their Sharingan.
• After Naruto graduated, Liumu received the Poseidon template, subdued Huodou, and named the beast Erha.
• Minato asked Liumu to guard him while he reinforced the Three-Tails’ weakening seal, and Liumu suggested finding it a jinchūriki.

Liumu guided Rin through becoming the Three-Tails’ jinchūriki, helped awaken the Uchiha children’s Sharingan, and confronted the Masked Man’s forces alongside his summoned beasts. After capturing Madara and Black Zetsu and helping Might Guy and Might Duy survive, Liumu returned to village life as Naruto proposed combining Nine-Tails Mode with Sasuke’s Susanoo.

• Liumu arranged for Minato to seal the Three-Tails inside Rin, then helped stop Mizuki after he stole the Scroll of Seals and later taught Naruto the Multi Shadow Clone Technique.
• Liumu used genjutsu to awaken the Uchiha children’s Sharingan, while Obito awakened his Mangekyo and Susanoo after experiencing a vision of Rin’s death.
• Liumu challenged Hyuga Hiashi to recognize Neji’s talent and reform the clan’s restrictions on the Branch Family.
• After Naruto’s Nine-Tails chakra overwhelmed him, Muhan and the allied forces subdued Kurama, and Liumu assembled the Tailed Beast Squad to fight the Masked Man and Black Zetsu.
