Kakashi, Asuma, and Kurenai confronted them, and the chapter ended as Itachi used Tsukuyomi against Kakashi’s Lightning Blade charge.

• An Anbu messenger reported that two red-cloud-cloaked intruders had defeated the village guards, and Mitokado Homura ordered the defenders to alert Jiraiya and retreat.
