Dian Wei swept his left halberd sideways, the wind from its shaft scattering every spark. But at the very moment the sparks scattered, Saint Killingham's second arrow had already reached Dian Wei's side from another angle. It was aimed not at Dian Wei himself, but at the ground beneath his feet. The arrow sank into the ground, and flames erupted from the hole, rapidly spreading across the ground into an ever-expanding sea of nightmare fire. Countless small nightmare monsters were taking shape within it-miniature nightmares formed from dream fragments ignited by the flames, numerous enough to drown any powerful fighter in a sea of nightmares.

Saint Killingham coated his trident with the flames from his fiery bow and arrows, then touched its tip to the ground. A ring of fiery shockwaves swept outward, cracking every inch of ground in its path. Flames erupted from the fissures, setting the entire stretch of ruins ablaze in a roiling sea of black fire.
Dian Wei stamped his right foot down hard. Zamazenta Power surged from the sole of his foot into the earth, hardening the ground beneath him into an enormous shield. A blue-black metallic sheen appeared on its surface, keeping the sea of nightmare fire outside. Flames churned and roared around the shield's edges, but could not advance even half a step beyond it.
But the nightmare monsters' attacks no longer came only from the ground. Overhead, behind him, to either side-over a hundred nightmare monsters of different types appeared around Dian Wei at once. The Nightmare Legion consisted of monsters Saint Killingham continuously summoned from the floating clouds after his Awakening. They lunged at Dian Wei from every direction at once, surrounding him and biting at him madly.
