Arc 32The Return of Voldemort
Douglas and his allies used Harry’s apparent absence to lure Barty Crouch Jr. into a trap and secure the real Moody. Meanwhile, Douglas confronted Voldemort at his resurrection, exposed the weakness in his control, and prepared for a duel as Voldemort’s magic faltered.
- Harry worked on essays in London while Bill explained Douglas’s methods and how Harry’s absence helped protect him and the operation.
- Sirius and Dumbledore opened the World Magic Expo alongside the Triwizard Tournament’s final task, while disguised Harry and Bill put their plan into motion.
- Moody led Harry toward the Forbidden Forest and gave him a flask, but a red alarm revealed the danger and Dobby helped Harry return to the tournament.
- Barty Crouch Jr. discovered Harry had not been taken by the Portkey, and Bill trapped him in the Demon-Suppression Tower, where he lost his disguises and was imprisoned.
- Bill rescued the real Moody from Barty’s trunk, and Moody rejoined Dumbledore at the tournament as the Champions entered the Maze.
- Wormtail brought the captured Douglas before Voldemort, who used his father’s bone, Wormtail’s flesh, and Douglas’s blood to resurrect himself and summon his Death Eaters.
- Douglas resisted Voldemort’s attempt to force him to bow, and the blood-linked magic made Voldemort bow to Harry before Douglas’s true identity was revealed.
- Douglas questioned Voldemort about the resurrection potion, mocked his appearance, and read his life and followers as signs of weakness before dodging Voldemort’s wandless Cruciatus Curse and raising both wands.
