Does No One Care About Poor Mr. Malfoy?
As far as Professor Flitwick was concerned, it didn't matter who the decision-making power was given to, as long as it wasn't handed over to Snape.
Although Professor McGonagall was known for her strictness, unlike Snape, she was still quite fair. It was good for Bell to suffer a bit; that way, he would realize his mistakes.
As for Snape, he now seriously suspected that Dumbledore become senile.
So it was clearly a fight between Slytherin and Ravenclaw students, what does it have to do with her, the Headmistress of Gryffindor?!
Dumbledore can't just attribute all the good things to Gryffindor because he was born into the Gryffindor.
If McGonagall had just gritted her teeth and made a decisive move, wouldn't this year's House Cup have been Gryffindor's?
"After all, this involves both of your houses, so it's not good for either of you to handle it. But if you both decide together, I'm afraid it might affect your friendship. So I've decided to leave it to Minerva. Not only is Minerva the Head of Gryffindor, but she's also the Vice-Headmaster of Hogwarts, so I think she's the most suitable person to handle it."
Dumbledore explained with a smile.
"What kind of friendship do I have with him?!" *2
Flitwick and Snape both thought to themselves.
As the saying goes, "A higher-ranking official can crush you." Dumbledore is the headmaster, the highest-ranking person here, so no matter how unwilling Snape was, he couldn't change the reality.
Professor McGonagall walked up to Bell and stared at Bell face with a serious expression.
"Mr. Menethil, given the very negative impact of your actions, I have decided to deduct 50 points from your Ravenclaw House Points. Do you have anything to say?"
"I have nothing to say about the points deduction."
Bell waved his hand dismissively. Since Dumbledore had already decided that the House Cup would go to Gryffindor, what difference did it make whether he came in second or third?
As for the fourth?
Don't be ridiculous, that's Hufflepuff's exclusive ranking system. Who's so fearless as to dare steal the honey badger's spot? Aren't they afraid the Little Badgers will go berserk and bite?
"However, professors, are you sure you don't want to send Mr. Malfoy to the Hospital Wing for treatment first? He won't die sooner or later, but he'll definitely suffer more. Although I don't really care."
"..."* N
Faced with the students' gazes, the professors all looked somewhat embarrassed.
The situation was so complex that they couldn't handle so many things at once. Furthermore, Malfoy was so inconspicuous lying there that they inadvertently forgot about the seriously wounded soldier.
This incident shows just how pitiful the Slytherin snakes are in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry today.
It's one thing for other professors to dislike them, but the real problem is that their own dean has the same personality. They have nowhere to turn to for help!
Professor McGonagall quickly stepped past Bell and went to Malfoy's side. She knelt down and pressed her Wand against Malfoy.
"A comminuted fracture of the sternum, and various bruises of varying degrees throughout the body. Fortunately, they are all simple physical impact injuries, which can be Quick Healing with Curses and Potions. If I hand them over to Madam Pomfrey, I should be fine after a good night's sleep tomorrow morning."
Professor McGonagall breathed a sigh of relief. There were no injuries that would leave any lasting effects, and it seemed the school wouldn't be in trouble.
As for whether it will leave a psychological scar?
Haha, she's the head of Gryffindor. For psychological counseling, please go see Headmaster Snape of Slytherin.
However, I believe that anyone with a modicum of common sense would not want to discuss any psychological issues with Snape upon seeing his gloomy face.
Menethil was really ruthless! Even in Quidditch Match, injuries of this severity are very rare.
Malfoy, who had been lying on the ground, breathed a long sigh of relief after hearing Professor McGonagall's words.
Good heavens, Malfoy was lying there listening to the professors' conversation. So much time had passed, the ground was practically warm from his presence! But no one came to check on him!
Finally, it was Menethil who mentioned him, and Professor McGonagall came to check on his injuries. Malfoy didn't know whether he should thank that wretched Menethil. Otherwise, he might have had to lie there all night?
Upon hearing that he wouldn't die, Malfoy finally breathed a sigh of relief and promptly fell into a coma.
"If it's Mr. Malfoy, then we'll deduct 20 points."
Professor McGonagall felt her face burning. In all her decades of teaching, this was the first time the old professor had felt so embarrassed.
Professor McGonagall had originally planned to deduct 50 points from Malfoy, just like Menethil did. But now, she simply couldn't bring herself to deduct that many points!
"Given Mr. Malfoy's injuries, his confinement is lifted. As for you, Mr. Menethil, I will inform you of your confinement punishment later via owl. Now put away your Wand!"
Professor McGonagall stared intently at Bell. It was all this guy's fault; he almost ruined her reputation in her later years!
Bell shrugged and put the Wand he had been holding back into his sleeve.
Bell didn't take the confinement seriously at all.
There's no way around it; we have the ability, and that's how confident we are.
Snape was also satisfied with Professor McGonagall's punishment.
Slytherin House only lost 20 points, yet they still firmly hold the top spot in House Points and have widened the gap with second-place Ravenclaw. Compared to that, Malfoy's minor mistreatment is utterly insignificant.
Young people should experience more hardship. As the saying goes, "No pain, no gain."
If anyone present was dissatisfied with Professor McGonagall's punishment, it was Hermione.
"Professor McGonagall, this whole thing started because of me, and I deserve to be punished. Please punish me the same way you punished Bell!"
The loyal Little Witch couldn't accept that her best friend would be punished because of her, while she herself would get away scot-free.
"No, Miss Granger, the cause of this is not you. If one had to pinpoint a cause, it would be these words on the wall. As for Mr. Malfoy's insults towards you, that was entirely his fault, and you should not be punished."
Professor McGonagall flatly rejected Hermione's suggestion.
It's truly remarkable that Gryffindor House can produce even a few diligent and studious Little Wizard. Moreover, Hermione shares many personality traits with her, which is why Professor McGonagall couldn't bring herself to punish the Little Witch.
"But..."
"Alright, Hermione, no more buts."
Just as Hermione was about to continue arguing, Bell interrupted her.
Unlike him, Hermione, with her serious nature, would definitely follow the professor's instructions strictly if she were also put in solitary confinement. That way, he wouldn't be able to cheat with magic, would he?
Furthermore, Hermione did absolutely nothing wrong in what happened today. Therefore, as Professor McGonagall said, she should not be punished.
