The Petrified Little Wizards
Because the Quidditch Match was about to begin, most of the Little Wizard were concentrated on the route from the Great Hall to the Quidditch pitch. Only a few Little Wizard were scattered throughout the rest of the castle.
Although Bell couldn't sense the location of the Basilisk, he did sense that several Little Wizard in the direction of the Library were behaving strangely.
After the second probe, Bell found that the people were still standing in the same place, without moving.
That's really strange. Bell doesn't think it's possible for several people to be standing in the hallway in a daze at the same time. Not to mention, two of them are even in that raised hand and leg position.
Considering the places Penelope might have gone, the answer to where she encountered danger is self-evident.
"Senior, did you meet anyone else on your way here?"
"Bell asked."
"... Okay, I think I did see some? I was too panicked at the time and didn't get a good look at my surroundings. But now that you mention it, I do think I vaguely saw a few figures?"
Penelope said somewhat uncertainly. At the same time, she became a little flustered again.
On the way to the Great Hall, during the latter part of the journey, due to panic and exhaustion, she didn't really know whether the earring had given her any warning at that time.
But she was certain that the earring had been sending her dangerous signals for the first half of the journey.
This means that, at least for the first half of the journey, the monster was constantly chasing her. So, if there were other people along the way, wouldn't they have been harmed by her?!
Bell patted Penelope's trembling shoulder, comforting her, "Don't think too much about it, senior. It wasn't your fault anyway. Come with me, at least let's get them to the Hospital Wing."
"But..."
"Don't worry, the Basilisk is gone."
After saying that, Bell walked out of the Great Hall without looking back.
Left with no other choice, Hermione helped Penelope along and followed. Penelope's legs were still weak from running so fast.
As for Percy, who was lying on the ground being smeared and drawn on by his twin brother, he was completely forgotten by the three of them, just like his other brother Ron.
This is truly a sad story.
Walking down the castle corridor, Bell pondered a serious question, "Won't his planned afternoon outing be ruined?!"
Harry truly lives up to his Harry; his skills are becoming increasingly unfathomable. The first two times, the problems arose during matches, but this time he didn't even need to compete. This kid is terrifyingly powerful!
Seeing Bell walk ahead silently, his expression serious and his steps heavy, Hermione and Penelope, who were already uneasy, became even more nervous.
The two of them didn't dare to breathe, their bodies tense, looking around nervously. Even the slightest sound would send chills down their spines.
Soon, cold sweat soaked their clothes, and Penelope, who was already somewhat weak, found it even difficult to stand.
If the two women knew that what Bell was thinking about at that moment was actually something completely unrelated to the current Basilisk incident, they would probably have a perfectly coordinated doubles match.
"Um, what's wrong with you two?"
Bell, finally noticing the unusual behavior of the two people behind him, turned around and asked in surprise.
"Bell, are we safe now?"
Hermione asked in a low voice, afraid that a loud voice would disturb the Basilisk hiding in the shadows.
Penelope also looked at Bell with anticipation in her eyes.
"What? Safe? It's always been safe."
Bell looked at the two women, who were glancing left and right, with a puzzled expression.
"Didn't I already say that the Basilisk is gone? And you two are both wearing Crisis Perception Earring, can't you sense whether there's danger or not?"
"Then why were you looking so serious just now?"
Hermione asked, puzzled.
"Because..."
Bell's expression turned serious again.
The two women nervously swallowed, they had never seen Bell so serious before.
"The weather's so nice today. I was planning a picnic at Black Lake this afternoon, but I wonder if the appearance of the Basilisk will affect my plans?"
"..." *2
The two women looked at each other, and the atmosphere froze for a moment.
"Go to hell!!!" *2

Bell suddenly died...
"Ahem, just kidding (fake), I just saw you two were too tense, so I was just helping you relax. Okay, stop fooling around, let's get down to business."
Seeing that the two women wanted to continue beating him, Bell quickly continued walking towards the crime scene.
After walking for about 10 minutes, the first victim finally came into view.
Bell looked closely... and didn't recognize him...
Suddenly feeling unmotivated, Bell wanted to go back.
There's nothing we can do! The Basilisk has disappeared, and Bell can't do anything about the petrified Little Wizard.
Most importantly, he only has two acquaintances at Hogwarts, and both of them are currently following behind him.
"What happened here!?"
Professor McGonagall rushed over in a panic, followed by several Little Wizard.
It turned out that immediately after Bell and the other two left the Great Hall, Little Wizard who had overheard what had happened ran to find Professor McGonagall.
(Because the incident occurred at the Gryffindor dining table, those who overheard the conversation were all Gryffindor students.)
Upon hearing that the Basilisk had come out to attack the students again, Professor McGonagall rushed over without even asking for details.
"Oh, Professor, you've come at the right time. I was just about to go back... cough cough, I was just about to go back to find you. As you can see, that monster from before has come out again and is attacking people."
Bell happily went to greet Professor McGonagall. It was like a godsend; he was just wondering who to pin the blame on.
Professor McGonagall glanced at Bell and the other two, then stepped forward to examine the petrified Little Wizard.
Bell pursed his lips and then decided to make a run for it with Hermione and Penelope.
Compared to Professor McGonagall, Bell wasn't worried about the Little Wizard's situation at all. It wasn't that Bell was cold-hearted or indifferent to his classmates' lives, but rather that he knew the Little Wizard wasn't in any danger.
As mentioned before, Dumbledore's bottom line was to prevent anyone from dying at Hogwarts. Knowing that the Basilisk had escaped, Bell couldn't believe that Dumbledore had simply done nothing and watched someone do as they pleased.
"You three, come with me."
After finally checking the victim's condition and confirming that nothing unexpected had happened, Professor McGonagall breathed a sigh of relief and said to Bell and the other two.
Hearing Professor McGonagall's greeting, Bell was extremely reluctant. However, before he could say anything, Hermione, supporting Penelope, followed behind Professor McGonagall and walked away without looking back.
"... You two traitors!"
