Bell's Way of Saying Hello
"Really?"
Shanna looked at her Gege with expectant eyes.
"Of course! When has your Gege ever lied to you?"
Bell responded firmly.
"Then, can Shanna become as strong as her Gege? Can she help Gege?"
The little girl pressed for more information again, her voice trembling with anxiety.
"Certainly!"
Bell answered without hesitation once again.
"Shanna is my Gege's sister, she'll definitely become as strong as Gege in the future! Who knows, Shanna might even surpass Gege. When that happens, my Gege will have to rely on Shanna to protect him."
"Yes! Shanna will protect her Gege!"
The little girl patted her chest firmly, looking adorable as she was being held in her arms.
"Hahaha! Good! You truly are your Gege's good sister!"
Bell laughed heartily. This was probably the happiest thing he had heard all evening.
"Shanna, can you wait here for your Gege for a while? Gege will go and clean up those bad things."
Shanna nodded. Although the little girl really wanted to help her Gege clean up the bad things, she didn't have much magic left in her body, so she didn't bring it up.
Turning his head to look at the low-level evil spirits surrounding him, Bell's smile vanished.
These guys are really annoying. They're incredibly weak, but they're like babies, always popping out from every nook and cranny.
"Oh, right, Shanna, I forgot to mention before, your ' Fire Ring ' was fantastic!"
Suddenly remembering something, Bell turned back and smiled at Shanna.
Before Shanna's smile could fully bloom, Bell continued, "Also, tonight's last lesson—'Learn to convert single-target Curses into area-of-effect attacks.' If you master this technique, you would have been able to easily defeat that Kama Itachi earlier."
With that, Bell raised his Wand high above his head.
To allow Shanna to more clearly perceive the changes in magic power, Bell deliberately slowed down the casting speed.
"Reduce to Dust!"
Accompanied by Bell's incantation, his magic formed a ring and rippled out from the tip of his staff.
In an instant, the world fell silent, and all the lowly evil spirits that had been constantly groaning "Ah~ Ah~" were reduced to dust by the power of Bell's Curses.
Then, without any warning, Bell suddenly swung his Wand to his right rear.
"Magic Power Impact!"
Silencio, a section of the top floor of a distant building was missing. Under the impact of Bell's powerful magic, not even a speck of dust remained.
"Bell!? You..."
Yomi's surprised voice rang out, but at that moment, Bell had already disappeared from the spot.
Standing under the pitch-black night sky, Bell glanced around. With a gentle wave of his hand, a tiny, almost invisible fragment of a butterfly wing flew into his palm.
The vestigial wings were bluish-green, dotted with some black spots, and were crystal clear, making them quite beautiful.
"Tch, did it miss?"
Actually, Bell didn't know if anyone was there. However, ever since he arrived at the battlefield that night, he had had a feeling of being watched.
Therefore, after resolving the immediate trouble, he launched a wide-range Magic Power Impact based on his general sense of direction.
Now, the broken butterfly wing in his hand, and the dissipating magic on it, clearly tell Bell that his previous feeling was not wrong.
Bell didn't know who the other party was, nor what their purpose was. He also didn't know whether the evil spirit that appeared tonight was related to them.
However, their time in Japan was running out, and as long as the other party didn't cause them any trouble, Bell didn't plan to pursue the matter any further.
As for Yomi, Bell could only offer a reminder. After all, he couldn't possibly stay here indefinitely to protect Yomi, even for a danger whose very existence was uncertain.
After appearing in Apparition next to Shanna, Bell was met with Yomi's questioning gaze.
"Bell! What were you doing just now? Why did you destroy that building?"
"There was someone spying on us from over there; I was just saying hello to him."
Bell waved his hand and said casually.
"Greeting you? That's quite a unique way to greet someone!"
Although she was complaining, Yomi clearly believed Bell's words. After all, Bell had no reason to lie to her about this.
In fact, Yomi sensed something was wrong from the very beginning regarding tonight's events.
Previously, Yomi could have used the excuse that the Countermeasures Office was short-staffed, which was why they were unable to deal with the evil spirit incident in time to convince himself.
Now, almost an hour has passed, but not a single person from the Countermeasures Office has shown up, or even contacted her. This just doesn't make sense.
Now, Bell says that someone has been watching them from a distance.
Even Yomi, who was completely unskilled in scheming and plotting, sensed that something was wrong.
Hopefully things won't get too complicated. She really doesn't want to fail the next exam...
"By the way, Bell, what are you planning to do with that ' Train '? And how did you manage to stop it from moving?"
Yomi finally remembered that poor little "Train".
Yomi was terrified when Bell suddenly appeared in front of Kama Itachi.
On one hand, Yomi was very angry about Bell's "foolish behavior" of standing face-to-face with Kama Itachi.
It's important to know that not only is the Kama Itachi fast, but its attack speed is also extremely fast!
Bell, by no means, seemed to be skilled in close combat. Could it be that he planned to kill the Kama Itachi with that little "wooden stick" in his hand?
On the other hand, how could Bell just run away so irresponsibly?!
Keep in mind, she hasn't recovered much of her strength and magical power yet! Without Bell's suppression, what if that ' Train ' suddenly stands up and bites her!?
Unexpectedly, not only was the Kama Itachi easily crushed to death by Bell, but the "Train" also remained motionless with its head stuck in the ground.
What surprised Yomi the most was that the flames on the back of the Train had gone out without him noticing!
If it weren't for the fact that evil spirits don't leave behind corpses after they die, Yomi would have thought that Bell had killed this "Train".
"Oh, you mean it!"
Bell then suddenly remembered that there was a big guy over there waiting for him to deal with.
"It's nothing, just a regular Petrification Curse."
Nodding in disbelief, Yomi readily believed Bell's nonsense.
In other words, Yomi didn't understand wizards, and she didn't even know how to use Onmyodo, which is why she was easily fooled by Bell.
Looking at Shanna beside her, although the little girl didn't say anything, it was easy to see from her curious eyes that she didn't believe that what her Gege had cast was a so-called "ordinary" Petrification Curse.
