Immeasurable Merit
"So, this person doesn't have any accomplices infiltrating Hogwarts?"
Salomon confirmed.
He was very dissatisfied with the lack of ambition displayed by his team members. If the occasion hadn't been inappropriate, he probably would have given them a good lecture.
"Yes, yes, Captain!"
As if sensing the dissatisfaction in the captain's eyes, the Auror straightened his back and responded loudly.
"Where is the real Alastor Moody?"
At this moment, Dumbledore suddenly interrupted and asked a question.
The headmaster didn't want the group of Auror to continue chatting there.
Although it was what he wanted to see the Little Wizard learn about Voldemort's resurrection, everything should be done gradually.
He took too big a step at once, and he was afraid that the students would not be able to handle it.
"Alastor Moody was hidden in the Professor's Office by Barty Crouch Jr.. so that he could take hair from him at any time."
The hair used in the Polyjuice Potion must have been taken from the target within one day. It is thanks to this property of the Polyjuice Potion that Moody has survived to this day.
"Well then, Mr. Redman, I think it's necessary for us to rescue Professor Moody now and get more details from him. What do you think?"
"Dumbledore said."
"As you wish, Professor."
Having done what needed to be done, Salomon didn't want to waste any more time here. He now wished he could take Barty Crouch Jr.. back to the Ministry of Magic immediately to avoid any further complications.
"Minerva, could you please work with the other professors to take the students back to the lounge?"
Also, tell the students to rest assured that no matter what happens, Hogwarts will be a safe place.
As long as they remain in the school, they do not need to worry about their safety.
After saying this, Dumbledore led Salomon and the others quickly toward the castle.
Harry hasn't come back yet, and nobody knows what happened.
Could it be that there's something wrong with the new Wand?
That shouldn't be happening!
Upon learning that Harry's Wand had been broken by the little girl from the Menethil Family, Dumbledore immediately plucked a tail feather from Fawkes's rear end and had Ollivander urgently craft a brand new Wand, which he then sold to Harry.
Logically speaking, this new one should be better than the old one.
So, where exactly did things go wrong?
It seems he'll be busy again tonight after rescuing Alastor.
Bell was completely unaware that Dumbledore had to sacrifice his precious sleep time once again to anxiously search for Harry's whereabouts.
Snap!
A crisp cracking sound rang out out of nowhere, and Bell, his teeth clenched and his whole body trembling slightly, appeared outside the gates of Hogwarts.
At this moment, his entire body was covered in pink, newly grown skin, and coupled with his bent-over posture and the pain he was enduring, he looked exactly like a boiled shrimp.
"It hurts like hell—!"
His newborn skin was still very delicate, and because he didn't have much magic left in his body, he couldn't spare much magic to protect his skin.
Faced with the constriction of space, he felt a burning pain all over his body. Moreover, he dared not touch himself, as that would only make the pain worse.
He really never wants to experience that tingling sensation again!
"Lim ~!"
The pain throughout his body was beyond Bell's expectations, making it difficult for him to even walk.
Left with no other choice, he had to summon his personal butler.
Originally, he didn't want Lim to see him like this. Otherwise, the other would definitely make a big fuss about it.
They might even feel that they failed to protect him and secretly punish themselves.
"Young... Young Master!!!"
What's wrong with you?!
Who! Who hurt you!!!
As soon as he appeared, Lim launched a three-stage sonic attack, just as Bell had predicted, giving Bell the illusion that his skin was being stung by the sound waves.
Seeing Lim's shocked expression, Bell inexplicably thought of a sponge with a yellow brick-shaped body, big teeth and a long nose, living on the seabed.
What should I do if I suddenly feel like laughing?
"Oh! My poor Young Master! It's all Lim's fault! Lim is so useless! He failed to protect you! That's why you got hurt!"
"Lim is a wicked elf! Lim deserves to die! Lim is going to commit seppuku in a minute..."
"Stop, stop, stop!"
As Lim's words became increasingly outrageous, Bell's smile vanished in fear.
"Lim, if you're interested in what happened tonight, I can tell you about it tomorrow."
All you need to know right now is that my injury is not your fault. You don't need to feel guilty, and you are absolutely forbidden from cutting yourself open!
The mere mention of "seppuku" gives Bell a toothache.
When Lim traveled to China and Japan, he learned a large number of recipes from China, which greatly improved his cooking skills.
But after leaving Japan, Bell asked Lim curiously if he had gained anything from Japan.
The reason he asked that question was mainly because he was afraid that Lim would be influenced by Japan sashimi, sushi, and the like.
He doesn't want to eat raw fish or raw meat.
What happened next is still fresh in his memory.
Lim said excitedly at the time:
"A huge haul, Young Master!"
After several days of investigation, I discovered that in ancient Japan, there was a group of people very similar to our House-elf – the samurai!
Just like our House-elf, the knights considered serving their master's house the highest honor and dedicated their lives to those they served!
From samurai records, I learned that when samurai made mistakes, they would perform a ritual called "seppuku" to cleanse themselves of their sins and demonstrate their loyalty.
This is absolutely amazing! Why did I never think of that before?!
When I get back, I'll teach this wonderful way of apologizing to the other House-elf in the house, so that next time we make a mistake, we can atone for our sins!
Bell was terrified!
If Lim were to actually introduce this tradition of seppuku into the House-elf, based on Bell's understanding of these neurotic little creatures, the Britain House-elf would be extinct in just a few years!
It seems that going abroad is really too dangerous; I need to be even more careful in the future!
After much persuasion, Bell finally had to give Lim a death order before he was able to dissuade Lim from passing on the culture of seppuku to other House-elf.
At that moment, Bell felt he Immeasurable Merit, and might even become a Buddha on the spot.
