'Harmonious' Talks
"Squeak!"
The bar's wooden door was pushed open from the outside, the old hinges making a sharp, piercing sound that shattered the bar's deathly silence.
"Gege, why is this bar so shabby?"
Along with the sound of the door opening came the little girl's clear and melodious voice, as sweet as a lark's.
Although she had never been to the Leaky Cauldron in the British Wizarding World, nor to the Three Broomsticks Pub in Hogsmeade or the supposedly filthy and chaotic Hog's Head Pub, Shanna did go to a Silent Night Bar that her family owned with her mother when she was little.
Although she had only been there once, Shanna had a pretty deep impression of it.
The slightly dim lighting, soothing music, spotless environment, exquisite design, and subtle fragrance combined to make even the usually lively and active girl lower her voice and enjoy the moment of tranquility.
That experience left Shanna with a consistently positive impression of bars.
But today, that impression of hers has been overturned.
To be honest, Shanna wanted to go back as soon as she arrived outside the Slug and Jiggers.
Because this bar truly lives up to its name.
The outer wall of the bar was covered with various unidentified liquids, some dark and some light, just like the slime secreted by slugs.
Upon entering the bar and seeing its dirty and messy interior, the usually clean girl almost drew her Wand and cast Incendio to cleanse the filthy place.
Bell reached out and ruffled Shanna's little head, calming his sister's restless little hands.
Knowing this would happen, that's why he didn't want Shanna to come along.
Putting aside the potential dangers of today's treacherous banquet, he didn't want his sister to step into this filthy bar.
However, in the end, he couldn't overcome Shanna's insistence...
I wonder what's wrong with these Dark Wizard? Do they really want to be corrupted just because their names contain the word "dark"?
The problem is, black doesn't necessarily mean dirty! Why do people always like to go to places that are barely better than a sewer?
Fortunately, the bar didn't smell bad, which made it better than the Hog's Head Pub in Hogsmeade.
Otherwise, before Shanna could even make a move, he would have to burn this place down with a blazing Incendio.
Leading his sister and Goodwin, Bell walked slowly to the round table in the center of the bar, seemingly oblivious to the oppressive and malicious gazes cast upon him by the gang leaders.
Looking at the round table in front of him, which was completely surrounded by people and had no place for them, Bell smiled and didn't care.
The more the other party resorts to such underhanded tactics, the more it reveals their guilty conscience.
True powerhouses don't need these unnecessary displays of power; they simply need to sit there, and everyone else must lower their proud heads.
Without Bell making any move, the bar floor began to move rapidly as he walked to the round table. The floor, supporting the chairs in front of Bell and the gang leader on them, moved to both sides.
Then, as Bell and Shanna sat down, two exquisite and ornate chairs quickly rose up and caught them perfectly.
Goodwin stood straight behind his Young Master master and mistress, his sharp eyes scanning the crowd, ready to pounce on anyone.
Bell's masterful Wandless Magic completely stunned the assembled gang leaders. They even suspected that the owner of the Slug and Jiggers had been bribed by the Menethil Family to make this arrangement beforehand.
Of course, they knew that was impossible.
It's impossible for someone who isn't the bar owner to be bribed by the Menethil Family. They don't think much of that money-grubbing Old Home.
The so-called impossibility refers to the fact that no one could make such arrangements in advance under the watchful eyes of so many people.
You should know that there is not a single weak person among those present!
Regardless, these gang leaders put aside their initial contempt for Bell's youthful appearance.
"Kid! Who are you! Has your Menethil Family run out of people? You actually sent two immature brats like you to negotiate?"
Although I no longer look down on the other party, I still cannot show any weakness in terms of outward demeanor.
"Let me introduce myself. My name is Bell Menethil, son of William, the patriarch of the Menethil Family. This is my sister, Shanna."
Bell introduced himself and Shanna in a friendly manner, showing no anger whatsoever at the other party's rude remarks.
"Furthermore, I'd like to clarify one point. Today, we are not here to negotiate, but to inform you of the Menethil Family's decision..."
"Notification! Your Menethil Family has quite the audacity! How dare you call this a notification to us!?"
Kid, do you know how many wizards we have here?
Each of you could drown from a single spit...
A dark shadow flashed by and swallowed the guy who had been chattering incessantly since the beginning, before anyone could even react.
Reaching out to stroke the cold body of Ten Thousand Snakes on his wrist (Ten Thousand Snakes had completed its mission of transporting prisoners and returned around noon), Bell said that he was not angry at all because of the other party's rudeness.
After all, who would hold a grudge against a dead person, right?
"What did you do!?"
Faced with Bell's rude and unruly behavior of resorting to violence without warning, the other leaders jumped up from their chairs in shock.
They held their Wand, staring at Bell with trepidation.
Meanwhile, Bell remained completely unfazed, sitting calmly in his chair and surveying the crowd.
"Don't be nervous, it's just killing a fly."
But honestly, the bars here in United States are really terrible.
We've been sitting here for ages, and not a single waiter has come to serve us?
That's one thing, but such a big fly was buzzing around in this place where people eat and drink, and nobody seemed to care?
Boss! Boss, where are you?!
Is this how you run your bar?
As he spoke, Bell shouted a couple of things towards the bar, hoping the bar owner would come out and explain the service and hygiene issues.
Unfortunately, Bell's greeting only made the bar owner shrink deeper into the shadows, as if he were nailed to the spot.
No way, he'd have to be crazy to jump out at a time like this.
What are you going out for? To be a punching bag?
Even if he had 10 more lives, it wouldn't be enough for him to die!
