Quidditch Match
After opening the box and letting the Bludger and the Golden Snitch fly away, Madam Hooch solemnly addressed both teams. "Listen, I expect everyone to compete fairly and honestly. Now, hop on your brooms and listen for my whistle."
After both teams had mounted their Flying Broomstick and were ready, Madam Hooch blew her silver whistle with all her might.
Fifteen Little Wizard leaped into the air with a powerful push off the ground, beginning their fierce competition.
"Gryffindor's Angelina snatched the Quaffle! Well done! Oh, look at her graceful flight, she's such a charming girl!"
"Jordan!"
"I'm sorry, Professor McGonagall."
"Oh, it's Flint the Troll from Slytherin! What's he up to?! Oh no! He's going to lay a hand on the charming Angelina! Quick, anyone, stop him!"
"Jordan!!!"
The match was intense, with the Slytherin players committing numerous fouls from the start. Before long, Gryffindor player was bleeding.
Madam Hooch was furious, whistling incessantly to warn the Slytherin players. However, there were no red cards in Quidditch Match, so they continued their actions, adding a touch of bloodshed to an already tense match.
This is precisely what Bell finds most interesting about Quidditch Match. In a Quidditch World Cup match in 1473, 700 different fouls were committed. Yes, you read that right, in just one match! 700 different fouls! To this day, no one has created the 701st foul. The players in that match were truly ingenious!
If that person had become Dark Wizard, there probably wouldn't have been any Grindelwald or Voldemort later on.
"How outrageous! Absolutely outrageous! How could they do such a thing!"
Hermione was equally furious, throwing aside her carefully crafted banner and ignoring it. At that moment, the Little Witch wished she could pull out her Wand and unleash a few curses on the Slytherin players.
Unlike the furious Hermione, Bell acted as a proper bystander, eating, drinking, and watching, thoroughly enjoying himself.
Although the Little Wizard are far from being as skilled as professional players, this very difference makes the game less like a ball game and more like free-fighting. And that's precisely what Bell loves most about Quidditch.
"Oh no! Bell, stop eating! You need to think of something!"
Hermione snatched the skewers from Bell's hand, glaring at Bell with displeasure, her little face puffed up in anger.
"Um... there's nothing I can do about it. That's just how the rules are. What can I do?"
Bell shrugged innocently; he really had no way to deal with this.
"But they've been breaking the rules all along!"
"But breaking the rules doesn't result in being sent off..."
"..."
(>item<)
"How can there be such an unreasonable rule?!"
Hermione was going crazy.
Watching the impotently furious Little Witch, Bell felt apologetic, but Bell genuinely found it hilarious! Ahem, let's watch the game, let's watch the game. Bell shifted his gaze back to the field.
"Oh, beautiful right hook... Kick him! Go ahead and kick him! Kick him now... Yes, that's it, well done!"
Despite being a wizard, this doesn't stop Bell from having a melee-oriented mindset. After all, these days, a wizard who can't unleash a berserk mode isn't a qualified wizard.
Aside from the matches themselves, what Bell found most amusing was Lee Jordan's commentary. It just goes to show that racial talent is something you can't always envy. Lee Jordan's passionate voice had a touch of rap, giving it a rhythmic feel. Add to that his mindless praise of Gryffindor, his constant denigration of Slytherin players, and his frequent, blatant reminders to Gryffindor players, which often resulted in Professor McGonagall scolding him, making it feel like listening to a stand-up comedy routine – it was incredibly entertaining.
What's even more interesting is that, despite Professor McGonagall's seemingly ready-to-get-out-of-the-box demeanor, as the Head of Gryffindor Lee Jordan a Quidditch fanatic, she might actually be secretly delighted.
Didn't you see Snape's face turning green? But there wasn't much he could do; after all, Professor McGonagall was the Vice-Headmaster, while he was just the Head of Slytherin House. Rank really does have its advantages.
Just as Bell was drinking his cola and humming a song, engrossed in watching the show, Hermione suddenly grabbed Bell's arm and shook it violently.
"Bell, look at Harry! What's wrong with him?! Did his Flying Broomstick go out of control?" Hermione said anxiously, pointing to the sky.
After cleaning up the spilled cola on his robes, Bell looked up and scanned the sky, quickly spotting Harry. Harry's Flying Broomstick was shaking violently, like an untamed wild horse trying to throw off any troublemaker who dared to ride it. Harry was holding on with all his might, but it seemed he wouldn't be able to hold on for much longer.
More and more people noticed Harry's unusual behavior, and cries of alarm rang out. Some young Gryffindor Little Wizard even planned to rush into the arena to catch Harry as he was about to fall, using their colorful flags.
Bell was speechless as he listened to the shouts of the Little Wizard.
"So you guys don't actually use your Wand for eating, do you? And it's one thing for the lower grades to join in, but what are you upperclassmen doing here? Has the teaching quality at Hogwarts really gotten that bad?"
Bell knew Professor Quirrell was casting a curse on Harry's Flying Broomstick. Heaven knows what he was thinking; did he really believe Harry could be killed by the fall? Did he think the professors watching the game from the stands didn't exist? Was it Voldemort's own brain-dead aura that had impaired Quirrell's intelligence? Or was Voldemort simply out of Quirrell mind, issuing such a stupid order that Quirrell had no choice but to obey?
But none of that matters. What matters is... Hermione is about to shake Bell's arm off!
Saving Harry would be simple; a single Curses on Quirrell would suffice. But Bell didn't want to do that. If he showed any sign that he'd noticed Quirrell's suspicious behavior, it would undoubtedly attract Dumbledore's attention. And then, Bell might end up being dragged into Dumbledore's plans.
Although he couldn't agree with Dumbledore's way of doing things, Bell was still willing to give Dumbledore's magical skills and scheming level a big thumbs up.
Therefore, Bell will have to go to more trouble to save his arm.
"Alright, Hermione, stop shaking. If you keep shaking like this, I can't cast a spell to save Harry."
