Buy Wand

All day long, Bell stayed glued to Shanna's side.

They ate together, played games together, and slept together. Other than going to the bathroom, they were basically inseparable.

What? You said Buy Wand? How could a wand be more important than his little sister? To hell with wands!

Seeing her children getting along so harmoniously, Elena finally let go of the worry she had been holding onto.

She had always feared that years of isolated living would negatively affect Bell's mind and personality. Now, watching her Son happily play around while holding his Daughter, she finally felt at ease.

Elena cried happily, and Bell and Shanna comforted her for quite a while. It was not until Shanna was on the verge of crying too that Elena finally calmed down.

The next day arrived quickly.

"Bell, didn't we say we were going to Buy Wand? Let's go to Diagon Alley today," Elena suggested over breakfast.

"What!? How can you buy Bell a wand!? He's still too young!" William cried out.

He suspected that his wife had not fully woken up yet. Otherwise, why would she start talking nonsense so early in the morning? He had not bought his own wand until he was old enough to enroll in school. In fact, nearly all Little Wizards received their first wand at the age of eleven.

"Hmph! What do you know!"

Elena shot William a disdainful glance. She felt that William did not care about Bell at all, or else how could he say something so stupid?

"Bell's magical power is already very strong. After all these years of training, his control over magic has become incredibly skilled. He's far stronger than you in ways you can't even imagine, so why can't he buy a wand?!"

Faced with his wife's stern gaze, William shrank his neck.

What could he do? He wanted to maintain the dignity of the head of the household too, but he could not beat her. He was desperate too!

And if you wanted to praise Bell, then praise him. Why did you have to put him down while you were at it? He was quite powerful too. Back then, The Dark Lord had admired his strength and invited him repeatedly!

Fortunately, Elena did not know what William was muttering to himself inside his head, or she would have kicked him straight to the floor.

Did Voldemort admire your strength? He was after your body. What a scumbag!

"Eh!?"

Bell wore a look of disgust.

"I don't want to be separated from Shanna, right, Shanna?"

Seeing the funny face her Gege was making, Little Shanna giggled.

"Separate~ Separate~"

"See? Shanna doesn't want to be separated from me either."

Bell looked at his mother, completely lacking conviction but still sounding righteous.

"It'll only be for a little while. We'll come right back after we buy the wand, okay? You have to be there in person to buy a wand," Elena persuaded helplessly.

"No!"

Bell hugged Little Shanna tightly.

"Separate~ Separate~"

"..."

Because Bell absolutely refused to be separated from his little sister, and Little Shanna also clung to Bell, Elena ultimately had no choice but to take them both to Diagon Alley.

The three rode in a Flying Carriage pulled by two Thestrals. Bell discovered that he could actually see the Thestrals. Was it because he had witnessed his own death in his previous life?

The Thestrals flew quickly, and before long, the three arrived at Diagon Alley without passing through the Leaky Cauldron.

Looking at the street before him, Bell felt no excitement at all. Instead, he wanted to turn around and leave.

The narrow alley was lined with shops of uneven heights on both sides, making Bell's obsessive-compulsive tendencies flare up. He could say with complete certainty that compared to Diagon Alley, a twenty-first-century shopping mall was far more interesting. Though Bell did not enjoy shopping malls either.

Diagon Alley was not very long overall, and it did not have many shops. After all, the population of the British Wizarding World was limited, and it could not support too many stores.

Perhaps because it was still early, there were not many people shopping in Diagon Alley, which made Bell feel a little more comfortable.

At Bell's request, the three first went directly to Ollivander's Wand Shop.

Standing before the shop, Bell had to admit that if it were not the only place in all of Britain that sold wands, he would never have gone inside.

The cramped wand shop looked shabby at a glance from the outside, and the shelves inside were covered in dust. They were all wizards, so they could accomplish many things with a wave of a wand. Would it really have been so hard to make the shop a little cleaner and more presentable? At the very least, could they not have replaced the sign with a newer one?

But reality had no what-ifs. There really was only one wand shop in all of Britain. So no matter how unwilling Bell was, he could only bite the bullet and go in.

As they entered, the bell above the door gave a crisp ring.

"Welcome! Oh, Mrs. Menethil, is there something wrong with your wand?" Ollivander, the shop owner, came out and asked.

"My wand is fine, Mr. Ollivander. I came today to buy a wand for my Son, Bell."

Ollivander stared carefully at Bell for a while before saying, "Mrs. Menethil, forgive my bluntness, but your Son is not even eleven yet, is he? Isn't it too early to buy him a wand?"

"No, Mr. Ollivander. Bell is a genius. I believe he is already capable of owning a wand of his own." Elena straightened her chest and spoke proudly.

"Very well, if you insist."

Ollivander took out a measuring tape and walked over to Bell.

"Which hand do you usually use, child?"

"My right hand."

After a round of measurements that Bell did not understand but found impressive, Ollivander quickly pulled out a wand.

"Try this one, child. Ten inches, Vine Wood, Unicorn Tail Hair core."

Bell had barely touched the wand when Ollivander snatched it back.

"No, not this one. Try this instead. Eleven and a quarter inches, Willow Wood, Phoenix Feather core."

Bell took the wand and wanted to find a safer direction to wave it. However, after a few seconds, he gave up. Every spot in sight was piled full of boxes.

He casually waved the wand. Bell sensed his magical power flowing into it, but the flow was somewhat obstructed and not smooth. Several boxes containing wands floated into the air and tried to fly off in every direction, so Bell hurriedly controlled his magic and put them back where they belonged.

"It seems you are not suited to a wand with a gentle temperament, child. Well then, let's see. Try this one instead. Thirteen inches, Holly Wood, Dragon Heartstring core."

After taking the wand, Bell poured his magic into it. He was very satisfied with this one. He could feel his magic flowing smoothly through the wand before a rainbow burst from the Wand Tip. Little Shanna began jumping and hopping happily when she saw the rainbow.

"I didn't expect it to really be this one. Mrs. Menethil, this wand is powerful, but it also has a violent temperament and is difficult to control. To be honest, I do not recommend buying this wand for Little Bell. Are you sure you do not want to reconsider?" Ollivander asked with a frown.

"Of course. I believe Bell will be able to use this wand very well."

"Very well. Ten Galleons. Would you like a wand care kit as well? Just one more Galleon."

After Elena paid Ollivander eleven Galleons, the three left Ollivander's Wand Shop.
