Show a Hand

"Alright! But I need an assistant."

At last, someone had made that request, and Yomi immediately perked up.

Because of her age, Yomi had always worried that she would struggle to command respect. Without a doubt, the best way to solve that problem was to demonstrate her strength. She had long planned to show a little of what she could do during the first lesson.

"Me! Me!"

The boys eagerly raised their hands to volunteer.

They had all seen it in those Muggle movies—when people sparred, physical contact was most likely to happen. One careless move, and sparks might fly!

A bunch of idiots thinking with their lower halves had completely forgotten that they were Wizards and did not fight hand-to-hand at all.

Though Yomi really did fight hand-to-hand...

"Bell Menethil, you'll assist me."

Ignoring everyone else, Yomi directly called on Bell.

For something like this, she still felt more at ease using someone familiar. Otherwise, she feared she might accidentally slash a student to death.

Bell slowly stepped out from the crowd. He had long guessed that since Yomi had insisted he choose this class, she must have had some plan in mind. Now, it seemed that he, the perfect tool, was about to start shining again.

"The rest of you, stand by the shore and make sure you protect yourselves."

After giving the students that instruction, Yomi leaped several times and arrived at the center of the Black Lake.

She could not use Transfiguration. If she damaged the ground, she would have no way to repair it, which was why she had deliberately chosen the shore of the Black Lake for class. Unless necessary, she did not want to cause Bell trouble.

Though in Bell's eyes, that probably would not count as trouble at all.

Bell channeled Magic
