Bad Luck? Good Luck?

After delivering Little Wolf to the infirmary and entrusting him to Madam Pomfrey, Bell left Yomi behind to look after Little Wolf and departed the castle alone.

Earlier, on the second floor, he had already searched Hermenium's memories. Unfortunately, she had made thorough preparations and erased part of her own memories beforehand, preventing more information from being exposed if she were captured.

Still, even from those vague memories, Bell could determine that someone had to be waiting outside Hogwarts' Defense Barrier.

He was going to deal with those people now.

Someone had actually dared to ambush his sister—his family—at Hogwarts. Though Bell showed nothing on the surface, rage had long since boiled over within him.

Bell had obtained permission to pass through Hogwarts from the Board of Directors long ago, ensuring that he could move through the Defense Barrier unimpeded. Even so, having permission did not mean he could pass through the barrier at any location he pleased.

Setting aside those Secret Passages, Hogwarts' Defense Barrier had only three public entrances: the main gate, the Black Lake, and the fireplace in the Headmaster's Office.

Using the Flying Shoes, Bell swiftly flew over the Black Lake and left the barrier's protective range.

He then rose higher, hovering roughly a hundred meters in the air.

He took out the Enchantment Glasses and put them on. The dazzling glow of Magic Power from Hogwarts' Defense Barrier made Bell's vision swim, and it took him a while to barely adapt.

As he patrolled along the edge of the enormous barrier, Bell quickly spotted something unusual.

Space twisted slightly, and Bell vanished from the air.

"Say, why haven't Wallace and the other two come out yet?"

Bruno chewed gum boredly as he casually asked.

"What's the rush? It's only been a few hours."
