Lockhart's Hidden Meaning
"Why are you doing this? It's just a test paper, are you afraid you can't do it?" Hermione asked suspiciously.
Although she was reluctant to admit it, Bell had far surpassed Hermione's understanding, both in terms of theoretical knowledge and practical spellcasting.
Hermione simply couldn't imagine that if Bell couldn't answer the questions on the test, then who could?
In that case, wouldn't the point of professors setting exam papers be lost?
The Little Witch believed that Professor Lockhart, given his excellence, would never do such a thing.
"Of course I'm not afraid of not being able to do it. But I really can't! And I have no interest in doing it either, you can tell by looking at the contents of that test paper."
Bell would be crazy to study the questions on that test paper. Besides, Bell was afraid Lockhart couldn't handle it.
If Bell were to actually do that test, he was afraid he would go crazy, and Lockhart might not be able to leave the classroom.
Hermione lowered her head and began reading the test paper in her hand.
Question 1: What is Gilderoy Lockhart's favorite color? Question 2: What is Gilderoy Lockhart's secret ambition?
The rest of the questions were similar, all about Professor Lockhart, totaling 54 questions across three pages.
"..."
To be honest, even Hermione, who greatly admires Professor Lockhart, felt an urge to cover her face after seeing this test paper.
"Alright, I admit you do have some merit. However, since Professor Lockhart has asked us to answer these questions, there must be a deeper meaning behind it that we cannot yet comprehend. Perhaps?"
Hermione defended Lockhart somewhat hesitantly.
"Let Mao's deeper meaning go to hell. Hermione, if Lockhart really has any deeper meaning, then please tell me later. In any case, I will absolutely not waste my time on this damn test paper, there's no room for discussion on that!"
Sensing the determination in Bell's words, Hermione had no choice but to give up.
Having finally won Hermione over, Bell cast an Muffliato spell on himself, immersing himself in a sea of knowledge.
Bell is currently reading an Alchemy book that he copied from Nicolas.
Bell doesn't have much time left; he must hurry up and improve his Alchemy skills to ensure his "grand plan" is completed on time.
This plan is extremely important to Bell, and anyone who dares to cause trouble should not be surprised if Bell turns on them!
"It's not difficult to imbue an object with multiple spells. Even a novice Alchemy, as long as the materials are precious enough and the object is large enough, can successfully imbue a single object with different kinds of magic. However, this is only the lowest quality magical item; different spells can easily interfere with each other, reducing the spell's power, making it completely unacceptable."
A properly crafted magical item should not only prevent different types of magic from interfering with each other, but should also enhance each other, allowing the original magic to exert its power several times, or even dozens of times, greater.
"To achieve this, a very high level of Alchemy skill is required. First, the wizard needs a thorough understanding of the magic to be applied. Second, the wizard needs to be intimately familiar with the properties of various magical materials."
Only after achieving the above two points can a wizard truly enter the realm of Alchemy and create advanced magical items.
"Different magical properties require different magical materials. However, to allow different spells to complement each other and unleash greater power, the properties of the magic to be applied must be comprehensively considered when selecting magical materials."
For example, when applying both Levitation Charm and Shooting Spell, considering the properties of both, one should not use magical materials with levitation properties, but rather magical materials with flight properties. Many people easily confuse these two properties, but in reality, they are two different things...
"Bell! Bell!!!"
Hermione grabbed Bell's arm and shook it violently, calling out Bell's name loudly as she did so.
Bell, who was engrossed in studying, was brought back to her senses by Hermione.
After the Curses was lifted from him, Bell looked at Hermione with a puzzled expression.
Only then did he notice that the classroom was filled with the screams of the Little Wizard, and Lockhart had disappeared without a trace.
"Bell, you're finally reacting. Were you blocking out your hearing again? How could you do that in Professor Lockhart's class!?"
"No, no, I was just too engrossed in reading."
Of course, Bell wouldn't tell the Little Witch that he had no intention of listening to Lockhart's nonsense at all, which was why he had shut down his hearing.
"More than that, I want to know what happened?"
Bell looked on with a puzzled expression at the Little Wizard running around the classroom and the Cornish Pixies who had appeared there at some unknown time.
So what fun game are they playing?
"It was Professor Lockhart who released these Cornish Pixies."
Hermione said quickly.
"So what about our esteemed Professor Lockhart?"
Bell had already roughly guessed what had happened.
"The professor is under the lectern."
Hermione pointed to the large lectern at the front of the classroom. The Little Witch's expression was somewhat subtle, as if she wanted to say something but hesitated.
"...oh."
"Oh my god! Bell, come with me and catch these little guys!"
Hermione pulled out her Wand and cast a precise Petrification Curse, hitting a Cornish Pixies.
"Beautiful Curses! Hermione, you've improved a lot since a few months ago. It seems you've been practicing your locking technique with magic?"
Seeing Hermione's swift and efficient movements, Bell couldn't help but applaud in praise.
"Since I can't use my Wand at home during the holidays, besides studying, all I can do is practice the 'tricks' you taught me before. I didn't expect the Petrification Curse to actually hit the target; I was quite surprised myself."
Hermione said somewhat shyly.
Although she believed the techniques Bell had taught her would be very useful, she practiced diligently every day during the summer vacation. However, because she hadn't been able to use her Wand to cast Curses before, she didn't know how much progress she would make.
To be honest, Hermione was genuinely terrified of herself.
A Cornish Pixies suddenly appeared behind Bell. The little fellow stretched out its 'wicked' little hand, trying to grab Bell's hair.
"Bell! Watch out behind you!"
Hermione exclaimed.
