Bell made a deal with Sirius Black for the Black Family’s magical collection in exchange for protection, then recruited staff for the Menethil Family. Buckbeak was sentenced to execution, Hermione’s intervention in a student fight caused an uproar, and Shanna planned to lead Lena and Phyllis into the Forbidden Forest.

• Lupin treated Black’s wounds and persuaded him to protect Harry from the shadows, while Fudge ordered a search for them and Dumbledore feigned surprise.
• Bell offered Lupin and Black the Menethil Family’s help in exchange for access to the Black Family’s magical knowledge, and Black eventually agreed after Bell promised to protect Harry.
• Hermione learned that Lupin had helped Black and agreed to keep his secret, while Bell and Black negotiated the terms of Harry’s protection and the collection.
• Bell and Hermione tried to help Buckbeak by proposing that Hagrid give him to Bell, but Hagrid refused, and Gryffindor beat Ravenclaw in a Quidditch match as Shanna tried to attack Harry’s Firebolt.
• Bell held recruitment interviews, hiring applicants including Horner, Cassidy, and Warner, while Shanna drove off a disruptive Wizard and Luna joined the Menethil Family to study Curses.
• During security interviews, Fina injured George in a combat assessment, Hermione lost three duels, and Snape evaluated applicants’ Potions skills.

Shanna's covert mission in the Forbidden Forest ended with a theft from the Giant Squid, and Bell took Hermione and Shanna on a trip to the Menethil Family Mars Base. After several days of exploring Mars, they returned to Earth for the Quidditch World Cup final, where Ginny thanked Bell for saving her life.

• Shanna led Lena and Phyllis through the Forbidden Forest, where Fina fought and killed a Bobo Bear before Shanna buried the evidence of the battle.
• Shanna took Phyllis and Lena underwater, controlled the Giant Squid, and removed three of its tentacles before altering its memories.
• At the end-of-year ceremony, Harry received the Order of Merlin and Dumbledore's School Special Contribution Award, while Bell promised Hermione an extraordinary trip.
• Bell took Hermione to the Mars Base, where she learned about the House-elves’ Blood Curse and toured the base's mines and facilities with Bell and Shanna.
• Bell, Shanna, and Hermione explored Mars for several days, then returned to the base after Will repeatedly urged them to come back.
• Before the Ireland–Bulgaria Quidditch final, Ginny thanked Bell for saving her life, and Arthur wondered whether she had feelings for him.

Bell and his friends dealt with Percy’s mistreatment of Penelope before attending the Quidditch World Cup final. When masked Wizards attacked the campsite, Bell brought in the Special Operations Team, and Shanna and Hermione faced the battle beside him.

• Bell took Gabrielle back to Fleur after finding her lost in the market, then returned to the Wooden House with Shanna and Hermione.
• After Penelope described Percy’s constant pressure and suspicion, Shanna attacked him with Mad Bear, and Bell stopped the fight before Percy was killed.
• Bell apologized to Arthur and gave him Potions and 500 Galleons, then helped Shanna understand her anger toward Percy through Occlumency.
• At the Quidditch World Cup final, Ireland defeated Bulgaria 170:160, while Hermione stopped Bell and Shanna from joining the brawl.

• Bell used fire, stone meteors, and dust to support the Action Team, then led them away as Aurors surrounded the remaining Black Robed Wizards and accepted their surrender.
• Bell reassured Hermione after the battle and destroyed the Dark Mark that appeared outside the Wooden House before the Roberts family was taken to the Ministry.
• Bell brought Hermione and her parents onto Platform 9 3/4, then reunited with Shanna, Phyllis, and Lena before boarding the Hogwarts Express.
• Dumbledore announced that Hogwarts would host the Triwizard Tournament, and Bell refused Snape’s request that he enter as a Slytherin.
