Power Progression

Stage / Realm / Level Chapter Notes
Roleplay fidelity: 1% 1 Initial recorded state. Possesses a Star Rail Pass and coffee, but cannot produce the expected saw, orbital cannon, or Starblazer.
Astral Express startup mission completed 2 Receives a spatial briefcase, introductory interstellar navigation knowledge, and Astral Express maintenance knowledge.
Monomolecular Saw acquired 4 Rewarded after summoning Pom-Pom during the phased train-repair mission.
Imagenesis Arts unlocked 5 Earns the achievement Open up! Nameless! by smashing the ticket checker and forcing open the Amusement Park gate. Can expend her own energy to draw Imagenae.
Level Five Danger assessment 16 Taco’s smart glasses rate her combat strength at level five. This is a danger assessment, separate from roleplay fidelity.
Roleplay fidelity: 5% 21 Recorded during Ali’s ambush. Demonstrates practiced martial-arts combinations despite physical weakening and a mental attack.
Roleplay progress +3% 23 Reward for ruining and defeating Pig Trotter Rice King. The system announces that the Banner Spear unlocks at 10%.
Detectable otherworldly power 26 A new scan detects a negligible trace of power from beyond the world. Himeko attributes its emergence to increased roleplay progress and identifies it as likely related to Trailblaze.
Roleplay progress: 14% 34 Haunted House Cutter grants +5% progress, enhanced Imagenesis, and increased maximum energy storage. Meets the Banner Spear’s unlock requirement; Starblazer blueprints remain locked until 20%.
Attribute assessment: A / MAX 36 Strength, speed, constitution, and reflexes are rated A. Speciality is rated MAX because it exceeds the assessment’s calculation limit. Even without her special qualities, her overall assessment is at least Level Five Danger.
Instance skills acquired 45 Draws Mystical Coffee Art, Floral Art, and Invisibility.
Long Tone of the Distant Horizon unlocked 45 Drawing three skills earns an achievement that randomly repairs the Astral Express’s support attack, granting access to the skill.
Military Combat Exoskeleton acquired 52 53 The Cyberpsycho achievement, requiring twenty kills in Los Angeles, rewards an exoskeleton that provides mechanical strength without replacing the wearer’s limbs. Its acquisition does not establish that she equips it.
Partial Starblazer summoning available 96 Dan Heng knows that Himeko can summon part of the Starblazer. The passage does not specify her current roleplay percentage or establish access to a complete operational Starblazer.
Victory over a Level Eleven Danger; increased personal danger rating 99 100 Her creation crushes a Level Eleven Danger during the resolution of Yamada’s scheme. Taco subsequently discovers that her own danger rating has risen to match Dan Heng’s, without giving its numerical value.

Appearance

  • Hair and eyes: Long red hair with starlight at its ends, and eyes that shimmer with golden light 1.
  • Clothing: Her initial description includes a red cape, star-speckled red skirt lining, a long white glove on her right hand, and a patterned glove over her left palm 1.
  • Later outfit details: Her one-to-one wax replica wears a long white dress decorated with golden flowers and a black-and-gold coat bearing a train ticket 9.
  • Bearing: Her clean features are described as mature and charming. She can run and fight comfortably in high heels 2 16.

Personality

Himeko treats the Trailblaze as a reason to build cooperation rather than exploit weaker contestants. She rescues strangers, shares supplies that the Express does not need, and accepts Washana into her group after requiring an apology for attacking Taco. She believes that people who receive help while weak may eventually extend the same help to others 16 17 25.

Her compassion has limits. She refuses to injure contestants in exchange for Inukai’s allegiance, but does not consider herself responsible for preventing every voluntary fight over resources. She forgives Duncan’s deception while warning that her patience is finite, and recognizes Inukai’s intention to exploit her 40 42 43.

Although she prefers talking when an opponent appears willing to cooperate, she uses decisive violence against active threats. She remembers the countries that afflicted her with debuffs, kills Ali after his attempt to control her, and later dismembers a street thug who threatens to sell her 7 9 21 50.

She wants to embody a mature, dependable navigator, making Himechi Cat’s unruly behavior particularly embarrassing when others identify the cat as another version of her. Her confidence is also conspicuously misplaced in the kitchen: she interprets rats dying after drinking her coffee as proof that its flavor was worth the risk 20 35 44.

Her concern for bystanders influences her tactics. When the Mobile Unit pursues her through Los Angeles, she retreats rather than start a battle amid civilians, then deliberately drives toward higher traffic lanes and the sparsely populated outskirts to reduce collateral harm 58 59.

She remains cautious about unfamiliar technology despite her interest in studying it. She declines to modify her own flesh with cyberware, recognizes that Yamada may have a fallback plan, and considers which technologies can safely be shared with Huaxia rather than treating every discovery as suitable for immediate transfer 49 95 100.

Her efforts to discipline Himechi Cat coexist with a mischievous streak. During the confrontation with Yamada, she tells the cat to mind her manners but also teases her physically; later, she approves of Dan Heng’s efforts to teach Himechi Cat proper behavior 82 99.

Abilities & Skills

Roleplaying System

Himeko’s personal system rewards mission completion, achievements, and increased fidelity to her role 1.

  • Grants knowledge, weapons, ability improvements, and repairs to the Astral Express 2 4 34 45.
  • Increased roleplay progress strengthens her physically; she kicks open the park gate specifically to test that improvement 6.
  • Her system-derived abilities are distinct from the National Destiny instance’s displayed skill list, which remains empty before she uses her skill draws 36 45.
  • Some rewards are unlock thresholds rather than immediate possessions: reaching 20% would unlock Starblazer blueprints, not provide a finished Starblazer 34 45.
  • Achievements can reward equipment as well as direct improvements. Cyberpsycho, earned for killing twenty people in Los Angeles, grants a Military Combat Exoskeleton 52 53.
  • By the later Los Angeles operation, she can summon part of the Starblazer, although the intervening unlock process and current roleplay percentage are not specified in the available account 96.

Trailblaze and Spatial Storage

Her briefcase uses the power of the Trailblaze to hold far more than its external dimensions suggest 2.

  • Stores tools, medicine, supplies, and even an entire infirmary cabinet 7 17.
  • Can itself be placed inside her personal storage space and summoned back into her hand 2 36.
  • Allows weapons such as the Banner Spear to appear without her opening the briefcase 36.
  • Does not let her disregard the National Destiny Battlefield’s exit rules 35.
  • Provides resistance to certain environmental anomalies and mental corruption, including the Paradise Wraith’s attempt to lure her onto the Rocking Ride. It does not prevent externally imposed contestant debuffs or the resulting illness 6 7.

Imagenesis Arts

Imagenesis lets Himeko expend her own energy to create Imagenae and construct or reshape objects 5 12 49.

  • Body modification: Reshapes her wax double into Himechi Cat and later installs an Imagenesis body in her 12 13 47.
  • Weapon construction: Builds the crude Beggars’ Railgun, stripping away other functions to prioritize an overwhelming attack powered by her own energy 33.
  • Mechanical replication: Produces a prosthetic hand after examining Night City’s implants, though the prototype requires an existing hand to operate 49.
  • Limitations: Himechi Cat’s early body still contains enough wax to soften under intense heat. The railgun’s recoil sends Himeko backward, and she needs time to recover her energy after firing it 14 23 33 34.
  • Growth: The Haunted House achievement enhances her Imagenesis ability and maximum energy storage 34.
  • Unusual operation: Imagenae and other Imagenesis creations persist in the instance despite Himeko having accumulated no wish power. She recognizes the discrepancy but continues using the ability because it works 33.
  • Commercial application: Chooses to sell Imagenesis-made goods to obtain Los Angeles currency rather than sell herself or Himechi Cat 49.

Combat and Imaginary-Energy Flames

Himeko combines enhanced physical ability with close-range weapons, remote attacks, and fire 7 16 21 30.

  • Martial arts: Breaks Ali’s defenses with punches, an uppercut, and a knee-targeting kick after he knocks away her suitcase 21.
  • Agility: Easily evades the red-nosed doctor’s blood jet and maneuvers around Inukai’s Six-Phased Ice attacks 16 45.
  • Flames: Burns a regenerating wax double and engulfs the Haunted House’s enormous tree in fire formed from Imaginary Energy 11 30.
  • Durability: Emerges uninjured after being thrown backward by her own railgun blast 33 34.
  • Limits: Stacked debuffs seriously impair her, and ordinary saw and projectile attacks cannot overcome the contaminated Six-Phased Ice defenses encountered near the park’s finale 6 22 41 45.
  • Measured attributes: A scan rates her strength, speed, constitution, and reflexes at A, with her speciality exceeding the calculation limit and receiving a MAX rating 36.
  • Urban combat: Can seize a pursuing hovercar by leaping through gunfire, forcing its door open, and throwing out its operator 58.
  • Stronger opposition: A Banner Spear shot damages a Mobile Unit member’s shield and causes minor injuries rather than killing him. She judges a large group of these Level Six Danger officers too dangerous to confront casually 58 59.
  • Later growth: By the end of the Los Angeles conflict, a creation of hers has defeated a Level Eleven Danger, and Taco finds that her own danger rating has risen to equal Dan Heng’s 100.

Long Tone of the Distant Horizon

A support-attack skill unlocked by repairing the relevant Astral Express component 45.

  • Requires coordination with Pom-Pom and the Express; Himeko calls for the train to start and launch its attack against transformed Inukai 45.
  • Its displayed description states only: “The will of Trailblaze cannot be stopped.” No numerical specifications are provided 45.

Instance-Drawn Utility Skills

Skill Effect Limits
Mystical Coffee Art Makes coffee brewed in its activated state exceptionally artistic 45. No combat application is established during the park confrontation 45.
Floral Art Grants expertise in potted landscapes and causes greenery she handles to thrive 45. Does not address her immediate combat problem 45.
Invisibility Conceals her from the naked eye for sixty seconds 45. Ends when she takes an attack; thirty-minute cooldown 45.

Engineering, Disguise, and Investigation

  • Engineering knowledge: Receives interstellar navigation and Astral Express maintenance knowledge from her system, records the train’s acceleration and deceleration, and analyzes its remaining mechanical problems 2 5.
  • Technical boundaries: Identifies vehicle repair as her specialty, not advanced hacking. She recognizes that her group lacks the expertise needed to easily eliminate an opponent who can move between Brain-Computer Interfaces throughout a city 89.
  • Makeup and clothing: Retains skills in makeup, clothing coordination, and outfit design associated with the Express’s navigator. She uses clothing taken from corpses and coffee beans to disguise her group before entering a members-only bar 69.
  • Investigation: Studies the behavioral effects of smart chips, distinguishes the poorer residents’ modified and salvaged chips from standard products, and connects Yamada’s cybernetic research to his ambition to travel between worlds 52 88.
  • Operational coordination: Uses information from Shut Up, String Bean, allied contestants, and Huaxia’s commentators to locate targets and identify concealed parts of Yamada’s plan 59 95 96.

Mental and Emotional Resistance

  • Remains unaffected by the Amusement Park’s anger-inducing influence while recognizing and restraining its effect on Himechi Cat 44.
  • Resists being fully controlled by Ali’s Mystic Staff, although the attack still causes mental harm and contributes to her weakened condition 21 22.
  • In the Book-on-Paper Kingdom, the Script attempts to overwrite her memories. A voice within her mind disperses the invading words; the source and general limits of this protection are not established 104.
  • Sunday subsequently intervenes in the Script encounter and removes the imposed plot and characterization from Himechi Cat’s mind. This assistance is distinct from the voice that disperses the words invading Himeko’s own mind 104.

Hazardous Cooking

Himeko’s cooking can become a weapon, despite her reluctance to acknowledge her lack of culinary skill 20 23.

  • Taco’s glasses classify one highly toxic food amalgamation as a level-five danger 20.
  • Weakens Pig Trotter Rice King by contaminating its food with her cooking and additional ingredients, including accidentally added dish soap 23.
  • Exploits the monster’s dependence on deliciousness, reducing its danger level to one before she and Himechi Cat finish it 23.
  • Her offers to cook prompt Himechi Cat to flee and Dan Heng to claim that he has already eaten 93.
  • Her coffee knocks Washana unconscious; Taco endures a cup after activating Harden 100.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Astral Express — Her train and restoration project. It can generate tracks of light and travel without conventional rails, although its warp function is initially unavailable 2 4.
  • Spatial briefcase / suitcase drone — Transforms into a drone carrying an articulated saw arm. It can attack while Himeko is too debilitated to fight effectively herself 2 7.
  • Monomolecular Saw — A highly sharp, heat-radiating weapon that cuts apart the Paradise Wraith, wax figures, and the red-nosed doctor. It also withstands the doctor’s full-force attack without damage 7 11 14 16.
  • Banner Spear — Unlocked after passing the 10% roleplay threshold. Fires yellow energy rounds powerful enough to destroy an incoming bullet and blast through reinforced concrete; Himeko initially struggles to control its output 23 34 36 37 38.
  • Beggars’ Railgun — An improvised Imagenesis weapon whose enormous blast destroys the snake-man and reduces the Haunted House to ruins 33.
  • Wrench — Used during her first failed train repair, to break the ticket checker, and to strike her wax double 1 5 10.
  • Star Rail Pass — Proof of her membership in the Nameless, supplied before she obtains a functioning Express 1.
  • Satellite Blueprint — Obtained after killing Ali 21.
  • Realm Anchor — Contains Trailblaze power and permits travel between locations, even across the stars, once activated. Himeko plants it at the Amusement Park entrance 47.
  • Military Combat Exoskeleton — Reward for the Cyberpsycho achievement. Supplies mechanical strength without requiring limb replacement; the system suggests selling it, but no use or sale is established in the cited passage 53.
  • Pig Trotter Rice Spirit — A summon in her possession that she later presents to Lin En, who declines to purchase it 30 74.
  • Los Angeles funds — Has five hundred million in her account during the Wild Dog Gang investigation. Uses money to bypass guards and later transfers five million to a bar hostess when ordinary asset verification fails 64 69.
  • Lin En’s data chip and account access — Receives a data chip from Lin En and permission to use his account for expenses as part of his support for her operation 74.
  • Starblazer, partial manifestation — By the operation against Inukai and Amir, she can summon part of the Starblazer. This is a later development than her inability to activate it during her initial reunion with Dan Heng 63 96.
  • Script pages — Receives pages upon entering the Book-on-Paper Kingdom and chooses a script that constructs a surrounding world from words. The Script later attempts to impose characterization and overwrite her memories 100 101 104.

Relationships

  • Pom-Pom — The Astral Express’s Conductor and her partner in restoring and operating the train. Pom-Pom worries about her safety, while Himeko reassures it and later coordinates the Express’s support attack through it 4 5 45.
  • Himechi Cat — A wax projection of Himeko’s inner self whom she reshapes and brings aboard. A scan identifies the cat as inheriting her kindness; Himeko protects and upgrades her despite their frequent arguments over how much they resemble one another 12 13 26 30 47. She continues trying to teach the cat elegance and manners, while keeping the full explanation of her origins private when the livestream and surrounding circumstances make disclosure unsafe 64 82 99 106.
  • Taco — Samba Country’s contestant and a continuing exploration partner. Himeko rescues and treats him; his smart glasses supply enemy assessments and clues 10 11 16 25 35. In Los Angeles, he helps evacuate civilians for the operation against Yamada, and later notices that her danger rating has increased to match Dan Heng’s 95 100.
  • Washana — Bear Country’s contestant, rescued and recruited after she attacks Taco. Himeko’s trust eventually inspires her to help others 16 17 25 35. She seeks assistance locating Himeko in Los Angeles and later supports the group’s operation 79 95.
  • Weir — An ally whose deductions expose the Haunted House’s false clearance. He lends Himeko his Chariot for covert communication and an escape option; she returns it afterward 32 33 35. Himeko and Dan Heng find him captive in the Wild Dog Gang’s workroom, and he later accompanies Himeko into the Corporation’s headquarters 64 80.
  • March 7th — A missing Nameless whose Six-Phased Ice Himeko recognizes in the park. Himeko worries especially about her safety and objects to Inukai appropriating her power 27 35 45.
  • Dan Heng — A missing Nameless whom she reunites with during the Mobile Unit pursuit. He protects her stolen hovercar with a dragon-shaped barrier, stays close because her available weapons and abilities remain limited, and works with her to investigate Los Angeles 59 63 64. They coordinate the infiltration of the Corporation and divide their targets between Inukai and Amir; he remains concerned for her safety even after learning that she can summon part of the Starblazer 82 96. He later travels with her to the Book-on-Paper Kingdom, although she finds no information about him in the Script she examines 100 104.
  • WarGreymon — An off-site commentator who provides medical intelligence and counteracts Ali’s ambush by imposing dizziness and blurred vision on him 14 16 21. He later reviews inconsistencies in her pre-instance records and evidence suggesting an earlier connection to the Express, but elects not to pursue the mystery further 63.
  • Wang Wu — A Huaxia commentator whom she contacts for intelligence. He discovers Amir’s suspicious acquisition of advanced cyberware and conveys Huaxia’s request that Himeko collect useful technological information 95.
  • Inukai — A contestant whose offer of allegiance she rejects when it requires harming others. His attempt to exploit the park’s power ultimately makes him a level-six hidden monster whom she confronts 40 43 45. He later operates in Los Angeles with Yamada’s permissions and commands Mobile Unit forces; Himeko identifies him as the conspicuous part of a two-pronged scheme and assigns Dan Heng to confront him 79 80 95 96.
  • Duncan — A temporary associate who supplies a false clue. Himeko pressures him into negotiation rather than killing him and later urges him to leave before the park transforms 41 42 43. In Los Angeles, she permits him to leave but explicitly refuses to let him accompany her and Dan Heng back to the Express 74.
  • Shut Up — A drink-mixing robot obtained through her Guardian Deity draw, despite having no star rating and little expected combat ability. She later installs a brain-computer interface that gives it access to five chip slots 45 49. Its secure systems and hacking assistance prove useful during the Mobile Unit pursuit and the infiltration of the AI Data Center 56 59 82.
  • Lin En — A Los Angeles power broker who agrees to supply materials, Mobile Unit assistance, subordinate forces, and expense-account access for Himeko’s work. He warns her about Yamada, and later admits that he used the city’s upheaval to take control of Los Angeles 74 100.
  • Yamada — The Corporation’s elderly leader and a central adversary in Los Angeles. Himeko recognizes that his cybernetic research serves an ambition to escape into another world, while he views her as evidence of hope beyond his own world’s limits 82 88. After his scheme fails, she hears his explanation and promises to visit the address he provides 100.
  • String Bean — An intelligent ally who clears the contestants’ wanted notices and arranges protected accommodation. Himeko brings him back to the Express, where Dan Heng installs him in a separate, secure section of the Data Bank; she later asks him to locate Inukai 93 95.
  • Sunday — A fellow Nameless encountered in the Book-on-Paper Kingdom. He intervenes during the Script’s attempt to impose its plot, frees Himechi Cat from its influence, and explains the world’s scripted nature 104. He recognizes Himeko’s reluctance to discuss Himechi Cat’s origins publicly and does not press her for an explanation 106.
  • Amir — India’s contestant, whose suspicious receipt of advanced cyberware exposes a concealed element of Yamada’s plan. Himeko forwards his information to her allies and takes responsibility for confronting him with Himechi Cat 95 96.

History

Transmigration and the Express

Before becoming Himeko, she was a girl repeatedly drawing ordinary Himekos from a rate-up banner. The Astral Express emerged from her screen and struck her, transporting her into another world with a roleplaying system 1.

For two months, she tried to fulfill the system’s first mission by obtaining a functioning train. Her attempts to attract funding with coffee failed. She eventually drugged an abandoned station’s guard and attempted repairs using AI instructions, only to set the engine on fire. A beam of light lifted her away when the guard confronted her 1.

Selected as Huaxia’s contestant in the National Destiny world, she received the damaged Astral Express as her vehicle. This completed her startup mission and supplied the knowledge she had lacked during her earlier repairs. She then summoned Pom-Pom and began restoring the train’s functions 2 4.

Later investigation by Huaxia’s authorities finds records of her attempts to acquire a train but no corroborating trace of her supposed earlier movements. WarGreymon considers the possibility that the Express and its scattered passengers had belonged to her before the instance, but chooses not to investigate further. These are outside deductions rather than a disclosure by Himeko of her transmigration 63.

Amusement Park and Allied Contestants

  • Entry and first battle: Reaches the first stop, forces entry into the Amusement Park, and unlocks Imagenesis. Survives multiple countries’ debuffs by using her suitcase drone to kill the Paradise Wraith 5 6 7.
  • Wax Museum encounters: Meets her wax double and Taco, learns that the museum creates visitor-based copies to replace their originals, and eventually remodels her double into Himechi Cat 9 10 11 12 13.
  • Infirmary rescue: Kills the red-nosed doctor, obtains medicine for Taco, and persuades Washana to cooperate despite her attempted attack on him 16 17.
  • Restaurant battles: Kills Ali after his ambush, then defeats Pig Trotter Rice King by attacking the source of its strength—its taste 21 22 23.
  • International alliance: Her cooperation with other contestants helps Huaxia establish an alliance with Samba Country, Bear Country, and the Sun-Setting Empire 25.

Haunted House

  • Recognizes Six-Phased Ice fragments as evidence that March 7th passed through the attraction 27.
  • Burns a monstrous tree and rejects a snake-man’s proposal to surrender Himechi Cat as collateral and lure more players to their deaths 30.
  • Separates from her allies after Weir identifies the apparent clearance as bait, allowing her to fight without endangering them 32 33.
  • Destroys the attraction with the Beggars’ Railgun, earning the achievement that raises her recorded roleplay progress to 14% 33 34.

The Park’s Hidden Monster

  • Returns to the Wax Museum with Taco after escorting Weir and Washana to their exits 35.
  • Defeats hostile wax figures and follows Inukai and Duncan to the hidden quest’s darkroom, where she finds a beating heart fused with Six-Phased Ice 38 40.
  • Warns the others to leave before midnight, when the park transforms into a living, decaying environment 43.
  • Investigates its emotion-linked organs and discovers that contaminated Six-Phased Ice blocks her ordinary attacks 44 45.
  • Unlocks the Express’s support attack and calls on Pom-Pom after Inukai fuses with the visitors’ emotions and appropriates March 7th’s power 45.
  • Subsequently receives the Realm Anchor, plants it at the entrance, and departs aboard the Express 47.

Mist District and Night City

  • Receives a mission to recruit a new passenger or locate a missing Nameless, with the Party Car as its reward. Her attempt to count Himechi Cat again by taking her off and back onto the train is rejected 47.
  • Studies Night City’s implants, upgrades Shut Up, and decides to sell Imagenesis-made goods rather than sell herself or Himechi Cat 49.
  • Draws covert surveillance because her energy resembles that of the wanted criminal Dan Heng 49.
  • Encounters street thugs who threaten to sell her; she disables their leader with the Monomolecular Saw and brings down the first attackers 50.
  • Investigates Los Angeles’s dependence on smart chips and visits an underground black market. After repeated attempts to steal her companions, she identifies a harasser as the wanted criminal Nailhead and kills him publicly with the Banner Spear 52.
  • Earns the Cyberpsycho achievement and its Military Combat Exoskeleton reward. Her subsequent destruction of expensive black-market property draws Bastion, whose combat system strongly advises negotiation rather than fighting her 52 53.
  • Meets the black market’s elderly backer while the Mobile Unit classifies her as a highest-danger outsider possessing martial skill, spatial technology, and a high-energy weapon 56.
  • Flees the Mobile Unit to avoid a battle among civilians, commandeers a hovercar, and follows Shut Up’s route toward Dan Heng. Dan Heng joins the vehicle and raises a dragon-shaped barrier around it 58 59.

Los Angeles Investigation and Yamada’s Scheme

  • Reunion and investigation: Explains her restricted arsenal to Dan Heng. They decide to investigate corporate factions and the smart-chip crisis to increase Exploration Progress rather than immediately return to the Express 63.
  • Wild Dog Gang: Acquires motorcycles after Dan Heng defeats gang members, then uses her substantial funds to bypass guards. In an underground workroom, they find Weir bound to an operating table, and Dan Heng stops a scalpel before it can cut him 64.
  • Disguises and corporate society: Disguises the group and learns from Dan Heng about the Corporation’s trade in extracted happiness and the virtual homes used in capsule apartments. Gains entry to a members-only bar by transferring five million directly to a hostess 69.
  • Lin En’s support: Secures supplies, Mobile Unit assistance, subordinate forces, and account access from Lin En, who warns that Yamada is more dangerous than he appears. Returns to the Express with Dan Heng while refusing Duncan permission to accompany them 74.
  • Wanted status: Acquires a two-billion bounty, matching Dan Heng’s earlier bounty. Despite this, she later walks openly into the Corporation’s building with Himechi Cat and Weir without being stopped by its AI-controlled employees 79 80.
  • Headquarters confrontation: Hears Yamada explain his belief that the world has reached its limit. Her group kills the samurai he sends against them while Dan Heng and Shut Up infiltrate the AI Data Center and discover an upload of Yamada’s highest-authority data 82.
  • Interworld ambition: Questions Yamada about the Nameless and other worlds, then concludes that his Brain-Computer Interfaces, chips, Data Center, and possession research are preparations to escape his own world 88.
  • Technical obstacle: Recognizes that an enemy able to move between the city’s Brain-Computer Interfaces cannot be solved by ordinary combat alone, especially without a specialist such as Screwllum or Silver Wolf present 89.
  • Protected regrouping: Returns to the Express after String Bean clears the contestants’ wanted notices and places them in a guarded hotel. Dan Heng transfers String Bean into a secure, separate area of the Data Bank 93.
  • Counter-investigation: Coordinates with allies evacuating civilians, asks String Bean to locate Inukai, and consults Wang Wu. Information about Amir’s suspicious cyberware lottery reveals a possible second component of Yamada’s plan 95 96.
  • Divided targets: Assigns Inukai to Dan Heng and takes Himechi Cat to deal with Amir, accepting that the targets’ separation prevents Dan Heng from protecting her directly 96.
  • Final confrontation: Remains in control during the confrontation involving Yamada’s enormous robot. By the aftermath, her creation has crushed a Level Eleven Danger, and Taco discovers that her personal danger rating has risen to equal Dan Heng’s 99 100.
  • Departure: Hears Yamada’s account of his failed scheme and promises to visit the address he gives her. At his rooftop residence, she meets Lin En, who admits using the upheaval to take control of Los Angeles. She then departs aboard the Express while considering which recovered technologies are safe to share with Huaxia 100.

Book-on-Paper Kingdom

  • Arrives with Dan Heng and Himechi Cat at a station requiring 50% Exploration Progress to leave and departure within twenty-four hours after progress exceeds 70%. A book carries them inside, where Himeko receives pages and is prompted to choose a script 100.
  • Rejects several dull or villainous options and confirms her selection. Words around her transform into physical scenery, forming a world constructed from text 101.
  • Finds Sunday and Zhou Tiange mentioned in the Script but no information about Dan Heng. Himechi Cat warns that following the Script could make them part of its story 104.
  • Faces an attempt to overwrite her memories, but a voice in her mind disperses the invading words. Sunday intervenes, frees Himechi Cat from imposed plot and characterization, and explains that the inhabitants live according to an author’s scripts 104.
  • Considers Sunday’s suggestion that their apparent resistance might itself be an intended plot twist 104.
  • Avoids explaining Himechi Cat’s complete origins while the livestream is active, intending to speak privately to the Express crew when circumstances permit. Sunday understands her restraint and joins the proposal to explore the world from a tourist’s perspective 106.
