On the way to Manus Metyr Cathedral, Radagon sent word.

Horace had changed the rules governing succession to the Elden Ring, but the Fingers seemed to have no objections.

Radagon told him, "I went and told the Two Fingers about it."

"And?"

"It said, 'Whatever.'"

"'Whatever'?"

"Its exact words. Just 'whatever.'"

Horace imagined the scene: the enormous Two Fingers, old Enia translating beside it, and the message coming from the Fingers was "whatever."

The image was a little bizarre.

"No response from the Greater Will?"

"No commands have come through. It seems the Mother of Fingers is a little at a loss."

Horace said nothing. Whatever the Fingers' reaction, they still had to fight.

If they did not fight now, they would have to later. Rather than leave the trouble to those who came after, they might as well settle it quickly while they had enough fighting strength.

The Land of Shadow, the Church District.

Horace stood before an abandoned cathedral.

Manus Metyr Cathedral. This was the Mother of Fingers' hiding place.

The hint was right there in its name: "Manus" meant "hand." "Metyr" was Metyr.

It was actually pretty obvious.

Looking at the abandoned cathedral, Horace suddenly felt like laughing.

Those ancient people had worshipped the Fingers here and built this structure, never knowing that the object of their worship was right beneath their feet.

Heavy footsteps came from behind him.

Godfrey walked over with his axe on his shoulder and frowned.

"Here?"

"Here."

Without his lion, the Barbarian King had nowhere to vent his fighting spirit. "Where's the enemy? Hurry up, I can't wait!"

Horace told him to be patient. The thing down below was huge.

An enormous shadow swept across the sky. Dragon Lord Placidusax folded his wings and landed nearby.

Flames danced among the ruins.
