"What?!" Garp was shocked when he heard Sengoku's words.
Taking a Celestial Dragon hostage? Even the Fish-Man Fisher Tiger, who had invaded the Holy Land a few years earlier, had only freed the slaves. He hadn't dared harm the Celestial Dragons, much less take one hostage.
"Who had the nerve to do that?" Garp asked curiously.
"We don't know. Apparently, he's a complete unknown." Sengoku rubbed his temples, his head aching. "Once those Celestial Dragons in the Holy Land hear that one of their own has been taken hostage, they'll raise hell with the Five Elders."
"Hmph! With the way those people behave, something was bound to happen sooner or later." Garp looked disdainful, clearly having no patience for the Celestial Dragons' habitual arrogance.
"I know, but they're still the Celestial Dragons, no matter what. We can't just ignore this."
Sengoku shook his head helplessly, then picked up the Den Den Mushi on his desk and dialed a number. "Send Sakazuki and Borsalino to my office."
"Yes, Fleet Admiral!" came the reply from the Den Den Mushi before the call ended.
Garp looked at Sengoku in surprise. "Sending two Admirals at once? Isn't that overkill?"
Sengoku looked helpless. "According to Vice Admiral Lorn's report, the man holding the Celestial Dragon hostage has at least Admiral-level combat strength. If we don't send two Admirals, I'm afraid he'll get away. That would make things even more troublesome."
"Admiral-level combat strength?" Garp raised his eyebrows in surprise. "How could someone that strong be completely unknown? Could Lorn have falsified his report?"
Sengoku shook his head. "We have no choice. Even if the report really is false, we can only send both Admirals at headquarters to make absolutely sure nothing goes wrong."
The Three Admirals were the Marines' strongest fighting force. Sengoku knew that sending two out at once was somewhat unwise, but he had no choice if he wanted to keep the criminal who had attacked a Celestial Dragon from escaping.
Otherwise, if that criminal really escaped, those Celestial Dragons would certainly raise hell with the Five Elders. In the end, the Five Elders would take their anger out on him, and that would only give him an even bigger headache.
Just then, the office door opened, and two middle-aged men wearing Marine justice coats strode inside.
One had a resolute face and wore red, looking extremely stern. The other had short, curly hair and wore a yellow-and-white striped suit with sunglasses, looking rather frivolous.
They were two of the Three Admirals: Akainu Sakazuki and Kizaru Borsalino.
Akainu walked up to Sengoku and said flatly, "Fleet Admiral, you wanted to see us?"
Sengoku nodded. "There's a mission I need you two to handle."
At that, Kizaru immediately put on an exaggerated expression. "Oh, my, my. What mission needs both of us? We're not going to war with one of the Four Emperors, are we?"
"No." Sengoku waved his hand helplessly. "Someone attacked a Celestial Dragon in the Sabaody Archipelago. According to Vice Admiral Lorn, who was protecting the Celestial Dragon, the criminal has the strength of an Admiral. To make absolutely sure nothing goes wrong, I want to send both of you to arrest him."
"Oh, dear. Someone actually dared attack a Celestial Dragon? That's quite a serious incident." Kizaru put on a very shocked expression.
"Understood, Fleet Admiral!"
Akainu nodded coldly, turned, and walked out. To him, every mission was the same. As long as he arrested the criminal and subjected them to justice through execution, nothing else concerned him.
"Let go of me, you lowborn scum! How dare you treat a great Celestial Dragon like this! I'll have you sliced to pieces alive..."
Inside the auction house, Ye Yang kept one foot planted on Saint Charlos, ignoring his curses. He glanced up at the ceiling, which was constantly shedding chunks of rubble, and frowned. "Is it about to collapse?"
The auction house had withstood a blast of his Majestic Destroyer Flame. Although he hadn't used his full power, it was something of a miracle that it had held up this long.
Ye Yang picked up the Celestial Dragon with one hand, raised him high, and then strode outside.
Outside the auction house, a vast crowd had already gathered.
Marines had sealed off the surrounding area completely. Behind them stood curious onlookers drawn by the thunderous explosion, along with some guests who had just left the auction house and stayed to watch.
A sharp-eyed reporter holding a camera spotted a figure slowly emerging from the auction house and immediately exclaimed in excitement, "Look! Someone's coming out!"
"Is that the guy who dared stand up to a Celestial Dragon?"
"Get pictures, quick! This is huge news!"
"Wait, he seems to be holding something up?"
Dust filled the auction house entrance as a figure strolled out, gradually becoming clearer.
All the Marines immediately raised their guns and aimed warily at the figure.
Ye Yang walked out of the dust cloud, appearing clearly before everyone.
As everyone saw what he held high in his hand, their gazes instantly went blank!
"Is... is that... a Celestial Dragon he's holding up?!"
"...He's wearing a bubble helmet... There's no mistaking it. That's a Celestial Dragon!"
"My god, he actually dared take a Celestial Dragon captive! Does he have a death wish?!"
But the shocks weren't over yet.
Ye Yang stopped, swung his right hand, and slammed the Celestial Dragon hard into the ground, making Saint Charlos cry out in pain.
Everyone stared at Ye Yang as though he were a madman.
Quite a few pirates mingling in the crowd widened their eyes at the sight, cold sweat streaming down their foreheads!
"Th-this lunatic! He actually dared hurt a Celestial Dragon! Doesn't he know that'll bring a Marine Admiral here?!"
"D-damn it! Run! A Marine Admiral's coming!"
"Is he trying to get everyone killed?!"
"Hurry to the harbor! We're not going to the New World anymore. We'll head back to the Grand Line first!"
The pirates instantly fell into chaos. After pulling out of the crowd, they raced desperately toward the harbor as fast as they could, wishing their parents had given them a few more pairs of legs so they could run faster.
One told ten, ten told a hundred, and a hundred told a thousand.
In just ten minutes or so, word that Ye Yang had beaten a Celestial Dragon spread throughout the Sabaody Archipelago at a terrifying speed.
Upon learning that a Marine Admiral would be coming, every pirate on the islands fled for their lives, not daring to stay any longer.
For a time, the entire Sabaody Archipelago descended into chaos.
