No matter where Akainu re-formed his body, Susanoo scattered him with a single slash the very next second.
The feeling of having nowhere to hide and no way to dodge left Akainu so frustrated he wanted to cough up blood.
Inside Susanoo, Ye Yang looked down at Akainu, who had re-formed his body yet again, and shook his head in disappointment.
"So this is all a Marine Admiral can do. How disappointing."
"Damn it!" Akainu's voice came through gritted teeth from the flowing magma on the ground. This time, he had learned his lesson. Instead of re-forming his body, he hid in the magma and waited for an opening.
Ding! Congratulations, Master! You have gained 6,000 Negative Points!
"Hm? Too scared to come out?" Seeing that Akainu was no longer re-forming his body, Ye Yang pursed his lips in disappointment. His gaze shifted to the distant Marines, and a strange smile appeared on his lips. "Marines, you're quite an eyesore over there."
Seeing Ye Yang turn his attention toward them, the Marines backed away in terror, their bodies trembling uncontrollably.
"Th-this monster... is he going to kill us?"
"W-we should run! Even an Admiral can't beat that monster. If we stay here, he'll kill us!"
"Run? Where can we run? Do you think we're faster than that monster?"
"Marines, I'll give you two choices. First, resist and die. Second, surrender and be spared." Looking at their frightened faces, Ye Yang's lips curved slightly. "Death or surrender. Make your choice!"
Hearing Ye Yang's words, the Marines exchanged bewildered looks.
None of them knew what Ye Yang was up to or what his purpose was.
One Marine hesitantly stepped forward and asked, "Um, what will happen to those who surrender?"
Ye Yang folded his arms across his chest and looked down at them with a faint smile. "Nothing. Those who surrender can leave immediately."
Hearing this, the Marine hesitated, then gritted his teeth and lowered his weapon.
"Then I... choose to surrender."
Once there was a first, there would be a second and a third.
After a moment's hesitation, the Marines threw down their weapons one after another.
Of the hundreds of Marines, not one chose to fight. Every last one chose to surrender and cling to life.
Within the flowing magma, Akainu witnessed this through his Observation Haki, his face turning livid with rage.
The fiery red magma flowed together to form his body. This time, Ye Yang did not slash him apart, instead watching from above with interest.
The moment Akainu re-formed his body, he raised his right fist, turning it into roiling magma, and hurled a punch at the Marines, his expression ugly as he roared in fury.
"All who surrender, die!"
As a follower of Absolute Justice, he would never allow Marines to surrender to criminals. He would not even tolerate the slightest retreat!
The scorching magma shot out like fiery red fireworks, crossing hundreds of meters in the blink of an eye. Above the Marines, it transformed into an enormous magma hand and reached down to seize them!
The hundreds of Marines watched the sight with despair on their faces.
Just then, an enormous blue blade suddenly slashed down, blocking Akainu's attack.
The terrifying shock wave swept outward, blowing many Marines away, but none were seriously hurt.
"I said those who surrender will be spared." Susanoo leaped forward and landed in Akainu's path. Inside it, Ye Yang looked at Akainu with a cold smile. "Red Dog, that means you can't touch them either!"
"Damn it!" Akainu's face twisted with fury as he looked up and roared, "You're nothing but a criminal, yet you dare act so arrogantly! Die!"
With that, he thrust both magma fists out violently. Streams of fiery red magma shot from them and soared into the sky before falling like a meteor shower of flames.
"Meteor Volcano!"
"Heh, don't blame your men for surrendering just because you're incompetent."
Ye Yang grinned mockingly, not the slightest bit worried as he watched the fiery red rain of magma fall from above.
The enormous Chakra blades in Susanoo's hands suddenly vanished. Its palms came together, and under Ye Yang's control, it rapidly formed hand seals, stopping again after only a fraction of a second.
Ye Yang shouted coldly, "Wood Release: Wooden Ingot Wall!"
Boom!
The ground around Susanoo suddenly burst apart. Huge quantities of wood surged wildly from the earth, interweaving in front of Susanoo. Within moments, they formed an enormous funnel-shaped defensive wall, enclosing Susanoo and the Marines behind it.
Rumble! Rumble!
The rain of magma fell from across the sky and slammed into the enormous Wooden Ingot Wall, exploding continuously. Black smoke spread outward, obscuring everything inside.
The bombardment continued for several full minutes before finally stopping.
The black smoke gradually dispersed, revealing the scene within once more.
The first thing everyone saw was the enormous Wooden Ingot Wall, standing on the ground like an ancient city. Craters of various sizes marked its surface, left by Akainu's Meteor Volcano.
The Wooden Ingot Wall receded, revealing Susanoo and the Marines inside, completely unharmed.
Ye Yang turned to look at the Marines behind him and grinned. "This is the Marine Admiral you've always idolized and served. Now that you've seen what he's really like, how do you feel?"
"So this is a Marine Admiral. This is what the Admiral I always dreamed of becoming and idolized is really like!"
"He tried to kill us just because we surrendered. Is this the righteous Admiral we've always admired?"
"Hahaha! Today, I finally saw the Marines for what they are. I'm quitting the Marines, and I'll never join them again!"
"We're quitting too!"
The Marines all gritted their teeth. After all, they had nearly died at Akainu's hands, and their hatred for the Marines kept rising.
"But simply quitting is nowhere near enough. You should think about your fellow Marines who are still being deceived and kept in the dark. You should go save them!" Looking at the indignant Marines, Ye Yang prepared to add fuel to the fire and immediately said with a cold smile, "At the very least, you have to let them know everything that happened here, so they can see the Marines' true face!"
