"M-meteorite?!"
Vice Admiral Dauber stared in shock at the enormous rock blotting out the sky!
Sengoku froze for a second as well, then snapped out of it, his face livid. "...Damn it, what kind of ability is this?!"
Garp stepped forward, a thick layer of Armament Haki coating his fists, and said gravely, "What kind of ability it is doesn't matter. What matters now is how to stop this meteorite. If we let it fall, with its size... the impact could shatter the entire Sabaody Archipelago!"
A meteorite fell from beyond the sky, and with the gravity accompanying its fall from such a height, even one the size of an ordinary person could cause considerable destruction.
Kaido of the Beasts demonstrated that very point. That suicide-loving madman often liked to jump off Sky Island to kill himself.
With his size and Sky Island's altitude, every fall could destroy buildings within hundreds of meters.
And the enormous meteorite before them was hundreds of meters in diameter, at an altitude far higher than Sky Island. If they let it fall, the entire Sabaody Archipelago would be torn apart in an instant!
Although their abilities were more than enough to let them escape, the civilians on the Sabaody Archipelago had no such ability.
Once the meteorite fell, the number of people on the entire island who could survive... would be vanishingly small!
If they caused such an outcome, they would feel guilty for the rest of their lives!
Many residents of the Sabaody Archipelago noticed the meteorite in the sky. Their expressions changed as they spoke in terror.
"W-what is that?!"
"A... meteorite? Why is a meteorite falling here?!"
"Could... could that criminal have done this?!"
"There's no doubt about it! The Sabaody Archipelago hasn't had a moment's peace since that criminal started fighting!"
"Does that guy want to destroy the entire Sabaody Archipelago?!"
"Phew!" Sengoku took a deep breath. He looked up at the enormous meteorite slowly descending, then turned to Ye Yang and said reluctantly, "Ye Yang, take this meteorite back, and we'll let you leave!"
"What a joke." Standing inside Susanoo, Ye Yang looked down at Sengoku with contempt and sneered. "Don't act as though I couldn't leave without your permission."
The moment they had gotten Akainu and Kizaru, they had wanted to attack him. Now that the situation had turned against them, they wanted him to stop? There was no such thing as a free lunch!
"You!" Sengoku's face turned livid as he looked up and shouted angrily, "Bastard, are you going to take this meteorite back or not? If you insist on this, even if you escape today, I'll have people hunt you down all over the world!"
"Then come." Ye Yang looked at them coldly. Four enormous blue blades formed in Susanoo's four hands, pointing straight at Sengoku and the others. "Or we can fight right here today. Either way, it won't cost me a thing!"
Even if they really fought until Tengai Shinsei fell, nothing would happen to him.
After all, it was his own technique. He couldn't possibly be hurt by his own technique. As for anyone else, what did they have to do with him?
At most, he would go back and save Shakky. He wouldn't spare a thought for anyone who had nothing to do with him.
Sengoku and the others were different. As the Navy's emissaries of justice, they could not tolerate the Sabaody Archipelago being destroyed before their eyes.
"Bastard!" Ye Yang's blatant contempt sent Sengoku into a rage. He clenched his fists, ready to charge in and fight.
But a moment later, a broad, powerful hand settled on his shoulder.
Garp barked, "Sengoku, calm down! What's gotten into you today? You're being even more impulsive than me!"
Hearing Garp's words, Sengoku frowned slightly, then closed his eyes and exhaled, reining in his emotions. When he opened his eyes again, he had regained his composure.
Then he turned to Garp, shook his head, and said calmly.
"Old friend, I'm all right now."
He really had lost his composure somewhat today.
Perhaps it was Ye Yang's provocative words, or perhaps the wretched state of the two Admirals had agitated him, repeatedly sending his emotions out of control and leaving him unable to contain his anger.
"It looks like getting that kid to stop is impossible." Garp took his hand away and frowned at Ye Yang in midair.
"Yes. We'll just have to try it ourselves with everything we've got. But..." Sengoku stared at Ye Yang, a trace of hesitation appearing on his face. "If that guy suddenly launches a sneak attack, we'll be in danger."
"Don't worry. Let me talk to that kid."
Garp grinned, then took a few steps forward to stand at Susanoo's feet. Looking up at Ye Yang, he said, "Hey, young man, could I ask you a favor?"
Ye Yang folded his arms and said with interest, "The Navy's hero is asking me personally? I'm very interested. Let's hear it."
"Hahaha! Here's the thing. We want to stop that meteorite, but Sengoku's afraid you'll launch a sneak attack." Garp scratched his head and laughed goofily. "So I'd like you to do this old man a favor and not attack us in a moment. Could you do that?"
Behind him, Sengoku slapped his forehead in regret at the sight.
This idiot! How could he reveal both my plan and my concerns? Isn't that telling the enemy there's an opportunity to launch a sneak attack on us? Sending him to negotiate was one of the biggest mistakes of my life!
But to Sengoku's surprise, Ye Yang nodded with a faint smile and agreed outright.
"Sure. I'll do you this favor!"
"Thanks, young man!"
Laughing, Garp waved, then turned and walked back to Sengoku, who stood there in a daze.
"Sengoku, he agreed not to attack!"
