"Are you going to Sky Island?" An old woman who looked like a dried plum appeared before them, holding a camera.
Looking at the old woman, Crocodile asked, "Why is the guard of Sky Island an old woman?"
"If you want to enter Sky Island, it's one billion Extol per person." The old woman parted her wrinkled lips and uttered those words.
"What? One billion?" At the mention of money, Nami instantly lost her composure. Money was her life!
Crocodile counted on his fingers. "One billion per person, so seven people makes seven billion."
"What?!! Seven billion?" Nami froze, then asked sheepishly, "Could you give us a discount? Say, a thousand each?"
"Those are the rules," the old woman said. "There's nothing this old woman can do to change them. If you want to enter Sky Island legally, you have to pay."
Nami's eyes darted as she interjected, "Legally? So there's an illegal way too?"
The old woman nodded. "Of course. You can enter Sky Island without paying, too. I'm not a guard, after all."
Without a second thought, Nami controlled the clouds supporting the Skybreaker and flew upward!
Ling'er looked frightened. "Hey, hey, hey, Nami, we didn't pay! That makes this illegal. Someone's definitely going to come arrest us."
Zoro glanced back and asked in confusion, "Why aren't any guards chasing us?"
"Who cares? We saved seven billion of those Extol things anyway." Nami was very happy to have saved seven billion.
Robin spoke up. "Hopefully that witch won't curse us, or we really will die."
"Robin-chan, don't scare me." Ling'er's eyes darted around, terrified that something ominous might appear nearby.
"Heavenly Surveillance Officer Amazon, reporting to the almighty God and the Hall of the Gods. Seven illegal intruders have invaded the Land of God. Please deliver heaven's judgment upon them."
Kuro asked, "You all sensed what that old woman just said, didn't you?"
Inhale~
Exhale~
Crocodile took a drag on his cigar. "Whatever that 'God' is, if he dares attack us, he can become a ghost."
"So this is the real Sky Island? It's beautiful."
Looking at the magnificent scenery before them, everyone marveled that such a beautiful place existed in this world.
Trees took root on white clouds, terraced towns dotted the white ocean, and bridges made of rainbows connected the cloud islands. It was like a dream.
Although Lott had watched the anime in his previous life, seeing such beauty in person still left him awestruck. But they had something more important to do now.
"Let's go. We'll have plenty of time to look later. First, let's meet this so-called 'God' and his 'Priests.'"
Kuro nodded at that. He also wanted to see the man who called himself "God."
Lott activated Super Mantra, easily covering all of Sky Island. After a brief scan, he knew where Enel was.
Lott steered the Skybreaker toward the enormous vine.
"Yahahaha, looks like a few bugs are flying this way." A man wearing a headscarf sat in the seat of honor inside the Shrine, holding a half-eaten apple.
The man was bare-chested, with snow-white skin, firm muscles, and long earlobes that hung down to his chest. Most striking of all were the four "Three Tomoe" drums behind his back.
The man was none other than Enel, the "God" of Sky Island.
"Haha~ Haha~ 'God,' should we intercept them?" A red-haired man shaped like a ball bounced in place.
"No need. They're very fast. They've already reached the foot of the vine." With that, Enel took a bite of his apple.
The Skybreaker flew toward the Shrine at tremendous speed, then slowly came to a stop outside.
A blade flashed, and the Shrine's gates instantly fell into several pieces.
"Hey! Zoro, at least show some manners when you're visiting someone's home."
"Oh! Sorry, sorry."
Enel looked at the seven people who appeared before him. "Yahahahaha, you're the seven intruders, right? What have you come here for, Blue Sea People?"
Ling'er looked at the bare-chested man before her and pursed her lips. "This exhibitionist is 'God'?"
Hearing Ling'er's words, Enel extended a finger, and a bolt of lightning shot toward her at nearly the speed of light.
Everyone was startled. What was that speed? What was that ability?
Ling'er was also shocked. Before she could react, the lightning struck her body, and she turned into a mass of flames.
At the sight, Enel immediately wore his signature expression of astonishment.
The flames gradually turned back into Ling'er. "You scared me to death. You're far too rude."
"You... what's going on with your body?" Enel pointed at Ling'er, his face full of disbelief.
Seeing Enel attack Ling'er, Kuro and the others also took fighting stances.
Lott waved a hand. "Enel, right?"
Only upon hearing Lott's words did Enel slowly turn his gaze toward him. He could now tell that Lott was clearly the one in charge of the group.
"Yes. What is it?"
Lott looked at Enel. "Want to come with me and overthrow this world's true gods?"
Enel looked utterly confused. "True gods? I am God!"
Lott shook his head. "You? You only call yourself 'God' on this tiny Sky Island. The true gods are far stronger than you!"
Enel had never encountered anyone who disparaged him like this. He raised his hand and fired a bolt of lightning.
Boom!
But before the lightning could reach Lott's face, a mass of flames blocked it, causing a violent explosion.
"Hey, hey, hey! How could I let you disturb the king right off the bat?"
Enel looked furious.
"50 Million Volt Thunder Beast!"
Flames engulfed the Thunder Beast, followed by several more violent explosions!
Lott picked up an apple from a nearby plate and took a bite. "There are countless people like you down in the Blue Sea."
"What!?" Enel looked at Lott in disbelief.
Lott frowned slightly, then his eyes lit up. He pointed at Kuro and the others. "I knew you wouldn't believe me. Pick any one of them, then."
At that moment, Shura, one of the Priests standing nearby, could no longer hold back. "Lord 'God,' they're far too rude. Let me teach them a lesson with my 'Ordeal of String.'"
"Shut up! My 'Ordeal of Swamp' is obviously more powerful."
"Let my 'Ordeal of Iron' send them to hell instead."
Zoro frowned. "What are these flies buzzing in my ears? So annoying."
With that, he used Shave and appeared before Ohm. Ohm foresaw Zoro's movement through Mantra, but he could not keep up with his speed.
A blade flashed. A wound opened across Ohm's chest, and he fell to the ground.
Without pausing, Zoro darted around a few more times and brought down the remaining three Priests.
Nami flexed her delicate fists and complained, "That Zoro really loves showing off!"
Enel was somewhat shocked as he watched Zoro sheathe his swords, but that was all.
Then he pointed at Kuro. "Him, then."
Hearing the exhibitionist's words, Ling'er covered her mouth and nearly laughed aloud. "Of all the people he could pick, he actually dared to choose that freak Kuro."
Apart from Lott, Kuro was the strongest in the entire pirate crew.
Kuro adjusted his glasses, raised his head, and asked, "Are you ready, then?"
Enel nodded, turned into lightning, and instantly appeared to Kuro's left.
"50 Million Volt Discharge!"
The lightning pierced Kuro's body with ease. At the sight, Enel lifted his head proudly. "The reason people fear me is that I am God, the thunder they fear most in their lives!"
He was already prepared to receive everyone's praise, only to see Ling'er and the others looking at him with smiles on their lips, as though he were an idiot.
"What's going on?"
