Lin Ze looked back at the illusory formation patterns directly ahead, carefully sensing the space-time fluctuations they emitted.
A moment later, he arrived at a rough hypothesis.
This formation served two functions.
The first was concealment.
It prevented the outside world from observing the existence of these six Shinobi Worlds simultaneously. Whether through sight or perception, everything would be distorted by the formation. To anyone else, this starfield was merely an ordinary stretch of empty space, with only one planet in each planetary orbit.
This was probably why the Ōtsutsuki Clan had failed to discover this peculiar sight for so many years. It was not that the Shinobi World was too remote, but that someone had hidden it with a formation.
The second was division.
Anything from outside that entered one of these pairs of planets would automatically be split in two by the formation and sent into the two parallel Shinobi Worlds.
In other words, if Urashiki Otsutsuki came to this world, the instant he entered the formation, he would be split into two "Urashikis." One would enter the Shinobi World he could see, while the other would enter the concealed parallel Shinobi World.
"No, that's not right..."
Something suddenly occurred to Lin Ze, and a thoughtful glint crossed his eyes.
If it merely divided people, then when this Urashiki left the Shinobi World, the different timelines would mean the two Urashikis would emerge as two separate people. That did not make sense.
