Strawberry is mischievous, outspoken, and fond of teasing. Early in their acquaintance, she makes Huo Yuhao’s unfamiliarity with the Soul Master world an opportunity for playful instruction. Her jokes sometimes overstep: Zhang Lexuan reprimands her after she tells the six-year-old that physical weakness will make girls dislike him 6 21.

Her affection for Huo Yuhao is that of an older sister. She is deeply hurt by his secrecy because she considers him family, but her anger vanishes when she learns that his talent caused him and his mother to be hunted. She immediately offers to avenge them 20.

She takes pride in Shrek Academy and her own abilities, but is unceremonious about food and appearances. Despite growing up with a restaurant’s varied cuisine, she calls Huo Yuhao’s grilled fish the best she has eaten and consumes five fish during their first meal together 5 7.

History

Bringing Huo Yuhao Home

Strawberry belongs to the Shrek group that helps Huo Yuhao after the attack that kills his mother. Her party has been away on an Inspection Corps mission whose round trip takes a month 7 8.

When they reach Shrek City, Zhang Lexuan asks whether Huo Yuhao can stay with Strawberry’s family, since he is not an academy student. Strawberry welcomes him without setting a time limit, introduces him to her parents and Lin Yu, and helps settle him into the rear courtyard of Cao’s Rice Bowl 6.

That evening, she supplies fish, seasonings, and a grill while Huo Yuhao cooks. Seeing his martial soul, she recognizes his potential and decides to tell Zhang Lexuan. She gives him a cultivation notebook before returning to the academy early the following morning 7.

Huo Yuhao’s Secret Soul Ring Hunt

Over the following half-year, Strawberry visits to teach Huo Yuhao and comes to regard him as a younger brother. When he secretly leaves to obtain a Soul Ring, she worries intensely. After his return, she and Zhang Lexuan confront him, with Strawberry twisting his ear while demanding an explanation 20.

Huo Yuhao admits that he has innate full Soul Power rather than the rank six he previously claimed. Strawberry initially takes the deception personally, then learns that his talent led to the persecution of him and his mother. She accepts his determination to seek revenge himself and changes the subject to his new Soul Skill 20.

She is astonished by Spiritual Detection Sharing’s 120-meter range and its potential to grow. Later, at a meal with other Shrek students, she proudly reveals that her six-year-old sworn younger brother has reached rank fifteen 21 23.

Tournament and Family Pressure

Strawberry prepares for the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Soul Fighting Tournament. Shrek wins overwhelmingly under Zhang Lexuan, whose Soul Saint strength leaves Strawberry complaining that she barely has an opportunity to take the stage 19 35.

After the tournament, her parents increasingly pressure her to find a partner. Their repeated nagging makes her reluctant to return home 35.

Far North Expedition

When Huo Yuhao reports a distant call connected to a possible ice-attribute martial soul, Strawberry initially objects to traveling into the dangerous Far North. She quickly fetches Zhang Lexuan, who arranges an escort with Yan Shaozhe and Xian Lin’er. Xian Lin’er carries Strawberry during the journey because her flight speed cannot match the senior cultivators’ 35.

During the expedition, Strawberry explains the competition surrounding the Ice God’s Divine Seat and the demand for ice-attribute Soul Masters. When the party encounters the Three-Eyed Golden Lion and Titan Snow Demon King, she recognizes the former as the Emperor Auspicious Beast 36 37.

A blizzard separates her and Zhang Lexuan from Huo Yuhao. Both women land unharmed, but their search across a hundred miles finds no trace of him. Strawberry remains among the searchers for over a month; when he finally returns, she embraces him in tears 37 47.

Return to Shrek City

On the return journey, Strawberry tests Huo Yuhao’s simulated Restorative Blue Strawberry. She also witnesses his declaration that he wants to study Soul Tools, a wish he had never previously mentioned to her 48.

Back at Cao’s Rice Bowl, she describes her admiration for the Ice God’s successor, whom she glimpsed from afar without realizing that the person was Huo Yuhao. When Aunt Lan demands that she attend Sea God’s Fate and bring home a partner, Strawberry retorts that she can instead stay away and cultivate in seclusion toward Soul Saint 49.
