Stage / Realm / Level Chapter Notes
Below god level; approaching the 900,000-Year Heavenly Tribulation 11 Already the continent’s strongest sub-divine existence. The Silver Dragon King secures Huo Yun’s promise to help him survive his approaching tribulation.
Temporarily empowered by heaven and earth 12 Huo Yun strengthens Di Tian and the accompanying beasts, allowing them to breach the Clear Sky Sect’s concealed space. The blessing has a limited duration inside that space.
Brief god-level strength through external amplification 32 Huo Yun channels the power of heaven and earth into him as he prepares the Dragon God Claw. His attack nevertheless fails to intercept Tang San’s blue-gold ribbon, which passes through both the claw and his body.

Background / History

Di Tian ruled the Star Dou Great Forest before the Sky Azure Bull Python and Titan Giant Ape became gods. They had once served beneath him as gate guardians, gaining their period of dominance only when Di Tian and the other powerful beasts entered seclusion. He also sensed the effects of the God War ten thousand years earlier, despite knowing relatively little about human legends surrounding it 11 12.

Although the Silver Dragon King is the true sovereign of soul beasts, her continued existence is concealed from most of their kind. Di Tian consequently serves as their publicly recognized leader. Almost all soul beasts acknowledge his authority, including the Snow Empress, whose Far North territory remains outside the Star Dou Great Forest’s jurisdiction 27.

Appearance

Di Tian’s human form is a handsome, resolute-looking man approximately two meters tall 30.

  • Build: Broad shoulders 30.
  • Clothing: A black robe patterned in gold 30.
  • Elemental presence: Nearby dark-element energy becomes unusually active around him 30.
  • Dragon form: An enormous black dragon 27.
  • Combat transformation: His human hands become dragon claws radiating multicolored light when he uses the Dragon God Claw 12.

Personality

Di Tian is proud of both his authority as Beast God and his dragon heritage. He privately resents being made to repeat an escort journey and objects to being treated as an errand runner for grilled-fish ingredients. His pride also makes him reluctant to concede that Tang San’s methods could bypass his protection, even after witnessing such a failure 16 17 34.

His pride does not prevent discipline or practical cooperation. He obeys the Silver Dragon King immediately, follows Huo Yun’s instructions despite his irritation, and orders a prompt retreat once Huo Yuhao is recovered. He also respects the Snow Empress’s refusal of outside intervention, acknowledging that he would take the same position if his own territory were attacked 11 14 16 30.

He reveres the Dragon God, initially resisting the suggestion that a human could be nurtured into a comparable existence. Learning that the Dragon God himself imposed the rule preventing soul beasts from becoming gods leaves him shocked and struggling with the contradiction between his sovereign’s achievements and the restriction placed on their descendants 14 33 34.

Abilities & Skills

Dragon God Claw

Di Tian’s strongest technique is a supreme innate art bestowed by the Dragon God upon the Black Dragon Clan. Only successive clan chiefs can inherit it 12.

  • Allows Di Tian to wound a god despite not having attained godhood himself 12.
  • Clashes with the Sky Azure Bull Python’s Azure Sky Annihilation Claw strongly enough to collapse the space between their attacks 12.
  • Can be combined with Huo Yun’s blessing to briefly unleash god-level strength 32.
  • Is not an absolute defense: Tang San’s blue-gold ribbon passes through it without being struck 32.

Dragon Physiology and Elemental Presence

His pure-blooded dragon lineage supports both a humanoid form and an enormous black-dragon form 14 27.

  • Transforms his hands into claws for close combat 12.
  • Moves rapidly enough to become a black shadow and appear behind the Titan Giant Ape in an instant 12.
  • Causes surrounding dark-element energy to become unusually active 30.
  • Can still be injured: Xiong Jun’s Sky-Rending Claw wounded him in the past 12.

Flight, Spatial Breaching, and Perception

Di Tian frequently transports Huo Yuhao and travels between soul-beast territories 18 27 37.

  • Completes a return trip between the Star Dou Great Forest’s edge and core in an instant 16.
  • Helps tear open the Clear Sky Sect’s hidden space with the other beasts under Huo Yun’s blessing 12.
  • Catches Huo Yuhao after the Titan Snow Demon King’s blizzard separates him from his companions 37.
  • Hears spectators speaking quietly from approximately a thousand meters away 39.

Dragon Inheritance and Historical Knowledge

Di Tian possesses inherited knowledge of divine seats and firsthand memories of earlier soul-beast tribulations 16 34.

  • Confirms that Heavenly Tribulations originally tested and strengthened soul beasts rather than being intended to kill them 16.
  • Explains that a divine seat is a manifestation of universal law, not an ordinary object that can simply be moved 34.
  • Recognizes that exposing the Ice God’s Divine Seat will attract human challengers and provoke conflict 33.
  • Is not omniscient: he does not know the Dragon God created the prohibition on soul-beast godhood until Huo Yun reveals it 33 34.

Equipment / Items Distributed

The following items are supplied to Huo Yuhao rather than established as Di Tian’s personal combat equipment.

  • Cultivation-resource storage ring — Contains natural treasures gathered by Di Tian and the other beasts according to Huo Yun’s instructions. Although he estimates one or two years of supplies, the contents are described as lasting a little over a year 18.
  • Gold Soul Coins — Included in the storage ring at Huo Yun’s request, recovered from the Storage Soul Tools of people who died in the Star Dou Great Forest 19.
  • Phantom Morphing Demon Tree mask — Conceals Huo Yuhao’s appearance and prevents spiritual probing of his true face and aura 37 38.
  • Snow-lotus pill storage ring — Given before Huo Yuhao attempts the Ice God’s trial; its pills restore Soul Power and temporarily improve resistance to ice 39.

Relationships

  • Silver Dragon King — His sovereign, whom he addresses as “Supreme Lord.” She negotiates protection for his approaching tribulation and commands him to rescue Huo Yuhao 11.
  • Huo Yun — An ally whose instructions he follows as part of the cooperation between the World Consciousness and soul beasts. He initially doubts her ability to alter Divine Realm rules 16 27.
  • Huo Yuhao — A protected ally whom Di Tian rescues, supplies, and repeatedly escorts. Yuhao addresses him respectfully as “Senior Di Tian” 13 18 37 47.
  • Three-Eyed Golden Lion — The Star Dou Great Forest’s Emperor Auspicious Beast. He explains the cooperation with Huo Yuhao to her and later relies on her ability to locate him through their shared power of destiny 17 36.
  • Snow Empress — A respected regional ruler and ally. He warns her of the Sea God Family’s invasion and offers to protect the Far North during her cultivation 27 30 34.
  • Titan Snow Demon King — An ally grateful for Di Tian’s assistance in guarding the Far North. He readily agrees to help separate Huo Yuhao from his traveling party 36.
  • Xiong Jun and Myriad Demon King — Powerful Star Dou Great Forest beasts who follow him into the Clear Sky Sect rescue operation. Xiong Jun has previously wounded him with the Sky-Rending Claw 12.
  • Sky Azure Bull Python and Titan Giant Ape — Former subordinates who become opponents after abducting Huo Yuhao on Tang San’s behalf 11 12.
  • Tang San — An opposing deity whose interference Di Tian attempts to obstruct alongside Huo Yun 32 34.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Clear Sky Sect Rescue

Huo Yun seeks the Silver Dragon King’s assistance after the Sky Azure Bull Python and Titan Giant Ape abduct Huo Yuhao. In exchange for protection during Di Tian’s approaching tribulation, the Silver Dragon King sends him to lead the rescue 11.

After breaching the Clear Sky Sect’s hidden space, Di Tian demands Huo Yuhao’s release. When an explosion interrupts the confrontation, he attacks the Titan Giant Ape with the Dragon God Claw, only for the Sky Azure Bull Python to block him. His companions join the battle while Electrolux fights Tang San’s attempt to bind Huo Yuhao inside the castle 12 13.

Electrolux ultimately entrusts the child to Di Tian’s group. Di Tian orders their retreat and returns him to the Star Dou Great Forest; the captors acknowledge that they cannot defeat the rescuers without using god-level strength 13 14.

Cooperation with Huo Yun

Di Tian witnesses the negotiations that expand the rescue agreement into cooperation between Huo Yun and the Silver Dragon King. He confirms the original purpose of Heavenly Tribulations but questions whether Huo Yun can change rules imposed by the Divine Realm 16.

He remains present for the Three-Eyed Golden Lion’s assistance in awakening Huo Yuhao’s destiny power. Afterward, he helps interpret the unexpected strengthening of the Auspicious Beast, provides cultivation supplies, and escorts Huo Yuhao to a secluded grove near Shrek City 17 18.

Far North Crisis

At Huo Yun’s request, Di Tian warns the Snow Empress that Tang San’s followers intend to massacre powerful ice-attribute soul beasts. He travels north and relays further intelligence, while respecting her decision to handle the attackers without outside help 27 30.

When Tang San intervenes through divine power, Di Tian attempts to intercept the resulting blue-gold ribbon. Its passage through his attack triggers the Ice God’s Divine Seat’s counterattack, exposing its location. Di Tian then explains the danger posed by incoming human challengers and supports opening the opportunity publicly rather than forcing the Far North to defend it indefinitely 32 33 34.

Ice God’s Inheritance

When Huo Yuhao returns to the Far North, Di Tian arranges a staged confrontation to separate him from his Shrek companions. He catches Yuhao, supplies a concealing mask, and takes him toward the Divine Seat 36 37.

After learning that Bing’er has entered the temple, he brings Huo Yuhao to the Snow Empress so they can pursue her. He supplies the pills needed for Yuhao’s approach through the cold currents, then escorts him out after the Divine Seat is secured 38 39 46 47.

His public association with the heir makes him a potential intermediary for human powers. Xu Jiawei agrees to send an invitation in the Xu family’s name, hoping to reach the newly recognized heir through Di Tian rather than intruding into soul-beast territory 48.
