Arc 2The Portal and the Uchiha

Zongyan uncovered Danzo’s crimes, helped Fugaku rally the Uchiha around the Bloodline Altar, and discovered a portal to the Demon Slayer World. He brought Fugaku and Itachi there to secure resources, while Itachi began learning about the demons and their hunters.

  • Zongyan recognized that Danzo’s rogue-ninja mission was a trap, but he and his squad survived repeated ambushes and captured Kawano Shinji.
  • Kawano told Zongyan that Konoha’s leadership had seized Kushina’s assets and that Danzo and Orochimaru had experimented on Uchiha, and Zongyan helped fake Shinji’s death and brought him to Fugaku.
  • Fugaku convened the Uchiha Jonin, who verified Shinji’s memories and exposed Shisui’s opposition, and Zongyan then revealed the Bloodline Altar and its power to awaken the Uchiha bloodline.
  • Zongyan proposed a contribution-point system, and the clan adopted it, increasing its storehouse reserves, and the Altar later awakened three tomoe in Zongyan’s Sharingan.
  • Zongyan used his draw to obtain the Multiverse Portal, entered the Demon Slayer World, met Tanjiro, and killed the Hand Demon before capturing another demon to take back for study.
  • Zongyan delivered the captured demon to Yashiro at the Uchiha outpost, then returned to Konoha and urged Itachi to keep persuading the imprisoned Shisui to use Kotoamatsukami for the clan.
  • Zongyan told Fugaku and Itachi about the Demon Slayer World and proposed using Shisui’s Kotoamatsukami to control Muzan and the demons, and Fugaku agreed to travel through the portal with them.
  • Zongyan brought Fugaku and Itachi to Mount Fujikasane, where they agreed to control different countries and collect iron tribute, and Itachi used genjutsu on Yamada Tarō and learned about Japan’s demons and Demon Slayer Corps.
Chapters 26–50 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 26Fairly targeting Danzo

Uchiha Zongyan used strict enforcement against Shimura relatives to exploit Danzo’s fear of damaging his reputation, steadily weakening the Shimura Clan’s standing in Konoha. Unable to retaliate openly, Danzo ordered Root to find information on Missing-nin far from the village, preparing to target Zongyan outside Konoha.

  • Zongyan realized that his lawful arrest of Shimura Hongyu had earned the Uchiha a prime South Street shop as compensation from Danzo.
  • Zongyan ordered his squad to enforce every regulation strictly against the Shimura Clan and Danzo’s relatives while treating other minor offenses leniently.
  • The Shimura Clan’s repeated public punishments fueled village gossip, damaged Danzo’s reputation, and drove allied smaller clans away.
  • Danzo considered using Root to kill Zongyan but held back because a public retaliation could ruin his bid for the Hokage position.
  • Danzo ordered a Root operative to find the locations and information of Missing-nin who were far from Konoha.

Ch. 27Transferred out of the village to hunt a rogue ninja

Danzo persuaded Hiruzen Sarutobi to send Uchiha Zongyan and his squad out of Konoha to hunt a rogue ninja, hoping to remove Zongyan and restore the leadership’s authority. Zongyan accepted the order, while Fugaku arranged covert protection and Uchiha Itachi offered to join the mission.

  • Danzo presented a rogue ninja threat and argued that Uchiha Zongyan should lead a squad to capture him, claiming the mission would serve Konoha and restore the leadership’s prestige.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi issued an urgent order for Zongyan’s squad to leave the village the next morning and eliminate the rogue ninja at the Land of Fire’s border.
  • Fugaku gave Zongyan the transfer order, and Zongyan recognized that Danzo intended to target him outside the village.
  • Fugaku promised to send two veteran Jonin from the clan to secretly protect Zongyan and his squad.
  • Uchiha Itachi hurried to the Clan Grounds and offered to take leave from Anbu to accompany Zongyan, who reassured him that Fugaku had arranged protection.

Ch. 28Ambush in the Dense Forest

Zongyan led Takuma, Naoki, and Yuta toward the border, where rogue ninja ambushed them in a dense forest. Uchiha Kiyoshi and Uchiha Makoto intervened, but one attacker still targeted Zongyan and vowed to kill him.

  • Zongyan refused Itachi's offer to accompany him and reassured Itachi and Uchiha Mikoto before leaving Konoha.
  • At the gate, Zongyan warned Takuma, Naoki, and Yuta that Danzo had arranged the mission to target him.
  • The squad noticed the forest's unnatural silence, and Zongyan identified an ambush before leading them inside in formation.
  • Rogue ninja trapped the squad with earth walls, kunai, wind blades, and fire attacks, but Zongyan used his Great Fireball Technique to shield them.
  • Uchiha Kiyoshi and Uchiha Makoto arrived, countered the attacks, and exposed the three rogue jonin hidden in the forest.
  • One rogue ninja focused on Zongyan and threatened to kill him despite the Uchiha jonin's protection.

Ch. 29A deadly struggle in the dense forest: total annihilation

Uchiha Zongyan used Murasame to kill the rogue Jonin and Genin threatening his team, then joined Uchiha Makoto and Uchiha Kiyoshi to defeat the remaining enemy. After the battlefield fell silent, he promised the weapon-loving Kiyoshi a divine weapon if he found another of equal quality.

  • Zongyan cut the rogue Jonin with Murasame, whose curse killed him before he could attack again.
  • Zongyan rescued Takuma and the other two teammates by wounding the rogue Genin with Murasame, then told them to rest and keep watch.
  • Zongyan joined Uchiha Makoto and killed the Jonin they were fighting with a shallow cut from Murasame.
  • Zongyan and Makoto reinforced Uchiha Kiyoshi, and the three Uchiha overwhelmed and killed Kiyoshi's opponent.
  • Uchiha Kiyoshi admired Murasame, and Zongyan promised to give him a weapon of equal quality if he found one before returning to his teammates.

Ch. 30Mission target successfully captured

After enduring Root’s relentless attacks, Zongyan’s squad reached a remote village and captured the rogue ninja Kawano Shinji. Zongyan began questioning him about his desertion, but rejected Root’s account of the reasons.

  • Root continued harassing the squad with ambushes, poison, and explosive tags as they traveled toward their destination.
  • The exhausted squad reached a remote village, rested for a day, and then resumed their mission to find the rogue ninja.
  • Zongyan’s group found Kawano Shinji working in a small eatery, and he tried to flee when he recognized their Konoha headbands.
  • The two Uchiha Jonin, Zongyan, and the others subdued Kawano Shinji and sealed his chakra.
  • Zongyan questioned Kawano Shinji about deserting Konoha, and Kawano said Root’s records already contained the answer.
  • Zongyan said he did not trust Danzo or Root’s stated explanation for the desertion.

Ch. 31The truth behind the defection

Kawano Shinji explained how Konoha condemned him both for saving comrades at the expense of a mission and for abandoning comrades to complete one, driving him to defect. Zongyan then offered to consider letting him go in exchange for useful secrets about Konoha, despite his squad’s objections.

  • Zongyan told Kawano Shinji that he distrusted Danzo and asked why he had defected.
  • Kawano Shinji recounted how Konoha punished him for rescuing comrades and later condemned him for abandoning them to complete a mission.
  • Kawano Shinji described how the village’s contradictory judgments destroyed his faith and led him to flee Konoha.
  • Zongyan asked whether Kawano Shinji knew other hidden secrets from his years in the Anbu.
  • Zongyan offered to let Kawano Shinji go if his information proved useful, and dismissed his squad’s protests about their mission.

Ch. 32An opportunity to unite the Uchiha

Kawano Shinji revealed that Konoha's leadership had plundered Kushina Uzumaki's resources and that Danzo and Orochimaru had subjected villagers and Uchiha, including Uchiha Xuan, to human experiments. Seeing Shinji's memories as a chance to unite the divided Uchiha, Zongyan decided to keep him alive and fake his death before taking him to the clan compound.

  • Kawano Shinji accused Hiruzen Sarutobi and Konoha's leadership of seizing Kushina Uzumaki's assets and revealed Danzo's human experiments with Orochimaru.
  • Shinji said Uchiha clansmen had been experimented on and named Uchiha Xuan, whom the village had declared dead in the Third Shinobi World War.
  • Shinji offered to let the Uchiha examine his memories as proof, and Zongyan recognized that the revelations could unite the clan's factions.
  • Zongyan decided Shinji must live and asked Uchiha Makoto and Uchiha Kiyoshi how to make Konoha believe Shinji was dead.
  • Makoto and Kiyoshi proposed using a mutilated, chakra-marked corpse and coordinating their mission report, and Zongyan told Shinji to cooperate.

Ch. 33Returning to Konoha and attending the clan meeting

Zongyan returned to Konoha with Kawano Shinji alive, after his team faked the target’s death to complete the mission. He told Fugaku about Shinji’s claims of Uchiha abductions and Danzo’s experiments, then brought him to Naka Shrine for the clan meeting as the Uchiha debated worsening pressure from the village.

  • Uchiha Makoto and Uchiha Kiyoshi altered a similar-looking corpse, adding Kawano Shinji’s tissue and ninjutsu traces so Uchiha Takuma could report the mission complete.
  • Zongyan smuggled Shinji into the clan grounds and told Fugaku that the Third had taken Kushina’s estate, Danzo was conducting human experiments with Orochimaru, and Anbu had abducted Uchiha for the laboratory.
  • Fugaku told Zongyan to bring Shinji to the regular clan meeting so the clan could verify the allegations.
  • Zongyan carried Shinji in a sack to Naka Shrine, where Fugaku convened about twenty Uchiha Jonin beneath the shrine’s main hall.
  • Uchiha Yashiro reported that clan income and village supply allotments had fallen, while Uchiha Tekka accused the village of deliberately targeting the clan.

Ch. 34Capturing Shisui at the clan meeting

At the clan meeting, Fugaku revealed evidence that Root had abducted Uchiha and used them for human experimentation, then declared the clan had the strength to act against Konoha. He ordered a purge of suspected traitors and captured Shisui, leaving the clan demanding an explanation.

  • Fugaku told the assembled Uchiha jonin that he had long resented Konoha but had previously urged restraint because the clan lacked strength.
  • Fugaku had Zongyan bring in rogue ninja Kawano Shinji and revealed that his memories implicated Root in abducting Uchiha for human experimentation.
  • Uchiha Inabi, Uchiha Tekka, and Uchiha Yashiro examined Kawano Shinji's memories with their Sharingan and confirmed they were genuine, enraging the gathered clan members.
  • Shisui Uchiha resolved to consult the Hokage, while Fugaku and Zongyan watched the crowd for suspicious clansmen.
  • Fugaku announced that traitors had to be dealt with, then attacked Shisui as Zongyan's group restrained several other silent members of the crowd.
  • The Uchiha pinned Shisui down and sealed his chakra, prompting Tekka to question Fugaku about Shisui and his newly revealed Mangekyō.

Ch. 35The Uchiha in an Uproar

Fugaku and Zongyan led the loyal Uchiha Jonin into the Secret Chamber beneath Naka Shrine and revealed the Bloodline Altar’s powers. The clansmen learned it could strengthen their bloodline and grant Mangekyō awakenings, leaving them ecstatic at the prospect of the Uchiha Clan’s rise.

  • Fugaku ordered Zongyan and the others to knock out and bind the Uchiha who opposed them, preventing them from reporting what they had heard.
  • Zongyan opened a hidden passage and led Fugaku and the loyal clansmen through the trapped chamber to the ancient Altar.
  • Zongyan identified the Altar as the Bloodline Altar and said it could purify the Uchiha bloodline across generations.
  • Zongyan revealed that enough minerals could activate the Altar fragment and allow one bloodline awakening each month without side effects, potentially giving even ordinary people the Mangekyō within a year.
  • Zongyan showed his two-tomoe Sharingan and said he had never experienced extreme emotional upheaval, convincing the gathered clansmen of the Altar’s power.
  • Uchiha Yashiro, Uchiha Tekka, Inabi, and the other Jonin erupted in excitement over the Uchiha Clan’s newfound opportunity.

Ch. 36The Uchiha Contribution System

After the Uchiha learned about the Bloodline Altar, Fugaku and the Clan Elders inventoried the clan’s assets and struggled to decide how to allocate its monthly awakening opportunity. Zongyan proposed a family contribution system, and the elders began discussing how to use it to distribute awakenings, resources, and techniques.

  • Fugaku warned the Uchiha Jonin to keep the Altar secret, and the clan members swore to protect its secret and restore the clan’s glory.
  • Fugaku and the three Clan Elders worked through the night to inventory the Uchiha Clan’s assets, then debated how to allocate the Altar’s monthly awakening opportunity.
  • Yashiro suggested asking Zongyan for advice, and Tekka rushed to wake him and bring him to the front hall.
  • Zongyan proposed awarding family contribution points for clan service and giving the monthly awakening opportunity to the member with the most points.
  • Yashiro, Inabi, and Tekka suggested using contribution points to exchange for clan resources and techniques, while Fugaku said the system could strengthen trust and unity.

Ch. 37The Uchiha contribution craze

Fugaku introduced the Uchiha Clan Contribution System, which let clan members earn points for their efforts and exchange supplies for resources. The first day of exchanges drew a huge crowd and greatly increased the clan storehouse’s reserves, leaving Fugaku pleased by the clan’s newfound stock of forging materials.

  • After three days of refining the rules, Fugaku announced the contribution system to the Uchiha Clan’s core Jonin, who approved it and vowed to work for the clan.
  • Fugaku declared that the system would take effect immediately and that the exchange rules would be posted at the inner storehouse the next day.
  • Zongyan and Fugaku found more than three hundred Uchiha gathered in an orderly queue to exchange scrolls, supplies, and other goods for contribution points.
  • Uchiha Yashiro and the clan stewards processed exchanges throughout the day, while clan members traded their contributions for resources.
  • Yashiro reported to Fugaku and Zongyan that the storehouse reserves had risen by fifty percent after exchanges, including large stocks of iron and black gold ingots.

Ch. 38Before He Knew It, He Already Had Three Tomoe!

Uchiha Zongyan used the clan altar to awaken his Three-Tomoe Sharingan, impressing the Uchiha gathered to witness it. After realizing later awakenings would require vast resources, he planned to discuss taking control of the Land of Rice Fields with his father so the clan could mine his iron deposit.

  • Zongyan asked Uchiha Fugaku to let him use the clan altar, and Fugaku agreed to give him that month's opportunity.
  • Yashiro, Uchiha Inabi, and Uchiha Tekka activated the altar with a hundred tons of rough iron ingots while the Uchiha jonin watched.
  • The altar's light enveloped Zongyan, and he awakened three tomoe in his Sharingan.
  • Zongyan told the gathered ninja that his vision was clearer and his chakra had increased, and Yashiro ordered everyone to keep the event secret.
  • Zongyan estimated that awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan might require a thousand tons of iron and considered using his stored iron mine.
  • Zongyan decided to propose taking control of the Land of Rice Fields to Fugaku the next morning so the Uchiha could mine the iron there.

Ch. 39The Uchiha development plan

Zongyan proposed using a secret iron mine in the Land of Rice Fields to strengthen the Uchiha, and Fugaku approved the plan and organized its implementation. During patrol, Zongyan’s team heard villagers mock the clan’s losses, and Takuma struggled to contain his anger over his father’s reported death.

  • Zongyan told Fugaku that the iron mine could be placed wherever they chose and proposed secretly controlling a small country to mine and transport its resources.
  • Zongyan recommended the Land of Rice Fields as a discreet foothold, and Fugaku agreed to plan the operation with Yashiro and the other clan leaders.
  • Fugaku briefed the three Clan Elders, Yashiro, Tekka, and Inabi, and they agreed to secretly establish control and select reliable personnel.
  • While patrolling South Street, Zongyan, Takuma, Naoki, and Yuta overheard villagers criticizing the Uchiha’s contribution system and deaths.
  • Takuma nearly confronted the speakers, but Naoki and Yuta restrained him, and Zongyan continued the patrol knowing Takuma’s father had been reported killed in action.

Ch. 40Multiverse Portal

Eight-year-old Uchiha Zongyan used his monthly system draw and won an ink-black Multiverse Portal that could establish permanent passages to other worlds. He began imagining how the Uchiha Clan could explore those worlds and bring back their resources and techniques.

  • Zongyan checked his system panel and saw that he had one draw remaining.
  • The system explained that draw prizes improved with the clan’s overall strength, which had grown through iron shipments and Altar awakenings.
  • Zongyan used his monthly draw and won the ink-black Multiverse Portal.
  • He read that the portal could open a permanent passage to another world, refresh a new world every three years, and conceal travelers’ original-world coordinates.
  • Zongyan considered how the Uchiha Clan could explore worlds such as Demon Slayer, One Piece, and Bleach, and bring back their techniques and resources.
  • Zongyan celebrated his extraordinary draw and wondered what an amber item could offer.

Ch. 41The first step in a journey to another world

Zongyan used Hachi’s help to reach an abandoned Fuma Clan base and materialized the Multiverse Portal there. He stepped through its world-specific door into a silent, unfamiliar forest, where a sweet floral scent led him onward.

  • Zongyan summoned Hachi and learned that Cat Granny might have access to old Fuma Clan teleportation arrays in the Land of Rice Fields.
  • Hachi transported Zongyan to an abandoned Fuma Clan base, then returned home while Zongyan checked that the area was deserted.
  • Zongyan materialized the Multiverse Portal, bound it to himself, and watched it form a smaller door for another world.
  • Zongyan stepped through the smaller door and arrived in a chilly mountain forest where his chakra still worked.
  • Zongyan drew Murasame after noticing the forest’s unnatural silence, then followed a sweet fragrance through the shrubs and was stunned by what he saw.

Ch. 42Plans in the Demon Slayer World

Uchiha Zongyan arrived at Mount Fujikasane and confirmed that he had entered the Demon Slayer World after encountering Tanjiro Kamado during the Final Selection. He left Tanjiro and began planning to control Muzan and bring an army of demons back to the Shinobi World.

  • Zongyan spotted Tanjiro Kamado fighting a six-armed demon and watched him sever its neck.
  • Zongyan asked Tanjiro whether they were on Mount Fujikasane, gave him Wound Medicine, and introduced himself as Uchiha Zongyan.
  • Tanjiro told Zongyan that many demons remained on the mountain and identified himself before Zongyan continued on alone.
  • Zongyan confirmed that he was in the Demon Slayer World and considered combining Uchiha Swordsmanship with Breathing Styles.
  • Zongyan decided that controlling Muzan could let him command the demons and imagined bringing a hundred thousand of them to the Shinobi World.

Ch. 43A test against demons

Muzan’s latest experiment failed, and he unexpectedly sneezed before ordering Nakime to replace the materials. On Mount Fujikasane, Zongyan joined Tanjiro and they encountered the demon that had killed Sabito and Makomo, leaving Tanjiro injured and Zongyan holding his sword.

  • Muzan’s medicine turned the cells in a test tube gray and lifeless, and he overturned his laboratory table after sneezing.
  • Zongyan found Tanjiro and the short, plump boy tending their wounds, then agreed to accompany Tanjiro toward the mountainside.
  • Tanjiro sensed a demon and rushed to save a selection candidate from its many arms.
  • The demon recognized Tanjiro’s fox mask, revealed that it had killed Sabito and Makomo, and provoked Tanjiro into attacking recklessly.
  • The demon struck Tanjiro and sent him flying, but Zongyan caught him and picked up his Nichirin Blade.

Ch. 44The demon who wanted to die and Tanjiro

Zongyan defeated the Hand Demon and learned that its regeneration weakened when its energy ran low. After returning Tanjiro’s sword, he left Mount Fujikasane and captured another demon to take through the Multiverse Portal to the Shinobi World.

  • Zongyan protected the injured Tanjiro and effortlessly cut apart the Hand Demon’s attacks, then tested how many times it could regenerate.
  • The exhausted Hand Demon begged Zongyan to kill it, and Zongyan beheaded it before concluding that a demon’s regenerative energy was limited.
  • Tanjiro prayed for the Hand Demon’s victims, reclaimed his Nichirin Blade, and heard Zongyan explain that he was leaving to reassure his family.
  • Zongyan said goodbye to Tanjiro and headed through the demon-filled forest, deciding to capture a demon for his clansmen to study.
  • Zongyan subdued a demon attacking a boy, bound it with rope, and carried it into a secluded part of the mountain.
  • Zongyan summoned the Multiverse Portal and stepped through with the captured demon.

Ch. 45Daily life in the Land of Rice Fields

Uchiha Zongyan returned from the Demon Slayer World with a captured demon and brought it to Uchiha Yashiro at the clan’s outpost in the Land of Rice Fields. After leaving the demon for study and learning that the clan’s covert control of the land remained undetected, Zongyan urged Yashiro to continue strengthening the clan before returning home.

  • Zongyan confirmed the captured demon had survived the transfer between worlds and traveled to the Uchiha outpost in the Land of Rice Fields.
  • Uchiha Ren and Uchiha Toru praised Zongyan’s contributions and discussed whether he might someday become Clan Head over Itachi.
  • Zongyan delivered the demon to Uchiha Yashiro and explained that it regenerated by feeding on humans.
  • Yashiro proposed feeding the demon condemned criminals so he could test its abilities and put them to use.
  • Yashiro briefed Zongyan on the Land of Rice Fields, and Zongyan told him to maintain their plans while the clan grew stronger.
  • Zongyan used the Reverse Summoning Technique to return to the clan.

Ch. 46Danzo's conspiracy

Danzo ordered Root to investigate the Uchiha after their repeated arrests of Shimura clansmen. Meanwhile, Zongyan brought Itachi to visit the imprisoned Shisui, where Itachi revealed that he had always worked in the Anbu for the Uchiha Clan.

  • Danzo learned that Uchiha Zongyan had detained Shimura clansmen for the ninth time that month and ordered Root to monitor every Uchiha and track the clan's supplies.
  • After finishing his Police Force shift, Zongyan met Itachi, who had returned from an Anbu rotation and asked to see Shisui.
  • Zongyan warned Itachi that Shisui remained dangerous despite having his chakra sealed, then escorted him to the secret chamber where Shisui was restrained.
  • Itachi told Shisui that he still believed Konoha's high command had committed crimes against the Uchiha, and Shisui questioned whether Itachi had changed his former convictions.
  • Itachi said his younger brother had made him value his family and clan above the village's greater cause, and revealed that he had joined the Anbu to gather intelligence and protect the Uchiha.

Ch. 47Itachi and Shisui's confrontation

Itachi confronted Shisui over his plan to prevent an Uchiha coup and challenged the village-first assumptions behind it. Shisui revealed his Mangekyō ability, Kotoamatsukami, and Itachi left him questioning whether his proposed solution was just.

  • Shisui feared that an Uchiha coup would bring war to Konoha and invite attacks from the other great villages.
  • Itachi argued that the Uchiha might gain enough power to defeat an entire shinobi village, then asked whether Shisui had a bloodless way to stop the unrest.
  • Shisui revealed that Kotoamatsukami could permanently rewrite a target's will without their awareness.
  • Shisui said he had planned to use Kotoamatsukami on Clan Head Fugaku to make him abandon the coup and preserve both the Uchiha and Konoha.
  • Itachi argued that changing Fugaku's will would not erase the clan's persecution and asked why Shisui would not use the jutsu on Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo instead.
  • Shisui rejected manipulating Konoha's rulers as an assault on the village, while Itachi condemned his willingness to alter the Uchiha clan head's will.

Ch. 48The Demon Slayer World Awaiting Development

Itachi challenged Shisui Uchiha's loyalty to Konoha, leaving him questioning his convictions while Zongyan urged continued efforts to win him over. Zongyan then revealed a gateway to another world to Fugaku and Itachi and began explaining its demons and potential resources for the clan.

  • Itachi accused Shisui Uchiha of selfishness and left him questioning why he had considered altering Clan Head Fugaku's thoughts but not Lord Third's.
  • Zongyan urged Itachi to keep persuading Shisui Uchiha so that Kotoamatsukami could become an asset to the clan.
  • Zongyan told Fugaku and Itachi that he had visited another world and proposed using its resources to support the Uchiha Clan.
  • Zongyan clarified that the gateway led beyond the Shinobi World, and Fugaku stopped Itachi from pressing him about its secret origins.
  • Zongyan described the Demon Slayer World, its lack of chakra and ninjutsu, and the conflict between man-eating demons and Demon Slayers.
  • Zongyan explained that Muzan Kibutsuji had lived for a thousand years and could use his blood to create demons with powerful bodies, healing abilities, and strange powers.

Ch. 49Explaining the Demon Slayer World to Uchiha Itachi

Zongyan explained the Demon Slayer World’s powers and dangers to Fugaku and Itachi, then proposed using the Sharingan to control its rulers and having Shisui use Kotoamatsukami on Muzan. After Fugaku and Itachi agreed to pursue the plan, Zongyan summoned the portal and Fugaku prepared to travel with him and Itachi.

  • Zongyan described demons’ weaknesses and explained that peak demon slayers could reach Kage Level strength, though most who unlocked the Transparent World died before turning twenty-five.
  • Fugaku questioned whether the Uchiha could safely exploit the Demon Slayer World, and Zongyan explained that ordinary people controlled its countries, armies, and wealth.
  • Itachi realized the Uchiha could use genjutsu to take control of the rulers, while Zongyan proposed controlling Muzan with Shisui’s Kotoamatsukami and commanding the demons.
  • Itachi worried that Shisui, who was imprisoned and still loyal to the Will of Fire, would refuse to cooperate, so Zongyan asked him to persuade Shisui patiently.
  • Itachi agreed to try to win Shisui over, and Zongyan summoned the Demon Slayer World portal.
  • Fugaku agreed to travel through the portal with Zongyan and Itachi after leaving a letter for his wife and the Clan Elders.

Ch. 50The Shinobi World's Trio Takes Action

Zongyan, Fugaku, and Uchiha Itachi entered a chakra-less world and agreed to control its rulers and collect iron tribute. Itachi reached Japan, learned about demons and the Demon Slayer Corps by using genjutsu on a woodcutter, and began planning his next move.

  • Zongyan brought Fugaku and Uchiha Itachi to Mount Fujikasane in another world, where they found no chakra.
  • The three agreed to split up, use genjutsu to control the rulers of different countries, and meet again in a month.
  • Fugaku proposed that each country provide tribute equal to twenty percent of its iron output every three months.
  • Itachi traveled through the forest and used his Sharingan genjutsu to learn about Japan from a woodcutter named Yamada Tarō.
  • Itachi discovered that demons preyed on people and that the secret Demon Slayer Corps hunted them with Nichirin Blades.
