Main World.
Year 27 of Konoha, winter.
Above Mechanical City, Mechanical Star.
Missiles were still flying. Not the first wave, but the third. Mechanical City's missile silos had never stopped working, launching one after another, wave after wave, their silvery-white exhaust tracing countless parallel white lines across the gray-blue sky. Armor-Piercing Warheads struck Yanchuang, bursting into clusters of dazzling white light; High-Explosive Warheads detonated beneath his feet, throwing up waves of scorching air; Sealing Warheads exploded around him, turning into countless fine rune chains that tried to bind his limbs; Disruption Warheads burst beside him, releasing dense clouds of chakra-disrupting dust.
They were useless. Warheads struck him like pebbles dropped into a deep pool, raising only ripples without leaving the slightest mark. His surrounding force field easily pushed aside the blasts from the exploding warheads. Rune chains wound around his arm; with a slight shake, he shattered them inch by inch. Disruption dust filled the air around him; he drew a deep breath, and the dust was blown away. He stood there without a single crease in his white robe.
Ōtsutsuki Yandō. The Main Family. The Rinnegan. His body was strong enough to take a Tailed Beast Bomb head-on without injury. Before him, the Empire's missiles were nothing but an "itch."
Ōtsutsuki Raiga stood behind him, his gray-white hair disheveled by the blasts. The blue markings around his Thunder Scorch Byakugan flickered faintly, his breathing was rapid, and fine beads of sweat seeped from his forehead. He did not fear the missiles; his Lightning Release Armor could block them. But what concerned him was "expenditure." He had used Light-Speed Instantaneous Charge once just now, and his stamina had dropped by twenty percent. At this rate, he would collapse from exhaustion before the Dubhe Battle Group even needed to act.
