Otsutsuki Toneri joined Akatsuki’s hunt for the tailed beasts while steering Sasuke, Tsunade, and Hanabi toward his plans. The arc ended with Hanabi awakening the Tenseigan and Toneri directing Black Zetsu to lead Kabuto Yakushi to Madara Uchiha’s corpse.

• Sasuke left Naruto behind to pursue power, while Otsutsuki Toneri comforted Naruto and renewed his resolve to bring Sasuke back.
• Otsutsuki Toneri joined Obito Uchiha’s Akatsuki plan, then returned to Kirigakure and prepared Mei Terumi for the coming conflict.
• Otsutsuki Toneri visited Sasuke in Otogakure, revealed that Uchiha Itachi had killed the Uchiha Clan under Konoha’s orders, and urged Sasuke to keep training before facing him.
• At the Akatsuki meeting, Pain assigned Otsutsuki Toneri and Konan to capture the Two-Tails and Six-Tails, while Toneri revived Pakura and later faced Naruto in Sunagakure.
• Tsunade attacked Danzo over the Senju Clan’s destruction, fought Jiraiya and Konoha’s forces, then escaped and agreed to join Akatsuki for revenge.
• Hanabi Hyuga left Konoha with Otsutsuki Toneri, who promised her the Tenseigan, while Sasuke continued searching for Itachi and remembered Naruto’s grief.
• Otsutsuki Toneri transformed Hanabi’s bloodline, and three days later she awakened the Tenseigan before returning with Toneri and Pakura to Kirigakure.
• Otsutsuki Toneri told Black Zetsu to guide Kabuto Yakushi to Madara Uchiha’s corpse so Obito Uchiha could find him.

Otsutsuki Toneri rebuilt Akatsuki, gathered powerful allies, and declared war on the Five Great Hidden Villages while Obito sought the villages’ help against him. As Toneri’s forces attacked Konoha, Sasuke fought Kakashi until Naruto arrived to stop Sasuke’s arrow.

• Otsutsuki Toneri captured Killer B and the Eight-Tails at Kumogakure, then went to the Uchiha hideout to witness Sasuke confront Itachi.
• Sasuke fought Itachi, who sealed Orochimaru with the Totsuka Blade before dying, and Toneri brought Sasuke to Amegakure and recruited him into Akatsuki.
• Toneri recruited Konan and Kisame, warned them about Obito, and moved Akatsuki’s base to Kirigakure, where he explained the origins of chakra and his plans to unite the continent.
• Toneri declared war at the Five Kage Summit, and Obito offered the Kage help against Akatsuki while revealing the strength of Toneri’s core members.
• Sasuke awakened his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, then entered Konoha with Toneri, Tsunade, and Hanabi as the group split up to attack.
• Sasuke fought Kakashi and demanded Danzo’s location, while Toneri brought Hanabi to the Hyuga estate and Hinata agreed to leave with Toneri and share him with her sister.
• Sasuke attacked Kakashi, Shikamaru, and Neji with Blaze Release and Susanoo, but Naruto arrived and destroyed Sasuke’s arrow with a Rasengan.

Sasuke and Tsunade joined Otsutsuki Toneri’s Akatsuki, and Toneri led them into a war against the Four Great Ninja Villages. As the Ten-Tails awakened and the battles converged, Toneri absorbed its chakra and revealed a scarlet Rinnegan while Black Zetsu betrayed Madara.

• Sasuke refused Naruto’s pleas to abandon revenge, and he and Tsunade left with Hanabi to pursue Danzo while Jiraiya and the Konoha ninja tried to stop them.
• Sasuke killed Danzo, Tsunade broke with Konoha, and Sasuke revealed his Perfect Susanoo before Toneri returned his group to Kirigakure.
• Toneri prepared the Akatsuki for war, then destroyed most of the Allied Shinobi Forces with a Final Truth-Seeking Orb as Kabuto’s reanimated fighters appeared across the battlefields.
• Obito brought Jiraiya to Kabuto, who revived the four Hokage, while Sasuke defeated Itachi and Madara appeared among Kabuto’s reanimated fighters.
• Toneri and Kaguya overwhelmed Obito’s Tailed Beasts, Hashirama and the other Hokage joined the fight, and Obito awakened the Ten-Tails with the beasts’ chakra.
• Momoshiki, Kinshiki, and Urashiki flew toward Kaguya’s planet, while Tsunade declared her intent to build a new Konoha and Madara confronted Toneri beside the evolving Ten-Tails.
• Toneri escaped Madara’s attack, absorbed the Ten-Tails’ chakra, and awakened a scarlet Rinnegan as Black Zetsu revealed his betrayal of Madara and Toneri’s plan to free Kaguya.
