His Byakugan swept over the scene before him! It was an extraordinarily spacious underground chamber, over twenty meters high and at least as large as a soccer field. The chamber was filled with precision instruments he had never seen before, unknown liquids flowed through pipes, and indicator lights flashed in every color.
Most striking of all were the two enormous transparent containers at the center of the chamber.
Each container held a figure imprisoned in a white restraint suit, with dark purple Thunder Shackles locked around his limbs.
Momoshiki Otsutsuki.
Urashiki Otsutsuki.
"At last... I found them." A trace of complicated emotion flashed through Isshiki's eyes! There was the relief of finding his companions, the anger of seeing their miserable condition, and, more than anything, a deep wariness of the man who had caused all this.
He strode toward the two containers.
What he failed to notice, however, was this!
In a corner of the laboratory ceiling, an extremely well-concealed camera was silently turning, transmitting his every movement to a surveillance screen on the top floor of Sōkū Tower.
Before that screen, Sōkyū Hatake held a teacup and watched it all with interest.
"Ōtsutsuki Isshiki..." He softly spoke the name, the curve of his lips growing wider. "Welcome to my flytrap."
He did not act immediately.
He wanted to see what this thousand-year-old monster would do after finding Momoshiki Otsutsuki and Urashiki Otsutsuki.
Would he try to rescue them? Or... would he do something else?
"Show me your trump cards, Ōtsutsuki Isshiki." Sōkyū Hatake set down his teacup, interlaced his fingers, and rested his chin on his hands. "Let me see just what you're capable of."
