"Yes, I'm betting he'll win." Danzo simply looked at Hiruzen Sarutobi, his eyes betraying little emotion, as though he were chatting with an old friend.
"What are the stakes?" Hiruzen Sarutobi frowned. What exactly did Danzo mean by this?
"The stakes are that if I win, you can't stop me from approaching Sōkyū Hatake," Danzo declared confidently.
"That's impossible. How could he possibly beat Minamikawa Ōzora?" Hiruzen Sarutobi instinctively countered.
"Then are you betting or not? I believe Sōkyū Hatake will win." Danzo looked at Hiruzen Sarutobi with some amusement, as though he had seized the initiative.
"What if you lose?" Hiruzen Sarutobi looked at Danzo, unable to quite figure out what this guy was trying to do.
"If I lose, I won't interfere with this graduating class," Danzo said flatly. He had already looked over this graduating class in advance, and there weren't any promising prospects.
PS: This doesn't mean Sōkyū Hatake's class, but the class graduating this year.
"Deal. If you lose, neither you nor your Root people can interfere with the upcoming graduates." Hiruzen Sarutobi considered it carefully. There really wasn't much downside to this.
Minamikawa Ōzora, whom he had sent out, couldn't possibly lose. Even Kakashi, when he had graduated early, had only been a little stronger than an ordinary Genin, nowhere near the level of a Chunin.
So he had great faith in Minamikawa Ōzora!
"Then let's wait and see." Danzo leaned back with his arms folded, his expectations influencing him.
"We'll see." Hiruzen Sarutobi paid Danzo no further attention and simply watched what was happening on the field.
At that moment, Sōkyū Hatake and Minamikawa Ōzora stood facing each other, both forming the Seal of Confrontation.
"Teacher Nanchuan, watch out!" Sōkyū Hatake narrowed his eyes slightly, and the next second, he appeared directly behind
