Lu Heng stood in the cleared woodland and reached out to touch the Wristband.

The intricately patterned Victorious Chest flashed and disappeared into the inventory.

Now is not the time to examine the loot.

He suppressed the lingering soreness in his arm, strode forward, and continued deeper into the Frost Forest.

The trees grew denser, their branches intertwining to completely block out the sunlight. Walking on the frozen earth and Withered Branch produced only a faint, grinding sound.

After walking a few hundred meters ahead, an unusual noise appeared in an open area.

Lu Heng immediately stopped, pressed himself against a tree trunk, and looked ahead.

A Goblin was standing in the open space.

It was smaller than the previous Silver Big Goblin, and it didn't have heavy bone armor or any melee weapons. Its thin claws gripped a Wooden Staff, with a grayish Crystal embedded in the top, and a faint energy flowing back and forth within the Crystal.

Not a warrior type.

Lu Heng felt a chill run down his spine.

This was the first time he had encountered a monster that possessed magical abilities.

All the aliens he had fought before were those who charged in for melee combat. Head-on clashes and physical duels were his preferred fighting style. Enemies using magic were a completely different matter.

Spell-based opponents are never easy to deal with; their methods are unpredictable, their destructive power is strong, and they often carry a lot of items with them.

Be wary of things escalating to their peak.

Lu Heng concealed his presence, hid behind the shadow of the tree trunk, and continued to observe the entire open space.

Two Bronze Tier Green Demon stood on either side of the Goblin Mage.

Without moving or shouting, their bodies were taut, their eyes scanning back and forth, acting as guards, firmly protecting the mage's side.

Looking further into the center of the open space, there floated a constantly twisting, dark ball of light.

It is Teleportation Device.

The device operated on its own, requiring no maintenance from the Goblin Mage. The space trembled slightly, and every few seconds, a Black Iron Tier Green Demon would fall out of the ball of light. After landing, it would roar and wander around the open space.

The longer it drags on, the more Black Iron Green Demon there will be.

Lu Heng knew he couldn't linger here and just observe.

With a thought, he activated the Blood Taisui.

Beneath the ground, crimson Mycelium silently spread outwards, following the cracks in the soil, bypassing rocks and tree roots, and quietly extending towards the open space along the surface.

The plan is to use the Mycelium to directly lock down the Goblin Mage, and incidentally interfere with the Teleportation Device to cut off the source of the spawning.

The Mycelium stealthily advanced, and it was now only a few meters away from the Goblin Mage.

At this very moment.

An invisible wave of spiritual energy suddenly swept across the entire open space.

It's not an attack visible to the naked eye; it's purely a mental probe.

The life signals hidden in the Mycelium of the Blood Taisui were directly captured by this spiritual force.

The sneak attack was exposed.

Lu Heng instantly felt the sweeping mental impact and immediately mobilized his mental power to meet and resist it.

Unseen forces clashed in the shadows, and his hiding place was completely exposed.

It can't be hidden anymore.

Lu Heng no longer made a conscious effort to conceal his presence.

So what if we're exposed? Let's just launch a direct attack.

Before he could rush out, the air above him suddenly began to distort.

A semi-transparent, enormous Void Hand materialized out of thin air, carrying an oppressive aura, and pressed down and grabbed directly at Lu Heng's location.

The air was stirred, producing a dull tremor.

He is indeed a genuine mage.

Lu Heng did not retreat. He concentrated his mental energy and released a Mind Spike instantly.

The sharp mental impact struck the Void Hand directly.

The two collided.

The translucent giant hand suddenly trembled, and the internal energy chains shattered, turning into scattered fragments of light.

The shockwaves from the clash of spells spread outwards, alerting all the monsters on the open ground.

The two Bronze Green Demon on either side roared and charged towards Lu Heng.

Several Black Iron Green Demon that had already landed also approached upon hearing the sound.

The Goblin Mage stood beside the Teleportation Device, his staff raised, the Gray Crystal's light flickering. He didn't charge forward, but remained guarding the device, his gaze fixed on Lu Heng, who had already appeared, preparing to unleash the next round of spells.

The blood-red Mycelium that had been detected on the ground had not been destroyed.

Under Lu Heng's control, they dispersed. One group faced the charging Bronze Green Demon, while the other group continued to circle around, attempting to get closer to the Teleportation Device again.

The sneak attack failed, but the Mycelium's binding ability still works.

Lu Heng, holding Goblin Battleaxe, strode out from behind the tree trunk.

The Black Iron Green Demon was the first to rush forward, lunging and biting wildly.

With a horizontal swing of the battle axe, bone armor and flesh shattered, and the two leading figures fell to the ground instantly.

Two Bronze Green Demon followed closely behind. They were trained by the instinct of guards, and they staggered their positions one in front and one behind, slashing with their bone blades, their attacks overlapping.

Lu Heng raised his axe to block.

The bone weapon slammed into the axe, the shock traveling up the handle to the forearm.

He wore Bone-Patterned War Boots and slid to the side to dodge a bone blade slashing from the other side.

The crimson Mycelium underground wrapped around the ankle of one of the Bronze Green Demon.

The Green Demon suddenly stopped, its movements momentarily halted.

In that brief moment, Lu Heng slammed his battle axe down, cleaving into its body.

This Bronze Green Demon immediately lost its ability to move and collapsed heavily.

The Greedy Wolf Power was activated, and strands of blood and qi were separated from the corpse and flowed into Lu Heng's body to replenish the energy lost from the continuous battle.

Upon seeing its companion fall, the other Bronze Green Demon roared even more ferociously and pounced again without regard for its own safety.

In the distance, the Goblin Mage's staff lit up once more.

This time, no Void Hand materialized.

Several dark energy points rapidly formed in front of the staff and shot towards Lu Heng one after another.

Projectile attack.

Lu Heng locked his gaze on the incoming energy beams, dealing with the Bronze Green Demon before him while also dodging spells.

The dim light from the Teleportation Device was still slightly distorted.

Another Black Iron Tier Green Demon fell out of the aura and joined the battle.

The situation has completely unfolded. We can't delay; we must deal with the Goblin Mage as soon as possible, cut off the magical threat, and then deal with this Teleportation Device that keeps spawning enemies.

Lu Heng knew very well that the key to this battle was not the guards who rushed up to fight.

The real threat is the spellcaster wielding a staff behind them.
