Danzo's face darkened. He felt that Bieshu Feifan had embarrassed him.
He gave a light cough to ease the awkwardness.
"Everyone, leave Hanzo of the Salamander alone for now. We'll deal with Iwagakure first."
At this, one Shinobi voiced his agreement:
"Lord Danzo is right. After such a long, grueling war, Amegakure has essentially lost its ability to wage war, apart from Hanzo of the Salamander.
"Besides, they've just won a battle and will immediately have to face the threat from Iwagakure. For now, their objective is the same as ours."
Hearing this, Danzo's eyes immediately lit up.
"Yes, exactly. That's precisely what I was thinking."
In reality, what Danzo had been thinking was:
He probably couldn't beat Hanzo of the Salamander.
Fighting Iwagakure would be much safer. As long as Ōnoki stayed out of it, his life would basically be in no danger.
Attacking the Land of Rain wouldn't be worth it.
With the Land of Rain's Shinobi having suffered such heavy losses, Hanzo of the Salamander now personally led practically every battle.
Danzo neither wanted nor dared to fight him.
At the very least, Danzo wasn't confident he could defeat Orochimaru and Tsunade at the same time.
With their strategic objective decided, Danzo immediately began issuing orders, assigning a Jōnin named Dan Katō to take a few people and keep watch over Hanzo of the Salamander.
He would take the rest and deal a devastating blow to the Iwagakure forces within the Land of Rain.
Bieshu Feifan was assigned to Danzo's group.
With Danzo leading them, the group of several dozen headed straight for Iwagakure's camp.
Bieshu Feifan resorted to his old trick, hypnotizing a few genin to surround him as they ran.
The Three-Tomoe Sharingan was simply too useful for sneak attacks on teammates.
As he ran,
