Original World and Holy Soul Village

Su Ling remembers reading about Douluo Continent before arriving there. Old Jack found him and raised him in Holy Soul Village, where he grew up alongside Tang San. Recognizing the setting, Su Ling initially concealed his differences and behaved like the other village children to avoid attracting Tang San’s hostility 1.

Old Jack’s care gave him a healthier childhood than Tang San’s: when the village had no milk-producing livestock, Old Jack traveled to a distant town every day to buy milk for him. Su Ling consequently grew a full head taller than his same-age neighbor 4.

His apparent rank-four stone Martial Soul initially disappointed him. That changed when the Quest Bounty System offered innate full Soul Power for defeating Tang San. Throwing the sphere revealed its extraordinary weight, won the fight, and attracted Su Yuntao’s investment and Spirit Hall’s attention 1 2.

Rescuing Ah Yin and Entering Nuoding Academy

After learning that his Martial Soul was a planet, Su Ling sought Ah Yin as its first ecological foundation. With the system’s directions, he located her cave, crushed Tang Hao’s three protective barriers, and absorbed her without destroying her consciousness. Ah Yin regained her body and became his first contracted Soul Beast 3 4 5.

At Nuoding Academy, he helped Tang Xiaosan enter despite the gatekeeper’s obstruction. He then challenged Yu Xiaogang’s claims of expertise, preventing him from taking Tang Xiaosan as a disciple on the strength of an unsubstantiated twin-Martial-Soul theory 8 9.

Tang Xiaosan’s attachment became dangerous when she drugged and abducted him. Ah Yin eventually intervened, revealed that she was Tang Xiaosan’s mother, and warned her against harming Su Ling again 12 13 14.

Su Ling subsequently took Tang Hao’s six Soul Bones and distributed them with Tang Xiaosan. He also returned to check on Old Jack, leaving five Gold Soul Coins in the Spirit Hall branch’s name 18.

Heaven Dou City

During the academy vacation, Su Ling traveled to Heaven Dou City to treat Emperor Xue Ye’s poisoning and sell Soul Bones. Before leaving, Su Yuntao supplied financial assistance and recommendation letters for Su Ling, Tang Xiaosan, and Xiao Wu to attend Heaven Dou Royal Academy 20 21.

Su Ling escorted Princess Xue Ke to the palace and diagnosed Xue Ye’s condition as poisoning. His treatment removed both the toxins and blockages in the emperor’s meridians, earning him recognition as an honored guest of the Heaven Dou Empire 23 24.

His presence disrupted existing political plans. Xue Ye’s recovery undermined Qian Renxue’s poisoning scheme, while Ning Fengzhi sought to recruit him. At the state banquet, Su Ling defended himself against Prince Xue Xing’s guards and later secured Ning Rongrong’s acceptance of his proposal with a hundred-thousand-year Soul Bone 28 31 33.

Building the Planetary Ecosystems

Su Ling helped Dugu Bo resolve his poison problem, condense a soul core, and reach level ninety-six with Ultimate Poison. As repayment, he claimed the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, transporting it into his Martial Soul. During the process, his planet expanded until it was visible beside Douluo Star 37 38.

He recruited Dugu Bo for his plan to establish a faction and unify the continent. At the Star Dou Great Forest, he negotiated with Gu Yue using eggs containing the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings’ hatchlings. Xiao Wu’s subsequent absorption completed his first planet’s ecological balance, and the system awarded him a second Chaos Planet 38 42.

The Myriad Demon King became the foundation of his second ecosystem. Su Ling later named her Wan Xiaoyao, accepted her vine bracelet, and obtained her agreement to provide cultivation-enhancing tree sap 45 47.

Star Luo Campaign and the Far North

After Xiao Wu teleported the group into the Star Luo Imperial Palace, Su Ling became involved with its imperial family. Dai Tianyue offered an inherited White Tiger Soul Bone to secure his sons’ lives, and Dai Xingyue later proposed to Su Ling at a banquet 50 52 57.

When Star Luo mobilized against the Evil Soul Masters, Su Ling sustained and strengthened its marching army with two complementary domains. With both the Plane Spirit and Asura God targeting him, he then traveled north to obtain more Soul Rings rather than remain with the army 59 61.

In the Far North, he absorbed the Snow Empress and acquired Absolute Zero. He later prepared to intervene against Evil Soul Masters attacking Far North City and promised Ye Ningshuang that he would return for her after dealing with enemy leaders 62 64 67.

During the battle against Tang Hao, Su Ling used Absolute Zero to restrict his movements and called for the assembled allies to launch a combined strike 68.

Su Ling combines caution with opportunism. Before obtaining his system, he deliberately avoided standing out; afterward, he welcomed the prospect of hiding his strength until he could act safely. He readily pursues valuable rewards, but also considers practical risks such as Tang Hao retaliating against Holy Soul Village 1 16.

He is protective of people he accepts as his own. He supports Tang Xiaosan against the academy gatekeeper and Yu Xiaogang, provides her with Soul Bones, and arranges an Ah Yin clone to protect her during travel. His gratitude toward Old Jack and Su Yuntao also survives his rapid rise in strength 8 9 18 20 21.

Despite pursuing power, he places importance on establishing stable planetary rules. He rejects absorbing powerful beasts such as Di Tian or Xiong Jun merely for immediate gains when doing so might damage their strength or his ecosystem’s development 43.

His confidence does not erase his attachment to his former life. Watching the sunset in the Heaven Dou palace makes him melancholy about the parents he left behind, and Snow Ji comforts him through their emotional connection 31.
