Background

Tang San stole a hundred-year wolf poison from Zhu Wu's home, intending to use it on Tang Sect hidden weapons. He regarded the purpose behind poison and hidden weapons as more important than the weapons themselves, while Zhu Wu considered the theft grounds for revenge. 1

He lived in Holy Soul Village with his father, Tang Hao. After their home was destroyed in an explosion, Tang Hao protected him and carried him to safety. Tang San survived with severe injuries, including the loss of a testicle. 6 7

At Notting City, Tang San became Yu Xiaogang's student, found work as a blacksmith, and maintained a routine of morning classes, afternoon forging, and nighttime cultivation. 17 His identity as Tang Hao's son later brought the loyalty of the Strength Clan and the attention of Spirit Hall. 152 154

Tang San initially possessed Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer as Twin Martial Souls. Zhu Wu identified his Blue Silver Grass as a Blue Silver Emperor bloodline inherited through a hundred-thousand-year soul beast mother. 204 223 His martial soul later evolved after absorbing the seventy-thousand-year Ghost King Vine Soul Ring, changing his hair dark blue as well. 271

After receiving Poseidon's recognition on Sea God Island, Tang San completed the Sea God's trials, accumulated high-level Soul Rings and Soul Bones, and ultimately became the Sea God. 273 294 318

Appearance

Following his Blue Silver Grass transformation, Tang San's facial features remained largely unchanged, but his complexion became paler and his hair turned dark blue. 271

  • Wields the Clear Sky Hammer, which can enlarge into a massive weapon in battle. 492
  • His hands turn jade-like while using Mystic Jade Hand. 174
  • His eyes become purple when using Purple Demon Eyes. 463
  • Possesses multiple Soul Bones, including a White Tiger Soul Bone and several hundred-thousand-year Soul Bones. 155 303

Personality

Tang San is ambitious, persistent, and highly competitive. Defeat by Long Ying Tian causes intense self-doubt, but he repeatedly recommits himself to surpassing his rival through cultivation, Soul Bones, and his Twin Martial Souls. 148 215 263

He is protective of Xiao Wu and strongly driven by familial loyalty. Threats against Xiao Wu, Tang Hao, or his sect provoke ruthless retaliation and vows of revenge. 152 254 296

His pursuit of strength can override restraint. He proposes torturing a Ten Thousand Year Soul-Devouring Demon Spider to prevent its resentment from disrupting Soul Ring absorption, drains the spiritual origins of Sea Soul Beasts to strengthen his final attack, and severely injures opponents while pursuing revenge. 188 196 325
