Lin Qian’s Body Martial Soul preserves a connection to his former self in the Immortal Sect. Before his awakening in Spirit City, he has already formed a nascent soul and survived a lightning tribulation. He discovers that his cultivation method works on Douluo Continent by repeatedly refining Soul Power into a purer energy 3 304.

Yue Guan brings him from the Star Dou Great Forest to Spirit City and personally conducts his awakening. His level-80 power at twelve astonishes the elders, and he becomes Bibi Dong’s disciple and Spirit Hall’s Saint Son, designated to inherit the pontiff’s position 3 6 12.

Lin Qian also remembers the original Douluo Continent story. He regards Spirit Hall’s internal divisions and repeated failures to eliminate Tang San as avoidable disasters, and commits himself to preventing that outcome 24 28.

Qian Renxue and the Heaven Dou Infiltration

His appointment as Saint Son initially conflicts with Qian Renxue’s hereditary claim to Spirit Hall. Their first meeting becomes a duel, followed by Qian Daoliu’s insistence that Lin Qian become her fiancé 24 26.

For operations in Heaven Dou, Lin Qian adopts the identity Li Si, supposedly Minister Li Yan’s distant nephew from a northern village destroyed by a beast tide. He cultivates a public reputation before approaching the imperial family, studies etiquette and music at Moonlight Pavilion, and later joins Heaven Dou Royal Academy 40 45 65.

He works with Qian Renxue, who has replaced Crown Prince Xue Qinghe, and proposes poisoning the capable princes Xue Luochuan and Xue Haicang to remove obstacles to her mission 51 52. His standing under the Li Si identity eventually rises from earl to duke, although he refuses Emperor Xue Ye’s proposed marriage to Princess Xue Ke 65 241.

Slaughter City and the Sun Moon Continent

Lin Qian enters Slaughter City with Hu Liena and wins his first Hell Slaughter Arena match with a single mental attack. The Asura God observes him and decides to make him his successor 79.

Seeking Soul Tool technology, he travels to the Sun Moon Continent and enrolls at the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy. There, he befriends Zhong Lixuan and Du Desi, studies under Yi Hongchen, and advances rapidly as a Soul Engineer 97 98 101 103.

He kills the Evil Emperor to obtain a suitable spiritual Soul Ring and Head Soul Bone. By seventeen, he has become a Level 8 Soul Engineer, an imperial duke, and Princess Xu Xiuxiu’s husband before returning to Douluo Continent 111 115.

Tournament and Spirit Hall Leadership

Lin Qian leads the Imperial Fighting Team under his Li Si identity while maintaining his position in Spirit Hall. He defeats Tang San, earns recognition from the Worship Hall by overcoming Light Feather Douluo, and becomes its Eighth Enshrined Elder 128 132 136 137 138.

During the tournament convoy ambush, he protects his teammates while secretly coordinating with Spirit Hall. He warns Yue Guan that Tang Hao is concealed nearby and arranges the attackers’ withdrawal 190.

His work also includes strengthening allies: he treats Dugu Yan’s poison, offers Dugu Bo a Soul Bone-based treatment, and helps Qian Renxue absorb the Ten Headed Fierce Yang Serpent’s inner core. The latter process evolves her Martial Soul into the Twelve-Winged Seraphim 68 211.

Sea God Island and Asura Inheritance

On Sea God Island, Lin Qian advances through trials while protecting his companions. He completes the First Trial without abandoning Wang Qiu’er, uncovers Bo Saixi’s order for Sea Dragon Douluo to kill him if he fails the fifth, and later extracts the Sea God Trident 269 284 294.

His conflict with Poseidon culminates in a divine-level battle in which he unlocks additional dragon bloodline seals and slays the Sea God’s avatar. He leaves the island at level 99 303 304 305 308.

Returning to Slaughter City with Wang Qiu’er, he opens the Asura Secret Realm. He destroys the Nine-Headed Bat King possessing Tang Chen, restores Tang Chen’s control, and ultimately purifies him completely, scattering his body and soul 314.

Empire and Divine Realm

Under his Li Si identity, Lin Qian establishes the Tang Sect and subdues the four great clans. He recruits Lou Gao, develops the Fasinuo underground base, and later leaves Tang San to manage the sect while he pursues further cultivation 334 342 345.

He expands Spirit Hall’s influence until Heaven Dou becomes its vassal, preventing the original palace coup. After defeating Bibi Dong, killing the Rakshasa God, and imprisoning her with her Soul Power sealed, he succeeds to the imperial throne and formally weds Qian Renxue 345 360 362 364 373.

His final victory over the opposing God Kings allows him to reorganize the Divine Realm. He establishes the Divine Dragon Realm, appoints Electrolux to develop the Spirit Pagoda and soul spirit system, introduces artificial Soul Rings, and raises the mortal world’s cultivation ceiling.
