Being able to show these paintings to the Patriarch and Senior Shi while benefiting from them himself was naturally an outcome Huang Xiao found very satisfying.
Now he only had to wait until the Patriarch and Senior Shi finished looking at them and could offer him some guidance.
Huang Xiao was full of anticipation, but also a little nervous.
He feared his paintings were not lifelike enough to capture their spirit.
A little under a quarter of an hour later, Huang Xiao sensed the Patriarch and Senior Shi withdraw their gazes from the paintings, so he ended his meditation.
The meditation and regulated breathing had restored most of Huang Xiao's mental energy, and his complexion had improved considerably.
"That wore you out quite a bit, didn't it?" Shi Hen asked with a smile when he saw Huang Xiao awaken.
"I actually wish this sort of thing would happen a few more times," Huang Xiao said.
"Oh? What do you mean?" Shi Hen asked curiously.
Huo Lian was also watching Huang Xiao.
"While concentrating fully on painting just now, I gained quite a few new insights into those moves in my mind. I came to understand many more of the moves I couldn't comprehend before," Huang Xiao said.
"That's only natural." Huo Lian smiled. "Putting what's in your mind onto paper is no simple task. It's perfectly normal to gain such insights in the process."
"Senior Hall Master, Senior Shi, what do you think of these paintings? Are they useful?" Having spoken, Huang Xiao watched the two of them expectantly.
These paintings were the fruit of his painstaking effort. If the two seniors could not gain any insights from them, they would be unable to guide him.
"Very good." Huo Lian smiled.
"Yes, I gained a great deal," Shi Hen said
