A creature two and a half meters tall, built entirely of white bones, walked leisurely in, its loose skeleton swaying.
The bones of this creature were as sharp as spearheads, flaring extravagantly like petals and completely blocking the narrow passage. With every step it took, a thick wave of deathly aura washed over them, as though reminding everyone that it was a creature that did not belong in this world.
As a high-level undead creature, the Bone Demon had descended into this world under the constraints of Contract Power. It carried the deathly aura and desolation unique to the Undead World and was filled with loathing for the creatures of this world. Possessing advanced intelligence, it could even sense the fear of the creatures before it.
When it reached the cave entrance, an order formed by the Contract Power made it stop there, abruptly halting its attempt to kill the creatures before it. It had already struggled furiously against the caster of the contract on its way here, however, and understood that the caster possessed enough power to destroy it. Only for that reason did it refrain from resisting.
When everyone inside the mountain looked toward Asa, they naturally saw the towering Bone Demon completely blocking the passage out. Behind its swaying, sharp-edged skeleton came heavy footsteps, pounding like drumbeats against their panicked hearts.
Within a few breaths, several eerie ghostly flames lit up behind the Bone Demon. Like little lanterns, they slowly approached with the footsteps. When they reached the Bone Demon's back, everyone saw several enormous, knightlike silhouettes in their light, sealing the passage tight.
By now, everyone inside the mountain knew their only way out had been blocked. If they wanted to leave, they would have to kill the Bone Demon and Evil Knights in the passage.
