Fubin'en was a little puzzled at first. After a while, he gave a startled shudder, seemingly remembering something, and his face filled with delighted surprise.
"Where is Emily?" Phoebe's voice trembled as she stared at Chester and asked urgently. Anyone could see her excitement.
"My lady has just returned from outside. She should be giving some instructions at headquarters now," Chester answered respectfully.
"Mm, Hagrid, that settles things. Please head back. I have something to attend to, so I'll be leaving first." Phoebe nodded and quickly said this to Hagrid. Without another glance at him or the others, she hurried outside, seemingly unwilling to stay a moment longer. The moment she stepped out, she called, "Someone, get my horse ready!"
After receiving the letter Emily had sent, the hurried-looking Phoebe left immediately, unable to wait any longer, leaving the group exchanging bewildered looks.
Hagrid looked despondent, surprise and confusion in his eyes. He stared blankly at Phoebe's retreating figure, not knowing what to do.
"I'll take my leave." Chester, who had delivered the letter, smiled faintly at Fubin'en, bowed appropriately to Hagrid, and quietly withdrew.
Phoebe and Chester had left, but Fubin'en remained immersed in irrepressible delight. The smile at the corners of his mouth was so obvious, and his eyes were so excited.
"Mr. Fubin'en, what exactly is going on?" Clearly, Hagrid had also noticed something in Fubin'en's expression. Too bewildered to contain himself, he asked.
Taking a deep breath to steady his excitement, Fubin'en gave Hagrid a somewhat pitying look and smiled. "If I'm not mistaken, Lord Brian, whom our young lady has been waiting for all this time, should be back!"
"Impossible! Didn't that fellow die long ago?" Hagrid's expression changed, and he continued in some despair, "The information conveyed by the pope of the Church of
